The worst hotel ever stayed in my life. This is a prostitute hotel with very dangerous people coming during the night time to stay. The room stinks and dirty sheets. You can actually get infected living at this location. It is so bad. Please do not write reviews for this hotel with lies. This is the worst you can see in Fiji when it comes to paying for a hotel. I had to leave the place and sleep in my car till the next day. I cried all night to get help. If you have children or family members please do not take them there. the place is worth $10.00 or less a night if you plan to stay.
Our stay at the capricorn international hotel was doomed from the start. I had emailed the hotel with our arrival date and time so we could be picked up by there advertised service of free airport transfers. I even made a phone call to confirm that someone would be there to meet us this was confirmed over the phone and also with a return email from them. Well we arrived in fiji and no pickup so we grabed a taxi to the motel only to be told that they had forgot to put it into the book. Our room was a deluxe king The bed was two singles pushed together so you always had the join in the middle it was like sleeping on a slab of concrete I'm sure my back will never be the same again. So they provide coffee tea and sugar for the room we asked for a small amount of milk and were told we are a poor motel you need to buy your own. They take your towels around 8.30am and bring them back between 3 and 4pm after washing them when asked if we could have a clean set left in the mornings we were told the same thing we are a poor motel and dont have extra towles so no shower in the middle of the day. They advertise a tour desk so we went down to book a few tours only to be told no one can do it and to walk down the road to two motels away and they would book it. Well what an eye opener that was even though we weren't staying at that motel the service was excellent and the staff were so friendly and that's how we thought it was going to be at our motel but the staff there were so unhappy not friendly at all. So they also advertise paid wifi we waited 4 day for them to get the prepaid cards in so we could check our emails now this is the xmas break busy time motel full you would think they would have the forsight to know people are going to want this service and have extra cards available. There is a night club next door that starts operating around 10pm at might and continues until 5am in the morning the noise is horrible makes it difficult to sleep. The positive side of the stay would be the cleaning lady and the little old man that carried our bags to our room the were super friendly and very welcoming it would be nice if the rest of the staff copied from them the stay would Have been so much nicer. So to sum it Dont stay here
We had 1 night here before heading out to Tavarua. Our room was clean, air con worked, we could get a drink and something to eat at 9pm, and the supermarket was next door for us to buy some supplies the next morning, staff were nice, so that was all we needed.
We have stayed at the Capricorn many times over the years as a stop over en-route to the Yasawas. Staff are always very friendly and helpful, breakfast is included and room and bed are clean. Yes the road out front is a mess currently due to upgrades and the nightclub next door can be loud. Nothing that good ear-plugs can't fix. It's my choice of Hotel for a stop-over.
Had a lovely time in Fiji. The hotel was average.Taxi drivers very nice.Gardens of the Sleeping Giant highly recommend a visit,a photographers dream. The wonderful staff at Awesome tours.I booked through shop in Nadi.Personalised tour which covered all places in my wish list.
We stayed five nights in a poolside room. The beds are the most comfortable I have had in a very long time. The staff are lovely, friendly and helpful. We arrived early so were able to put our luggage in the secure area while we did a little shopping at Jetpoint next door. With the nightclub next door it pays to ask for a room away from the noise as it does go until 4/5am on the weekends. At the moment there are significant roadworks going on outside the hotel so there are no paths and it is a little difficult crossing the road at times.
Due to some miscommunication even though we booked the room 4 days before we were told that we had to wait for 5 more hours before we could check in. So we are there at reception with all our luggage, tired with lack of sleep after just arriving into the country. The lady receptionist didn't even offer any help about keeping our luggage somewhere but just bluntly dismissed us.
My friend and I were on our budget trip to Fiji for 5 days. We stayed 3 nights at Capricorn and enjoyed every single minute of it. We were warmly welcomed when we checked in after an overnight trip from Asia. (Free shuttles to/from the airport!) The facilities at Capricorn might seem minimal and outdated to those who are used to luxurious hotels, but they are actually nice considering the price you pay (not much at all). We loved their continental breakfast (included) every morning. A supermarket, a few bakeries, several restaurants, a cinema, and a pharmacy are located right next to the hotel as well as the bus stop. The bus fare is 70 cents to the bus terminal in downtown. We took an express bus ($5.95) to Sigatoka from the terminal. We paid additional $1 to Kula Adventure World. We took a bus to the bus terminal and another one for Port Denarau where there is a very nice shopping center. Boats are available from there to various beautiful islands. Capricorn is not a beach front hotel, but their swimming area is very nice and relaxing. Overall. we loved the hotel and the staff members!
That the booking and website stated that there was satellite TV in the rooms was untrue, as it is only available at the bar. This needs to be changed on their personal Capricorn International Hotel website and on bookings.com website. I booked a room with a garden view and when I got to there, I opened the curtains and the only view of a garden was if I turned my head and body slightly, as the windows looked straight out on to a bar roof. The booking I made said it came with a double bed and a single bed, however it came with one single bed, and another "double bed" made from two single bed pushed together. The bed sheets were NOT changed daily, the bed was merely remade without new sheets. I know this, as I looked at the sheet on Monday on my check-in and it had a mark. Then, on Tuesday, after the bed was made, I checked the bottom sheet and the same mark was there. The maid said that the mark was from the washing machine, but there were other marks on the sheet as well, so I know it wasn't changed. The sheets were finally changed when I stripped the bed and left the sheets on the floor. The bed sheets should be changed daily, no matter if you're checking-in, checking-out, or staying, there is no excuse as I was outside most days. Also, the sheets were uncomfortable, itchy and I got bites from both the "double" bed and the single bed. There was no alarm clock, and the free toiletries were only cakes of soap - no small shampoo's or conditioners, which is what I call free toiletries. This should not be classed as a hotel or resort, but a backpackers, as the maids didn't change the sheets daily. I didn't see any room service, and the restaurant only served breakfast - no lunch or dinner during my stay. I did like that the resort had a clean pool open during all hours, it was in a very good location, and I also liked that they had a free shuttle out to the airport for my morning flight.
We stayed here as part of a group doing a Habitat build outside of Nadi. The location was convenient to our build site, there are some great restaurants near to the hotel. There is a supermarket next door. The staff is lovely and very helpful. The rooms are ok. Some of our group had problems with critters in their room, we did not. Water pressure was spotty, continental breakfast was not great (we ended up eating next door at Burger King where it was air conditioned and they had free WiFi)
