Located in Effingham, La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Effingham is in a walkable area with good shopping. Effingham Performance Center and Mid America Motorworks, My Garage Museum are cultural highlights, and some of the area's activities can be experienced at TREC Calico Trail and Cardinal Golf Course. Cross at the Crossroads and Effingham County Fairgrounds are also worth visiting.
Bath tub was extremely slippery!! Nothing on the bottom of the tub to prevent slipping. Desperately needs something on the bottom of the tub to help keep balance. The only hand rail was at the far end of the tub. They need one along the back so it can help save old, fat ladies from slipping and falling in the tub - which is what I did! I'm going to have these bruises for a long time! We will probably not go to this La Quinta again.
We did not get the walk-in shower as requested. Front desk said error in AARP descriptions. No nite light in bathroom, and the bed was a bit too soft.
Loved how pet and family friendly it is while still being clean and comfortable.
