The title pretty much says it all: This hotel is really in need of a refresh. There's mold in the bathrooms, stains in the carpet (photo), the Wifi is not working, and the furniture is worn. We also didn't get a double bed as reserved. In short, stay away.

Propably the worst ever hotel experience even though we have travelled a lot. Maintenance of this hotel has been badly neglected, cockroaches, overflowing sewage on bathroom floor, hotel room smelled like someone died in there. Torn carpets everywhere. Never never never again.

Very nice hotel with views of the ocean. Rooms are good enough- simple and well appointed. The complimentary breakfast is very good with many options. Walking distance to town. Front desk and hotel staff very friendly and helpful. We would stay there again.

This hotel is a great location to bars restaurant grocery with clean rooms helpful staff and a wonderful free breakfast buffet. Nice parking is free a bit of distance from the airport so rent a car the pool is clean and beautiful

Stopped here for 8 nights. Hotel very pleasant but a bit dated. Our room was reasonable size and had an excellent view of Pico. Restaurant was pleasant staff were very helpful but they seem to struggle to cope when large coach parties stay. We had to book to be able to eat there.Pools not heated which considering the climate is a bit of a negative.

This is an older hotel that shows its age in the room furnishings but you just have to step on balcony to forget all that! The view to Pico is worth the price of the room. The hotel provides a buffet breakfast that had both hot and cold choices including cereal, yogurts, bread, cheese and meats, fresh fruit and the ability to make your own pancakes. There was always scrambled egg and sausages. The coffee machine was great with lots of options from espresso to hot chocolate. The bed was very firm and the room had a musty smell. We slept with our balcony door open so it didn't bother us. The balcony was fabulous, big enough for our group of 6 to sit out, eat cheese, drink wine and enjoy the view. There was a safe but it didn't work. The bathroom had a bath/shower, bidet and toilet. The concierge was so very helpful and I wish I could remember his name. the other front desk staff had limited English but tried hard for us. The hotel itself is half way up the hill and you will feel the burn coming home at night! Lots of great restaurants an easy walk away - Papa's Pizza at the bottom of the hill (left out of hotel, first left and turn right at the bottom). Genuino and Canto da Doca near the Harbour. Peter's Cafe Sport is worth a drop in even if just for a drink and the Scrimshaw museum.

Its a nice 4 stars hotel, the rooms have a good size, clean. The staff is nice and friendly. Good breakfast with a good offer. It has a outdoor swimming pool. And the view is quiet something, the view of the Pico Island its a wonderful thing to see.

Cozy hotel, not too far from city center, comfortable room and friendly staff. Outdoor pool and nice balcony, breakfast buffet with local produce. A bit of a climb on the hill, but taxi is available and affordable for transportation. Not too far of a walk to the ferryboat - can visit Pico island as well as Sao Jorge for a small price. Located in a beautiful little town with lots of history and a nice long marina. Small island, but many beautiful places to see and visit.

Our stay here was pleasant, if isolated from shops and restaurants. The staff was friendly and helpful. Sketchy wi-Fi. The rooms were very clean and we felt safe here. The only problems were wi-fi, location of hotel ( steep hill) and isolation from POI. Driving is out of the question unless one has knowledge of all the one-way narrow streets from our 3rd floor room we had a fantastic view

We recently enjoyed our four days at this small hotel along with several other couples on an extended Azores tour. Except for spotty Wi-Fi and the lack of any workout facilities this hotel exceeded our expectations. The breakfast had lots of variety and a coffee machine with numerous options including decaf. We had two good and reasonably priced dinners while there. Staff are very friendly, rooms spacious and comfortable with a fantastic view of the harbour and Pico. The downtown is quite close although down a steep hill. Highly recommended.
