Very simple and nice hotel with rich breakfast. Very good location. Just outside is s bahn station. Very easy to get to different destinations. The hotel is perfect for visiting Therme Erding. Next time i would return there once again.
The hotel is located in a remote area, though there is a little grocery shop across the street. It seems clean and simple, beds and washing room. The beds were simple but comfortable enough. The room was nice and warm (outside temp was -13c) The breakfast was simple and satisfying (in European standards...) I arrived by car and had parking right next to the hotel. The train ran just outside our room but it was surprisingly quiet and didn't bother me.
Location: Never has the words middle of nowhere described a place that would describe this hotel. Price: They should be paying you to stay here Rooms: I have watched programmes on TV where the prison cells looked more comfortable Beds: Covers which are so old they would be able to relate to my grandparents. Free WiFi Eh no the first few hundred MB are free then €7 per day - its more like dial up, actually dial up was faster.
It's relative far from the airport you have to pay 30 euro taxi to get there. There's no elevator, so I have to carry a big bag alone... Even if I asked a better options in the first floor they said no and the staff didn't want to help me. The rooms are awful and the carpets are very dirty.... Terrible!!!
My family and I just got back from staying at the hotel from September 15 to September 18. Everything sounded and looked exactly as we wished for to stay at a hotel. My booking was for 3 persons as we have a teenage daughter and wanted a room/s for 3 people. The hotel says it has it all, flat screen TV, yes to that, reasonable, well maybe because I thought I had already paid for everything when I booked as my request for 3 guests initially, but was told at check in that we will require an extra bed which would cost extra €30 per night. Had no choice but to pay as we had already paid for the room so we thought. The other main reason when we book a hotel in our travels, is that we look for one that offers FREE WiFi. This one had it, really? Not until my daughter, myself and my wife were checking in and being given access to the 'WiFi'. I had my laptop with me as I was doing some work whilst my daughter and wife were out. After the first day we couldn't log in or connect into the internet and received a message saying we have no more access to the internet because we have used the free 600 megabytes and if we wanted to continue using the internet we have to choose the duration we wanted as from now on it was €7 per day. Where did it say that? And 600 MEGABYTES? The staff couldn't answer obviously. Anyway if you remember I said my daughter and her phone, my wife and myself with our phones are all now connected because I had to pay for the rest of our stay. When it was quiet, I turned on my laptop to start working and couldn't connect to the internet something I thought was sorted because I've paid for the extended excess, unlimited this time so I thought. I got message saying that I couldn't connect because I already have 3 devices using the internet. I have to be polite otherwise my review would not be read but you can imagine my disgust and horror and can only say OMG! What a rip off. And then nowhere does it say that the hotel is right next to a train line where train crosses every 30-45 minutes until late at night. I do not blame the staff here as they are just employees and only do as they are told. They are very friendly and provide great service, but a shame to the owners.
We arrived there through a travel agent mishap who was tasked with finding us an airport hotel. While the hotel is only 15 miles from Munich airport as the crow flies, taxi and public transportation unfortunately aren't crows. It took us Euro 50 in cab fares and a long ride through fields and forests to get there. As we arrived the cab driver remarked: "this place doesn't look very nice, are you sure you are here..." To get to the airport by public transportation would take in excess of 90 minutes by the way. Everyone working at the hotel was super nice. But, that didn't help us when we couldn't sleep in rooms without air condition where we had to open our windows to a very busy street (or in the case of our kids' room, they were directly adjacent to the S-Bahn train station). The reason we had two rooms was because their idea of a family suite was to roll in two additional beds into an already small room, so we ended up getting two rooms. We should have known that something was wrong with this place due to the low price, but I still find it hard to believe that a place that calls itself an international hotel chain does not believe in A/C. Anyway, we changed to the Novotel at Munich Airport (only a Euro 50 cab ride away) the next morning and it was everything we wished for and cost only a few extra euro per night. Silver lining in the cloud was that we had dinner in the down home Bavarian restaurant across the street due to this mishap and that place was excellent. And as an extra bonus, the guest in the room adjoining ours smoked so much pot on his balcony that I got a contact high.
We booked this hotel because of its convenient location. We were not disappointed. Easy to find and great location to the Therme and Munich and of course the airport. Very friendly welcome and hassle free check in to a huge family room. Yes it is between road and train track and yes during the day it can get a bit louder, but nothing really disturbing. This is not a place to stay in the room all day most guests would be out. We found the place to be very quiet at night and were not at all disturbed. The Breakfast was correct and good especially for the price and noteworthy is that the coffee is actually very nice from a coffee machine that you can select the type yourself. The dress code of the breakfast employee criticised in an earlier review. OMG get a life. This is a budget hotel and the jogging pants turns out to be a loose fitting black pants. All in all a great value proposition and a clean room and we can only but recommend this Hotel and we shall be back.
My friend and I stayed at this hotel for two nights because we got a great deal for a package together with the thermal springs spa (not directly via the hotel itself but through a travel agency). The rooms are nice and clean, the breakfast buffet offers everything you need and the staff is super friendly and helpful. I'd definitely stay here again!
We chose this hotel after going to Therme Erding—for us it was the only really affordable option in the area. We knew it was a budget hotel; we felt it was quite decent for the price. We'd be fine coming back if we go to Therme Erding again and needed an overnight stay. Parking: When we used the hotel, it seemed the underground garage parking was 5 euro/night, not 11 euro (not sure if they changed it recently?), which seemed reasonable for us, but your mileage may vary. We just opted for the free above ground parking lot. Wi-Fi: It was free for use. While a bit slow and we wouldn’t recommend using it to stream videos or anything, it was more than serviceable for emails and Googling. There was also a desktop computer in front of the lobby other guests were using. Not sure if that’s free to use, but people seemed to be making good use of it! Room: We got a room facing the road and not the railroad tracks. Based on other reviews, that may have saved us from noise issues—if you're worried about noise, maybe ask for a room on the road side. We got a fine night’s rest. The room came with a small complimentary bottle of still mineral water—great! There were some minor flaws with the room, like a crack in an outlet and some scuff marks on the walls, but the bathroom was quite clean and we had no issues with the bed. The shower did take a while to warm up in the morning, but it eventually warmed up to the desired temperature and stayed that way, so it wasn’t a dealbreaker for us by any means. We thought the room met our expectations just fine given the price. We read in at least one review that someone developed itchy skin while sleeping at AZIMUT after Therme Erding, but we think that may be due to the sauna and not the bed, since prolonged sauna use can dry out the skin and we are often itchy after going to the sauna. At any event, we didn’t have issues with our bed. Breakfast: The 10 euro breakfast they provide is a very decent spread. Cornflakes/cereal, various rolls, sliced bread, fresh pretzels, cake, mini croissants, an array of deli meats, eggs, yogurt, different kinds of fruit juice, tea, good quality coffee—we were pleasantly surprised. There was also as mini hotel newsletter written in German on each table, which seemed chock full of useful information and a nice smattering of good entertainment like jokes and saying of the day. Staff: The hotel staff was pleasant enough to us! The breakfast staff was particularly cheerful and welcoming. We have no complaints there. Tip: Zum Linderwirt, right across the street from the hotel, is a great local restaurant if you just want to zip there and back after a long day and don’t want to go too far.
The day before I was scheduled to arrive in the hotel I had to cancel my reservation because my car broke and it was impossible for me to reach the destination. The reservation was made just 18 hours before the actual cancellation. I don't know how many requests the hotel received for the room in the meanwhile, but they decided to charge me for 80% of the amount anyway. I called the reception asking for an explanation. The answer was that the amount to pay was reported in the contract. It actually was. I asked to talk with the manager. She was on vacation. The receptionist told me to call the next monday to find her. When I called the new receptionist told that the manager decided to charge me for the full amount and that there was nothing to do. I didn't had the chance to talk with the manager to find an alternative solution. I decided to complain to the main office of Azimut, I didn't receive any answer at all. As I said I felt like I suffered a robbery. I couldn't talk with nobody with the power to decide. I only talk to the receptionists. The worse client service ever.
