Orbitz didn’t inform me that the W in Austin was undergoing major renovation so no big lobby, no bar, rather a side entrance and a temporary front/desk lobby area (nice). I got charged 14.95 for wifi without even understanding/knowing that was happening and now they are refunding me, but I had to contact them and all. The personnel was extremely kind and helpful, the room was a good room on a high floor in the corner, nice, not cheap.

Perfect location! Restaurants and bars are located on walks distances from the hotel. Friendly and helpful staff. Rooms are spacious, gym is accessible on 4th floor. Pool can get crowded during weekends.

Look like somewhat of a slow weekend, Easter weekend, cloud cover. Staff was incredible as usual just flat out good hospitality friendly answered questions. One disappointment was not a heated pool, that could’ve been a seasonal thing, I definitely like a good local craft draft beer, was disappointed there was not any draft beer at the bar. The gym was flat out incredible, one of the largest ones I’ve stayed at. Stayed at “the line“ two weeks ago and the Fairmont last weekend, as I am in Austin generally a couple of times a a month. I’ll certainly be back to the W always a good experience.

Nice property. Bed sheets were itchy and the couch in the room was dirty looking. Definitely expected more from a W Hotel

The staff. Hands down, the staff was the best part of this property. Everyone was super polite, friendly and helpful. They’ve got a good team! Oh, the hotel was nice too!

The location is great and the staff is very friendly.

Convenient location downtown. Nice staff! Valet drivers are polite. Rooms are decent size. Bliss bath products are amazing.

Trendy hotel in the heart of downtown Austin. Rooms were extremely small and the shower/bath was 2 feet tall that made it hard to get in and out of.

We stayed 4 nights and thoroughly enjoyed the hotel. The proximity to great restaurants, bars and the beautiful Lady Bird trail made this is a perfect choice for our first trip to Austin. The rooms are modern and quirky... we got one with a fantastic view of the city. The Bar at the hotel was really fun too.

Great overnight stay if you're willing to pony up the money for this pricey hotel!

Expensive hotel with small rooms and no real lobby. Build quality is less than what one should expect at this price point. The rooms and bathrooms are not particularly well appointed, especially given that it is a relatively new, "luxury" hotel. No real lobby to speak of; more a series of bar areas, which could have been cool but were frequented by local, low rent types listening to the rap/hip hop being played. Service was very good, and employees were exceedingly polite. I stay at a lot of expensive hotels and I would have to say that I was overall, somewhat disappointed.

Like many W hotels this one had the atmosphere of a discotheque. That meant a dark, dingy, faux chic lobby and also you could hear loud music in the room coming from downstairs till past 1am on a WEDNESDAY night. But that wasn't the worst part. The room cleaning job the morning after my first night was completely unacceptable: sheets were not changed; glassware in bathroom was not washed or changed but was left in exactly the same state as I had left it in the morning; empty bottles strewn about the floor; furniture moved around (not by me) and not replaced; ironing board left wedged in closet door that was left ajar. The worst was a mystery wad of tissue (not mine) left on the bathroom counter. Oh and they don't call them cleaning maids; they're called "artists." Less art, more substance please. I complained to the management and they did offer some small goodwill gesture but this is just not what anyone should have to expect who is paying W prices. Atrocious.

Gracious, friendly, and enthusiastic staff made our visit a pleasure. Our penthouse room did have a good view, but was lacking in certain features such as there were no dresser drawers. The television was smaller than is typical for a hotel of this quality, and it was placed on the limited shelf / table space rather than on the wall. Considering the lack of drawers, the table space would have been useful. Bathroom had a shower only; no bathtub. The toilet was in a separate room however the shower and sink area had no door therefore if one was entertaining guests, it was challenging for to have any privacy while freshening up or showering.

Great. I would stay at this Hotel in Austin again. I'm loyal to W hotels.

Bathroom vanities could be larger. Shower could be better.

we went for our freinds wedding. Great hotel. Perfect attention to details. Only thing was the resturant was good not amazing and nothing is really healthy. That being said the gym is SICK! its a full floor with everything not some 2 machine hotel gym. 5 stars for sure.

Excellent, courteous staff with astonishing accoutrements!

My husband and I chose to splurge on a few nights at the W Austin to celebrate our one year wedding anniversary. This hotel was absolutely beautiful and very close to our weekend destination. We had a great late night meal from Trace and enjoyed our balcony overlooking the city and hotel pool. Our room was extremely nice and very modern. The only downside was that we got charged for every little thing, including very expensive parking. However, overall-the stay was wonderful and the staff was fantastic and friendly!
