Turtle Bay Lodge

The staff at Turtle Bay Lodge go above and beyond to make your stay the best it can be - from arranging activities, to accommodating requests (e.g. short notice babysitting or dietary requirements). The property is extremely family friendly (we travelled with a 3yr and 20mth old) and is absolutely picturesque. The natural surroundings allow you to do as much or as little as you want - there is enough to do at the lodge if you want a quiet holiday exploring the surrounding reef and beach front or a range of activities across Santo island if you want to be adventurous. This destination comes highly recommended and would cater to a range of tastes.

We live in Santo but visited for lunch in order to check out the location as potential accommodation for a number of guests that will be coming for business regularly over the next year. The lunch was good for the price and the location was good however, we unfortunately had a bad experience with the female manager who was very rude to us. A shame as all other staff were very welcoming. We will now be directing our business elsewhere.

We came up for dinner one evening as we were staying at Hidden Cove and enjoyed the Sri Lankan beef curry. The owners and staff are very friendly. For dinner it was around $75 for 2 of us including drinks and coffee.

This is a beautiful, tranquil spot easily reached from Luganville by hire car, taxi, B (van) or PT (flat deck pick up) in 20 minutes on the best road in Vanuatu. With only 12 rooms it is quiet but friendly and Skye and Dianne offer great travel tips and can do all your bookings. They are also very flexible with check-in and check-out times to fit with flights. We snorkeled, kayaked, swam in the pool, ate great restaurant food and chilled out. The rooms are spacious with gorgeous views and sleeping to the roar of the ocean is magic. Everything is clean, comfortable and mosquito-proofed. There is plenty of hot water, a kitchenette for self-catering, a laundry service and internet,(but it's unreliable). We hired one of their cars for a day and were able to visit all the best spots on the eastern coast of Santo. We totally recommend Turtle Bay for couples, friends and families.Make sure you have cash as there are no banks or internet facilities north of here.

The room was comfortable and spacious. the kitchenette had all you needed to cook your own meals. there was tea and coffee making facility and replenished each day. beach towels and snorkeling gear was available. The hire car made getting around to other spots easy but you need to book it. The staff were friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble for them and managers Sky and Dianne. Awonderful location not to be missed and fully recommended.

My partner and little one stayed at the lodge mid July and we enjoyed it very much. Shut,e from the airport arranged, room ready even at 9 am, nice gardens, pool and bar area. The bonfire at night was a plus! Unfortunately for us tropicalisés people, the weather was a bit cold and we shortened our stay at the last minute but the owners were great about it and helped getting to the airport. We will be back in the summer and with the whole family as we want to explore this beautiful island.

We stayed for a week here, had amazing meals every night, slept to the sound of the waves every night. Skye and Dianne made sure we had a great trip, nothing was to much trouble. The staff extremely were helpful. We as a family of five needed to bring more cash with us, easily fixed by going back into town but all tour operators take only cash. Kyaking to the blue hole from here was an enjoyable trip.

I've been a traveller for 21 years and I have never so far encounteted such amazing hospitality. I really recommend this place. Just the right place to enjoy and relax by the beautiful beach. Skye and Diane's level of friendliness and helpfullness was beyond expected. They were really trying to be as accommodating as possible without spot of bother from their side. Once I come back to Vanuatu, I will definitely return here :) Tommy

My children and I spent 3 nights here but would happily have stayed much longer. Our room, which looked straight out onto the bay, was spotlessly clean and well looked after. You sleep to the sound of the waves on the shore! We also really enjoyed the patio area at the entrance to our room, where we relaxed and played games (which were available from the lobby area to use). The pool area was great, the kids loved it (12 & 14) and the gardens and outdoor areas are really beautifully done. Skye and Dianne are incredible hosts and go out of their way to help and provide information and organise activities to suit. We also hired a car from the lodge which was a fantastic way to explore the island. It's easy driving and Skye gave us loads of tips and info on places to visit. The basic brekkie provided as part of our package was enjoyable and filling. The meals were delicious from the restaurant. The staff and service was always friendly, warm and helpful. The bay is lovely to swim in. Bring your reef shoes! Great experience here all round.

Thanks to Skye and Dianne for giving us a wonderful holiday at their lodge. Dianne went out of her way to ensure we had delicious vegan meals to enjoy and Skye had plenty of advise for activities in the area. All staff were so friendly it was an absolute pleasure to stay. The meals were delicious and reasonably priced. Let Dianne know if you have any dietary requirements before you arrive so she can source food for you.
