Upon arrival I looked at the room before putting anything in it. I found bed bugs in the room on the mattress. As i told staff they came to look and verified there were bedbugs. They apologized and agreed to cooperate with expedia to reimbursed my money. I called expedia and told them the situation. They placed me on hold to contact econolodge. The lady working at econolodge said she never recieved a phone call but I was told by the lady from Expedia that they answered and was told a manager had to approve my refund. The next day I recieved an email saying that my refund request was denied due to Econolodge policy. I couldnt imagine how any hotel policy would expect to keep money for a room I never stayed in because they have bedbugs. I do not believe that anyone should be expected to stay in a hotel with bedbugs, or they're out over $100! I was told by expedia that if i stayed they could give me a $25 credit. Sorry but a bedbug infestation isn't worth $25 to me! HORRIBLE experience all around between econolodge and expedia. NEVER AGAIN WILL I USE EXPEDIA OR ATTEMPT TO STAY IN AN ECONOLODGE.
