I stayed in this hotel with my husband in March 2017. We arrived at night and welcomed by reception. Our room was changed upon request which was great. I would like to thank Huda and the other helpful guys on reception very helpful and highly professional. Also the restaurant staff were also very accommodating. Rooms are super clean which made our stay very special.
Start with your expectations set low if, like me, you paid less than £30 per night (incl. breakfast). The hotel location was great! Just off the main boulevard with lots of restaurants, cafes and bars. Only a 10min taxi ride to the medina. We arrived by car and discovered that the hotel parking was on-street, directly outside the main hotel entrance (the doorman manually removed the 'reserved' bollards) Checked in with our voucher and found our rooms to be adequate for our stay. Standard facilities, air conditioning and very basic toiletries. Hotel is clean but in desperate need of refurbishments (which is currently in progress). Staff are helpful but don't expect 5-star customer service. Breakfast buffet on the 6th floor was included in our stay and we were very impressed by the continental offering (given our expectations). Lunch and dinner menus are incredibly low cost and look very appetising. All in all its a great place to stop off for a few nights in Fes. If you're after luxury, then this probably isn't the place for you.
This place is basic, but was clean. The beds were comfortable and the heater worked, with the shower having plenty of hot water. What made this a 3 star and not a 4 star was the smoke smell in most areas of the hotel and the lack of the hotel to provide 2 keys. Me and a friend stayed there and we wanted to have 2 keys, to which we were told is impossible. Also, the restuarant on the 6th floor was drafty and the food was rather bland and lackluster. A cafe across the street is the ticket for food.
My wife and I stayed here while travelling around Morocco and studying Arabic. Thankfully, we booked this hotel during our stay in Fes as the staff were always trying to help with our practice. Moreover, the manageress would offer to translate any unfamiliar vocabulary for me! As for the general service, we were always made to feel welcome and cared for. Breakfast was always well prepared and they were incredibly patient with our poor time keeping. I really could not recommend this hotel enough!
Hotel was fine, but I'm sure you could find better at near the same price range. WiFi was down for part of our stay, which is inconvenient but not a deal-breaker. The restaurant on the top floor is basically the same as any of a hundred panini/pizza/kebab cafes you can find on the street. It's fine as far as a place to sleep; not much character or much in the way of amenities though.
Oh dear! Not sure about this hotel. It is located in the Ville Nouvelle so anywhere you want to go, it has to be by taxi, but there are several restaurants, cafes and banks nearby. The petit taxi fare to the Medina should only cost about Dh20, should, that is. The hotel is run down, our phone didn't work which meant several trips back and forth to reception to have the locked safe opened, the rooms were not so clean, bed linen was patched etc etc. Staff were generally unhelpful, especially the female receptionist, and wifi was only available in their foyer despite full strength coverage in the rooms, it just didn't work. After some agitation they finally got a 'technician' in to fix it. For €43, I guess it was OK. There is individually controlled air conditioning in the room. Breakfast is very basic, no fruit but plenty of bread and boiled eggs!
Location is very good staff very helpful, banks and money exchange opposition hotel nice area, alcohol and girls bringing in hotel from Out side not allowed, good hotel for good respective family's.No alcohol or bar in the hotel.Break fast lunch diner is on the roof floor with nice view, restaurant staff are very polite.
Fes is one of my favourite cities in Morocco and I was looking for to our stay there. We arrived quite late as out train was cancelled from tangier and we had to catch a coach. The receptionist was asleep when we arrived. We had a triple room which was quite large and it included a very nice traditional breakfast. The location is a bit far away from the fez souk but not to far by taxi. The staff were very polite although there was a mix up with the receipts at the end of out stay. The receptionist was a bit cocky and called my friend a teacher because he gave her the wrong receipt. Well sorry mate, do your job properly then!! All in All I would visit there again and maybe going in August so I expect the receptionist not to be sleeping or to be giving me the wrong receipt 😁
I had requested a non-smoking room, but when I go to the room, the first thing I noticed was the ashtray in the room, so I went downstairs to ask the receptionist to change my room. She insisted that a smoking room and a non-smoking room was the same! So, I insisted that she change me to another which she was reluctant to do. She sent someone up to show me another room - a dingy corner room with 3 narrow beds, then another unsuitable room, and then when they could not get rid of me, they gave me one of the better renovated rooms! All this trouble when all I wanted was a non-smoking room. The receptionist needs to learn better customer care because she had this attitude about her. This is no way to treat guests.
alright some people pay £20 - £25 quid a night and want a 5 stars hotel, I say that's not fair to be honest. for that price, you get that quality. full stop. I was going to give it 1 star at first but then I thought I wasn't being fair. in fact it's not a 3 stars hotel as it claims to be. the hotel is in a good location, granted. it's got its own free parking which is good. it offers an average breakfast. however the rooms are too small. and stuffy I would have liked bigger. it's alright for a 2 stars hotel in the UK. recommended. . for a traveller on a limited budget.
