My view, over-priced for an average hotel experience. The staff was only helpful if asked and, even then, not super helpful. My wife left a pair of shoes in the closet by mistake and we are still trying to track them down.

Needed a parking garage, you have one but it is a challange. There is no provision for unloading etc arriving in a car.

This is a really great hotel that is perfectly located on the Royal Mile almost exactly at the half-way point (and since it's also right next to Bridge Street, it's also very easy to get to New Town). All of the major sites are within relatively easy walking distance. Also there are plenty of restaurants nearby. Hotel staff is very welcoming, polite and friendly. The rooms are comfortable and the beds are extremely comfortable. A couple of other reviews mentioned that they could hear noise from the streets from their rooms, but we were on a high enough floor and facing away from the Royal Mile plus the windows were double insulated so we did not hear any street noise at all. Also, the breakfast buffet is really excellent with a wide choice of breakfast items and always restocked well before a particular "plate" is empty so you never have to wait. I am sure that there are other excellent hotels in Edinburgh - and even on the Royal Mile - but I would not hesitate recommending this hotel to anyone!

Beautiful hotel and a friendly staff that were so kind

Incredible stay. Hotel staff were so helpful and accommodating. Highly recommend staying here when visiting Edinburgh.

Visiting the city and family, the hotel has a perfect location. I would use the Hotel again next time I visit

This hotel is perfect for a stay in old Edinburgh. The room is perfectly clean, breakfast plentiful and staff couldn't be more helpful. Located in the middle of the royal mile,....you can walk everywhere.loved it

Beautiful Hotel in a convenient location for shopping and touring the city.

Great location, right in the center of the Royal Mile with lots of shops and places to at. Pretty rooms and big especially for europe, big breakfast buffet in large and attractive dining area. Welcome treats in your room upon arrival. Great bed & you can choose your comforter/pillows from down, hypoallergenic and more! Modern amenities, 24 hour room service etc. Looks like it was recently renovated. Staff is nice, though a little lacking but I was there during the festivals in August so unusually busy. Only downside was the main floor, unattractive white tile floor which looks more fit for a beach hotel than a castle type hotel. The bar was aslo very lackluster, white tile again, modern bar, the furnishings looked very hotel generic (this is a radisson afterall) rather than cool hip modern. The lounge area in back was a little better but still drab. Not much of a lobby, just 3 counters and 2 chairs. The lobby and whole first floor is a very bland and cheap looking first impression for what is otherwise a very nice hotel, espcially considering the price of the hotel! Other hotels nearby have great lobbies and cute bars that you want to hang out in, and fit in more with the 'look' the charm of local area, this did not. Even the budget chain Motel One had a much more attractive and nicely decorated lobby than the 4 star radisson blu.

Excellent service. Staff was outstanding! We will book more Radisson Blu hotels in the future based on our experience here.

You couldn't get any closer to the center of things here. The hotel is right in the middle of the Royal Mile. It is only about a two block walk to Waverley train station. The room was clean. There was plenty of space for suitcases and sitting. The included breakfast was nice. They had a steam table with some hot foods like eggs, bacon, potato scones, haggis, etc. The had the usual assortment of fruit, salami, cheese and breads too. Good value for the money.

The drawback to the Edinburgh Radisson Blu was that the room's carpet had multiple ripples (i.e., needed to be re-stretched) and there was a large (6" - 8" diameter) dark spot on the carpet between the bed and and the desk. When I reported these problems in writing, the desk clerk apologized, but noted these were recurring issues (at least with this room). Accordingly the carpet problems reduced the overall rating of the hotel.

The hotel location was perfect. Right on Royal Mile we were able to reach the Edinburgh Castle and Holyrood Park with ease. From the moment we arrived until we left the staff was top notch. Extremely helpful and informative. I would recommend staying here.

Very helpful staff and excellent location for sites, shopping and catching trains. Safe too. Room decorated nicely but not very clean. Hallways on my floor were dirty.

Fantastic location, helpful staff. Wonderful trip. Simply can't beat the location.

Wonderful 4-day stay, the hotel is right in the middle of the Royal Mile so all Edinburgh attractions are within walking distance.

We were in Edinburgh for a family party and my nephew recommended the Radisson. It was the perfect central location. It looks and feels like a renovated traditional building, but an architect friend told me it isn't. The room was moderate sized, everything worked, the staff was friendly and helpful, the bar was comfortable and we enjoyed the spa. The best hotel we stayed in on a four-hotel trip. We'll be back.

This hotel is in a great location, right on the Royal Mile and close to the castle. The rooms were fine, nothing really special or luxurious. The staff was extremely helpful and accommodating though.

LOVED the Radisson Blu! First time in Edinburgh and after an extremely long trip we arrived exhausted in the early morning. They had our room ready by late morning and their warm friendly welcome was awesome. Probably my most favorite hotel stay ever.

We arrived from an overnight flight, tired, sore, and dragging bags. The Radisson is an easy walk from the Airlink terminal, if a bit uphill. We were able to check in early, shower, nap, and still walk to Edinburgh Castle well before closing time. This hotel is very centrally located, has a beautiful exterior, spacious rooms, and nice amenities (coffee/tea service with a surprise or two, nice tub/shower combination, lovely shampoo, etc). We could open the window in our room, to see Arthur's Seat and hear the gulls cry. The staff are very attentive, and willing to explain almost anything. I think the hotel is a very lovely place to stay. Regrettably, I can't afford to stay here more often.

Thank you for your review. Although the front of the hotel is a taxi rank, you are able to unload and pick up from there. We encourage our guests to do this if that is what they prefer. We hope to welcome you back to Edinburgh again soon. Many thanks, Devon
