Pool closed because of covid. People were nice
I liked the proximity to my destination, the quiet and its proximity to restaurants. I didn't like that one of the staff was mildly surly.
Ok
Thank you for the early check in! I picked your location for a simple reason
Good service; good price; good facilities and friends
With The Garden Inn you get what you pay for, it’s cheap but also very run down. The door lock in our room was broken, there were dirty towels left over from past guests, and the blankets had holes in them. Knowing all that, the hotel was fine given we only needed it for a quick night after a show at Notre Dame Stadium.
A affordable price to stay for one night. Nothing fancy but good enough !
The hot tub wasn't working which really sucked, we only had 2 towels in a queen room and they tried charging us for more towels. Hairs all in the bathtub. It wasn't the best but it was okay for the price.
Very comfortable and nice, I will book again next time in Elkhart.
The room itself wasn't bad, but there was very little bedding (only two small and thin pillows), and the hallway Windows were left open on a 95 degree day with high humidity. It was very hot until you left the air on high for a few hours. Everything was visibly clean and well kept and stocked. The microwave and fridge worked well and the shower head was actually pretty nice compared to other places I've seen before. My biggest complaint would be how thin the walls are. I mean, you kind of expect thin walls in a hotel but I could hear my neighbors conversations when they were just speaking at a normal level, let alone when a woman decided to threaten someone in the hallway outside of our room. It sounded like they were arguing next to me, in hopes of being my best alarm clock. Other than those things the room was spacious, clean, bright, and overall a nice place to stay. I'd go there again if I need a lower budget (but reputable) place to stay.
I took my family for a weekend trip to enjoy the pool and hot tub. The hot tub wasn't cold, but definitely not hot and plaster was chipping from the sides of both thevpool and the hot tub. Thankfully we brought out own towels, since the hotel charges 5 dollars to use a towel, 3.50 of which you get back when it is returned. The furniture in the room was scratched and a chair was even ripped. Even the leather on the couch in the lobby was worn and ripped apart. The biggest disappointment for me, however, was the fact that the pool wasn't open until 10 a.m. and checkout was at 11. On a good note the room did have a fridge and microwave. The staff was nice enough, despite 5 of them watching my daughter and I walk to the pool at 8 a.m. wearing bathing suits, floaties, beach ball, etc and not saying a word until our return trip which they commented. "Back already? Pool doesn't open until 10."
