The SPA offers a lot of different treatments and steam baths and saunas. Massages were good and equipment clean and modern. Swimming pool is nice (indoor to out and back). The hotel per se is a bit low-key for a 5 star establishment, the Asian suite we were in was a bit like the bigger brother of the rooms at the Seedamm Plaza down the hill - not much personality or original taste in the decoration. Absolutely nothing to complain about the personnel, from the top management to the cleaners everybody was extremely pleasant and kind.
One of the most beautiful spot to meet not only business-friends, clients and family. Staff very friendly, perfectly trained. Restaurant high quality, rooms with all the necessary comfort, View spectacular!
Just stayed there for a romantic weekend with my wife. Really enjoyed the place. Fantastic view over lake Zurich, very friendly staff and room ok, breakfast buffet also great. Only little downside was the long waiting time for the dishes on Saturday dinner. But they also had a big wedding in one of their large meeting rooms and therefore kitchen was at their limits. If we would have known that before we probably would have gone to an other place. But once the food arrived it was very good.
This is a lovely place for relaxing and rejuvenating. The rooms are comfortable and the view is magnificent. Rolling hills with cows or the beauty of Lake Zurich. Restaurant is superb and staff is finest anywhere. Beautiful spa and pool areas
In keeping with lots of Swiss restaurants, this kitchen added WAY too much salt to its main dish, but it does annoy when you ask for low salt, it had been drenched in it. Why.? Salt addicts can tip the salt cellar over later. This is a HUGE problem in aLps in general it does spoil a meal. i was a guest so said nothing further.
This hotel has an amazing view over Lake Zürich. You can sit outside or inside to enjoy the best view in town. Food is great, although portions could be a bit bigger. Nevertheless, clean rooms, good service.
Last Friday I had dinner with my family at Panorama Resort & Spa's Collina restaurant. The food was excellent and Frank Reichenbach and his team provided an excellent service. Really outstanding. I can only recommend this place.
We had the pleasure to use a voucher and invested it in a dinner. The staff was very friendly - service indeed perfect! However the food did not really meet expectations....the tatar was covered with salad, hence the salad sauce impacted the meat taste in a strange way... unfortunately the same with the sole(which was extremely small). The chef meets maybe canteen standard.... lake view is fantastic!
Despite being quite remote this is an excellent hotel for business events. Taxi from the train station to the hotel is affordable, so not big deal. The advantage of the remote location is the beautiful view over the Zürichsee - amazing! The hotel itself is very modern, nice interiour design, new furniture. The rooms are ok in terms of size, but of very comfy and chic, all with TV and free internet of course. The staff in the hotel is always very helpful and nice and the food is just amazing. Worth the money!
Panorama might have been a 5* hotel somewhat 20 years ago, but if (as it seems) nothing changes for this long, the standard gets lost somewhere along the way. Comparing this to Dolder or the Baur Au Lac or even most of the 4* hotels in Switzerland seems ridiculous. And the prices are the same!!! The rooms are shabby, the furniture in the facilities is outdated design-wise and very used up. I doubt i have ever seen corridor carpets this ugly and missmatched. The oriental room has something of a cheap brothel from the movies, with it's red lamps and a scary looking tub for two which they in all seriousness call a whirlPOOL. Money really does not buy style & good taste - it seems as if a cowfarmer's wife decorated rooms, corridors and facilities as well as made (herself) the uniforms of the (tragically, very friendly - to a creepy extent) staff. Many a fresh-in-love teenage girl enjoys rosepetals on the bed as a V-day deco, but the cheap rechaud-candles and what feels like a thousand too many rosepetals on every surface of the small red-litten room were simply repulsive. Spa treatment in the tiny rooms filled with smell of old oils was a joke. The darkness (dark- not dimmed), ment to hide how old and molded the objects in them were was more frightening than relaxing and the water in the outside pool is way to cold to be enjoyes considering the air temperature. The suposedly soothing music reminded of the wannabe-native-american guy that used to play in the zurich airport was tasteless and annoying - if simply for the fact of repeating every half hour. Buffet in the spa is sad - as mismatched and outdated as the interior and the bathing area desperately screams for a touch up - worse than your local public badi. We've been here for a couple of hours and are supposed to stay for dinner & overnight, we are contemplating dropping the idea in favor of a hammam in zurich and a good dinner at Caduff's. I had better stays at 3*hotels in Italy!
