We stayed in a double room before a 6am flight the following morning. The price was extremely competitive & with free parking. The services next door provide a good selection of food & there was no external noise from either traffic or aircraft. The hotel did actually give us the wake up call we asked for (we have been let down before). Would certainly recommend
First time at a Ramada and I must say it was a pleasant experience and excellent value . What reviewers seem not to understand is that this is a no frills budget hotel .What you do get is all you need for a short break or overnight stay , clean rooms, helpful reception , an excellent breakfast and a good nights sleep . Most issues as with most hotels is the lack of consideration from other guests . We got dropped of by car so no issues with the parking but ample parking if required directly outside the hotel .
Stayed prior to an 8am flight, the hotel is off the service station so plenty of food options at the service station if you don't want to eat in the restaurant. We received a polite welcome, clean room with good shower and the room appeared quiet even though on a service station. However, the evening we stayed, the room above us must have had an early flight and showered at around 3am, our room was subsequently filled with a loud whining almost alarm like sound that went on for the entirety of the time the shower was on, around 30 minutes and as such we were woken quiet horribly and could not get back to sleep. We were so tired the next day, so defeated the object of the overnight stay preflight. We didn't complain as we acknowledged that the room above us needed to shower and it was not their fault that the pluming system was deficient, and what would the hotel be able to do, it's clearly dodgey piping that needs fixing but that won't happen overnight. I have no idea if this issue is hotel wide or if we got an unlucky room, but the sound was intolerable. We aren't talking a slight rumbling or buzzing, this was a loud alarm like ringing, to the point where I checked the fire alarm to ensure it wasn't coming form there. If you stay, I suggest earplugs!
The hotel is generally good as is the breakfast. My complaint appears to be a regular one. Namely we booked two rooms for November and we were assured that parking is free. On arrival we were asked for our car registration number and this we gave. In am based overseas and some time later I received notice from my car hire company that the have received a parking penalty of 60 Pounds from the hotel. Furthermore, the car hire company say that they are making an admin charge of 36 Pounds for providing driver details. I have contacted the hotel and I do hope to received a refund of the penalty. The car hire company say that the 36.00 Pounds is not refundable. The point I wish to make is that the Ramada hotel appear on a regular basis not to report that you are a hotel guest and if you have a car - almost certain you will get a parking fine of 60.00 Pounds. My advice is if you have a car then do NOT stay here.
So we arrived for our preflight stay to find I had booked the wrong night!!! UNFORTUNATELY the staff were excellent and accommodated us for the evening. The room size is standard and cleanliness ok for footfall and age however it could do with updating. However after 2-3 hours of trying to get to sleep none of us could (family of 4) for the following reasons! Heating system is SOOO loud. The ONLY way you’ll get to sleep over it is to turn it off, not handy when outside is minus 5!! Turning off however allows you to hear the water heater (or something like) boil itself for 15seconds every minute! Also the shower leaked, drip drip drip etc! So the beds?!?!?! The main bed was spring based and you could feel almost everyone inc down the sides as you got in and out. Felt like the wooden frame of the bed!!! Unfortunately the children’s pullout bed was no better. Although the memory mattress was ok the bar in the middle was broken/bent so they rolled together the whole time! After laying there aimlessly for hours my wife went to reception where the ever accommodating staff issued us with another room however although without said taps and water heater the Heating was still beyond loud and the main bed was again like a cobbled street!!! We ended up in 2 rooms for just 3 hours sleep (loose term) sharing the small beds with our children. As someone that uses budget hotels approximately once a month over many years this has shot to the top as the worse one ever!!!!!
We stayed here for one night while attending a function in Stansted Mountfitchet. It was a pleasant stay...nice, clean room with good, clean facilities. Staff pleasant and helpful. The food available at the breakfast bar was good with plenty of variety. The only complaint I can muster is that there was only one pillow on each side of the double bed, which I found quite uncomfortable. There was also a strange rumbling noise emanating from the celing in the middle of the night. These are minor complaints however. All in all it is a good place to stay.
The Ramada Stansted Airport hotel is located in a service area just off the M11 motorway, only a mile or two from Stansted Airport. I stayed one night prior to departing for the airport. I found the room to be quiet and clean, and sufficient for a one night stay. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and Claire at Reception was really efficient and helpful regarding check-in and check-out. This was a comfortable budget level hotel, and I would happily stay again for an airport trip.
I stay at this hotel for the night of the 25th Nov 2017 as they also provide the parking, The hotel is fine but after 1 week I received a Parking Charge Notice for £60. I make aware the Hotel and sent couple emails without a writing confirmation from the Hotel that the penalty has been erase. 3 Calls today but no answers from the Hotel, I really don't want to wait and find out that the penalty has increase by £100 My reservation number as below. 1972373797 I would like some one from the Hotel to contact me about this ASAP before I will take further actions.
Me and my partner stayed here before are flight at Stanstead. Amazing value. Great location. We found it clean and fairly modern inside. Free parking was an added bonus. Greated by some very friendly reception staff. Will be staying again.
My daughter and I stayed there a few nights last month. We were there to visit a friend of hers before moving on to London for a few. From the moment we arrived Simon Went, the manager, and his colleagues (Claire and Stephanie among others), were totally committed to making us feel at home. We needed help working out some details of our London stay, and they helped in a profession and friendly manner. As a result we had a. memorable trip. The hotel was more than satisfactory in every way, complete with a Service Break facility next door which allowed us to defray food costs while eating well. The location is convenient for side trips to Cambridge, audley end, etc on the train We also enjoyed walking into town which gave us a taste of English life. Thank you Simon and staff for treating us like friends and helping to make our London excursion one we will always cherish! Until next time.....Cheers
