My girlfriend and I stayed here and absolutely loved it. Our room was huge and had a beautiful big balcony and a king sized bed. If you’re staying here you should definitely request a room with a balcony, it’s a great place to have your morning coffee or to relax at the end of the day. The hotel is really centrally located and is a great place to explore Florence from. There are loads of restaurants and shops close by and a bus stop right outside the hotel. The staff were always incredibly friendly and helpful. The buffet breakfast was amazing and had lots of options. There is also an amazing restaurant and wine bar a short walk away called Nabucco which has an all you can eat dinner special for €8. I would 100% recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again.
This hotel looks nice but the service is terrible. We had no water three days. The hotel staff gave no explanations, never said sorry, misinformed us repeatedly, and were reluctant in handing out water bottles. Furthermore, room service was bad (no towels) and the elevator repeatedly got stuck. Go somewhere else!
We stay three days in Florence where we were able to walk everywhere in town. The Duomo, La Accademia with Michelangelo's David, the Ufizzi, and the Palazo Veccio, and Santa Croce. Breakfast was great for a walking day. Rooms clean and in a great old fashion for Californians. We loved that old style. I would be back if I return to Firenze :)
My husband and I went to Pisa and Florence for our summer holiday and stayed in hotel De la Pace while in Florence. The staff were all very friendly and helpful with all our questions, the breakfast was excellent and the room was fantastic. Would definitely stay here again.
Pro:the best hung about the hotel is the location, a few min away from train station. Has a kettle and coffee making facilities, but no plug to use the kettle. Mini market right outside and around the corner. Restaurants are available on doorstep. Buffet Breakfast is available at 9 Euro. We did not try, we had an early train. Staff at reception very helpful Cons:hotel is very old and furniture needs to be replaced. The area looks a bit seedy with a lot of homeless people just sitting around. No fridge no safe
This Hotel is close to the David Museum and convenient to good restaurants and monuments. The staff were very efficient, helpful with getting us settled and providing directions etc. The rooms are very modern for a very old hotel, The only negative was the noisy airconditioning (we could not slow down the fan). Myself and my partner stayed here for 2 nights when staying in Florence. The location was brilliant - a 10 min walk to all main attractions with a 5 min walk to David. George at Reception was very friendly, welcoming and extremely helpful in regards to directions and recommendations. The room was really nice and big and had lovely high ceilings. It was very clean. Breakfast was very good with lots to choose from. I would defiantly stay here again. I highly recommend!
We stayed in a large, sunny room - nothing to complain about, although it is not luxurious either. There was a large breakfast buffet with many options. Great location, being only a 10-15 minute walk from the Duomo.
We were here 1 night at the end of a 10 day trip. The hotel is nice and the staff was friendly. We enjoyed a free drink in the bar and had a nice chat with the bartender. However, the hairdryer in our room didn't work and the air conditioner was not working well, or at least not well enough for a warm June evening, because we all (4 of us) woke up at 2 am drenched in sweat. I had to open a window, which worked well enough, until the street noises start around 5:30 am. Not our best sleep. The location is great, not far from the Duomo. The breakfast was ok. Nothing special, soggy bacon, and no cappuccino. We came down at 8:45 and saw pancakes on someone's table but there weren't any more left, and they didn't make more, which was odd since breakfast went on for 45 more minutes. So get up early if you want pancakes. We liked the dog that hung around the lobby.
I have to say I was disappointed in general with the hotel. The rooms were basic. The lift to the rooms tiny, which meant you were waiting ages to use it when busy. The breakfast only starts at 7:30 mid week which is late for those who are catching excursions.. I found the reception staff had a lack of general knowledge about the basic tourist information. Also none of them wore name tags which is very impersonal.. the only plus point of the hotel was its location.
