2 nights in Edinburgh. Very central location. Not on the Royal Mile, but not far. comfortable room.

We stayed here for four nights in April. The hotel is located on Leith Street, just a short walk from Prince's Street, and Waverly Station. The staff at reception, and in the restaurant, are extremely friendly and helpful.

Stayed three nights. Room was clean and comfortable. Full breakfast and wifi included. Very close to Waverly train station and Waverly bridge where most tours start. Close to many shopping malls and interesting streets with shops and restaurants. Edinburgh Castle, Holyrood Palace, and the Royal Mile are all within walking distance (less than a mile).

The staff was very kind and helpful. I had a health problem and they directed me to the best resource for me. We felt safe and so comfortable there.

The hotel is a part of the St. James shopping center which has a post and pound store among other shops and cafes. Very close to Princes Street to include Princes Mall and Waverly Station. Close to bus stops to include one right by the hotel entrance. Within walking distance to the Royal mile and Calton Hill. Perfect location great tasty buffet breakfast for 10 pounds. We were hardly in the room but to sleep and unwind from a full day of sightseeing. Close to the Playhouse theatre which is a pick up location for Grayline tours. Staff very friendly and helpful! Will stay here again next I am in Edinburgh!

Hotel had a nice view, was clean, located right above a mall and in walking distance to many of the best tourist attractions of Edinburgh. They even held onto our bags for free on our last day after checking out so we didn't have to carry them around all day or pay for lockers. Good deal too for the area. Can't really complain, except that the cleaning lady didn't properly shut the door all the way. The door required a little force to close completely from the outside.

Excellent hotel and great location, very close to everything.

We will definitely will stay at this hotel when we visit EDINBURGH

Right across the street from Waverly rail station; attached to St. James mall made shopping easy. Convenient to Visitor Center for tours.

No nonsense, straight forward hotel and service. Great location.

The Hotel is in a very nice location, able to walk to hop-on/off buses that meet at Waverly bridge that is about a 10min walk. There is a local bus route right outside the hotel. We came in early March and the weather was sunny with no rain at all. Just dress warmly since you will get warm with all the walking anyway! The Hotel is connected to a shopping center "John Lewis" and has a sky-bridge that goes to the movie theater which also contains various restaurants (Pizza Hut!). Our room had two twin size beds pushed apart when we ordered a queen. We did not bother to ask for a different room from a long days travel and just wanted to sleep. The room itself was average, the bathroom was small. There is a hairdryer, ironing board, coffee/tea maker, T.V, AC/Heat available. We did utilize room service one day and it was speedy (about 20 minutes). There is a restaurant on the ground floor which also serves breakfast which was not the best for 15 B.P per person. It was actually more affordable to go to the Starbucks across the street! What made this place is defiantly the staff. Every single one of them were very nice and helpful.

The hotel is conveniently located. Walking distance from bus to airport, restaurants, and popular attractions. The walls of the rooms are paper thin, however. I heard every conversation and movement of other guests in the hall.

Average chain hotel. Good location though, right in the heart of the city, easily walkable to all sights, restaurants, entertainment, etc.

Great Location (between new town & arthur seat, & only about a block & a half from old town)!!! Room was clean & pretty decent size (I have stayed in much smaller rooms all over Europe). Bathroom was average size for Europe standards. Safe, blow dryer, iron & ironing board located in room. I was shocked to see the elevators could fit more than one person & a bag. Room Service food was less than average but at least edible especially at 1am. Breakfast at the hotel restaurant was less than average. Convenient entrance to mall on the 3rd floor. Overall pretty good for price.

Hotel in excellent location -we walked to everything. Room was clean and comfortable.

The location was very good but I didn't find the staff very friendly or helpful. The concierge didn't know where any of the restaurants were located. The shower dripped loudly and wouldn't turn off. There was no alarm clock, not enough towels or pillows.

Staff not giving clear directions, so got lost trying to find the Royal Mile. No A/C in the rooms and they replaced the fan on our last day but the temperature wasn't too bad. The front desk staff were really not that helpful. We asked for suggestions to eat and they told us the hotel restaurant (???)

A short walk from the Royal Mile, shopping and the rail station. Make sure you try the breakfast. A great place to stay.

Lovely high end hotel a block or so from the central train station so in excellent location to walk to many of Edinburgh's attractions. WiFi access costs about 5 pounds an hour if you want that. Clean room. Helpful reception desk staff. Can't think of anything I'd want improved. It is on a busy city street. But that noise didn't bother me at all--it wasn't bad.

This is a No-Smoking property. The hotel info did not state this and allowed us to request a smoking room. The location is excellent being directly attached to a large shopping center and within walking distance to Princes Street and Waverly Station.
