The apartment is in a great location. It had everything necessary for a good stay. The only negative is the stairs to access it. I feel it would be only fair to warn people (especially older folks) that it's quite a climb.
Our 4 bedroom, 3 bathroom apartment was excellent for our purposes. It came fully equipped with everything you needed if you wanted to cook during your stay. Very comfortable living area and supplying us with toiletries and tea/coffee/sugar/milk was unexpected but a big plus. We would definitely stay again if back in Edinburgh and would highly recommend
The apartment was as advertised. It was clean, very well-situated and equipped with everything necessary. I was traveling alone, but four people can easily stay there (one double bed and two singles). When I arrived the heating was not working, but one phone call to a very friendly and concerned staff member sufficed and 15 minutes later someone had arrived to set things right. I was very appreciative of this prompt service.
We had a two bedroom apartment. Well equipped and very clean. Central location on the heart of the Royal Mile. A lot of steps to apartment so not ideal for everyone, but the view to Princes Street was amazing
We had a night away and booked an apartment through booking.com we were unsure what to expect, the photos looked good but we were not sure which apartment we would be allocated. We were given a rooftop apartment on the Royal Mile. Reception/Check in was great really well organised, very welcoming. We climbed the 92 concrete winding steps to our apartment, reception staff carried our luggage which was greatly appreciated as you need to be mentally prepared for a climb like this. The apartment was spotlessly clean, with a modern kitchen and bathroom and amazing views. The water pressure for somewhere so high up was fantastic. The apartment had a bath and a shower. Shower gel, hand soap and washing up liquid are provided, along with tea, coffee, sugar and milk. The bed was big and comfortable and the bed linen fresh and white. A camp bed was provided for our son although I ended up sleeping in it. I would highly recommend these apartments for short breaks although the steps to the very top apartments are not for the feint hearted so be sure to advise reception of any mobility/fitness issues, heart conditions or general poor fitness before arrival. Lovely weekend thank you, we will be back soon.
Great little apartment room fully equipped with amenities,. Walking distance to almost all attractions. Staff were helpful and assisted immediately to solve problems. Did not test out the cooking equipment as we were eating out all the time. Stronger shower pressure would be ideal. Placement or availability of anti slip mat in the bathtub would be most welcome coz I am of age ;) We slept well in comfort. Surprisingly quiet as the place is facing a round about.
We have been coming here for just over three years and the apartments are lovely, the position within The Royal Mile is fantastic and the customer service is excellent. Communication from start to finish is ultra-professional and the staff cannot do enough to assist you. The top floor apartments are a slight climb which you get used to after your first trip up the staircase, however, the views are glorious and worth the effort. We would live here if we could...
To start id like to say the appartment and location was ok overall. Unfortunately the old sash windows were in disrepair and not refurbished and double glazed. We were on the top floor and had wind howling through all night. So bad i slept with a hat on! Combine that with the complete luck of soundproofing and we had no sleep. Wakimg every 20 minutes all night from 2.30am. I appreciate its acity Centre but we live and work in Manchester and have had better quieter stays because money has been spent on windows and soundproofing. Too often smaller companies look over this vital aspect of accomodation in favourite of aestheitcs. Guests need a good sleep. Wouldnt return solely due to the lack of sleep. A pity for the sake of 4 windows. There are plenty of options available for listed buildings. You can literally hear someone talking 6 floors down in the street. Spend a night in your own property. We slept for two hours as soon as we got home. Not good, relaxing or acceptable.
Myself and my husband have a yearly week away with our friends and prefer the freedom of self catering so found these apartments to be just what we needed in a city break. They are clean and well kept and have everything you need, even the little extras such as shampoo and body wash, 2 hairdryers and washing-up liquid and cleaning materials in the kitchen, which normally we have to provide ourselves when self catering. Checking in and out the staff were friendly and efficient. The location is central with a little general street and business noise but nothing to disturb you. As Edinburgh is very ‘hilly’ and the buildings are old and have many floors, take care to ask for the lower floor if you have mobility problems. We did and they accommodated us without any problems. Will definitely use again 😀
We visited and can report a faultless stay. From when we arrived to leaving. We were made very welcome. Booking was easy and the response fast. Apartment location gets a 5 STAR rating as you could not be any closer to The Mile. The entrance to the accommodation is old and dull, but listed so we didn't expect chandeliers and red carpets. We arrived to a warm, clean well furnished 2 bedroom apartment will self controlled heating. Everything we could possibly want was provided, even an early check in at 11am was welcomed. Can fault in anyway as we had a great time in a location that was perfect in the middle of it all
