Stayed here for 2 nights for stag do in Edinburgh, location was outside of city centre, 20 mins to centre, quite far in a cab from airport, take the bus it's a lot cheaper! Apartments were ok as there was at least 5 in a room someone had to have the put u up bed in lounge, no soap supplied in bathroom, a bit noisey in the early hrs due to a lot of drunkards! Couple of Windows in apartments were broken, one we couldn't shut in bedroom and I never couldn't open in kitchen, bread and milk and jam was supplied though which was nice! On the whole not a bad place to stay , i would recommend
I stayed here with 16 other girls. Lochend apartments were perfect for what we needed. Apartments were big enough so we weren't under each others feet. We were quite noisy before we headed out but no issue and we were left to enjoy ourselves! Couldn't have been any better... only a short taxi ride to the city centre too!
Having booked a while ago & then read some bad reviews I was a bit worried! Needn’t have been it was all fine & great our group had apartments opposite each other. Ok so not the most luxurious but wouldn’t expect it at the price. It was comfy & clean. Quiet too! Even had some breakfast stuff which wouldn’t expect! We would book again! They also phoned a couple of days before to check all ok & our arrival time.
We were seeking a rental where Bill could smoke, and Lochend filled the bill! For a very reasonable rate we had two bedrooms, two baths, a living room, and kitchen. Everything was clean and modern, and we were provided with coffee, tea, cornflakes, oatmeal, and condiments. The only negatives were an outlet that fried two of our power sources, and distance from most good restaurants, other than a fish and chips place. But we soon figured out Bus 34, which stops right outside and goes to the port and downtown Edinburgh.
AVOID!!! Cancelled on us last minute, charged me the full amount and still have not provided a refund. We drove 600 miles to be told 5 mins before arrival they were overbooked (we prepaid them a week before arrival), no solution or support provided, staff walked away from me and left us at the reception, still charged the full amount and so far no refund provided!!!! No other hotels were available in Edinburgh, we had to stay 30 miles away because of these clowns. This is a dodgy business that should not be allowed to function, stay away from them. Escalated the issue to booking.com, no help from there as well. Do yourself a favour, stay away from this place. Wish I could give ZERO stars.
Stayed here for a stag do. Was three in our room. But there was only two single beds. Camp bed provided was very uncomfortable. Sofa not big enough to sleep on. Apartment was clean. Breakfast is provided in room. Note to management check the date on your products you provide. Check in and out was easu
Turned up at 21:30 after making a booking on booking.com. Initially, he moaned about being late saying we needed to be at reception by 10. Chap was unwilling to allow us to see room and wanted to charge £20 for the privilege. He then changed his mind and said it was 9. Appreciate he had a large crowd to sort out before us but there is no need to be so rude to your customers. Would not recommend.
The apartments were not that close to the City Centre as specified, quite a long walk. Attention to detail needs to be addressed with regards to the cleanliness of the apartment, but when we spoke to reception any issues were immediately sorted out, cannot fault their service. One main issue was we were on the ground floor right by reception and other guests were standing outside our bedroom window at 3.30 am smoking and talking loudly with their phones ringing, perhaps a notice should be put up to avoid this. Also the cleaners start early and they too are quite noisy. Free wifi didn't work and kept dropping out. As it was busy in Edinburgh the apartment was costly for the service we received.
Not value for money as what we paid in comparison with what we got at other places for 1/6th of the price. Needs refurbishing. Floors were sticky, fridge flooded, towels were smelly, bedding was old. Internet was sketchy. On a positive note, the place was Spacious and they supplied oats for breakfast.
Situated well for public transport such as train stations, bus etc. We didn't eat out every night and the shops were close by for amenities as well as eating out etc. The service was good. Mohammed couldn't have helped enough. We were put in the wrong room the first night and changed to our correct room. Staff were friendly and helpful. We arrived at the apartment after flying from Australia at around 8.00 am and were let in to sleep.
