The staff that I dealt with both before and during my stay were exceptional, a credit to Apex. Laura and Diana on Reception and Ashley and Stella in Reservations, girls you could not have been more helpful if you had tried. Thank you to Diana for arranging me a room with a bath, much needed after a really long shift at the RHS. The room was lovely and had everything that anyone could need. The bed was spotless and very comfortable. However, considering the money charged for the rooms my only issues would be the bathrooms having discoloured silicone and grout around the bath which is not nice to look at and the carpets in the bedroom are also a little tired and marked. But seriously this is me being picky, otherwise it was a great stay.

The hotel has private car parking which is very convenient for driving clients. The location is not in the center of city, however it will not take long for walking into city center. Enjoy the stay and will stay again next time.

Having stayed at Apex hotels before I knew the hotel would be of a great standard. The room had everything we needed and the beds were very comfortable. Staff were friendly and accommodating and breakfast was excellent. Food was cooked to order, so lovely and fresh with a great choice. We were able to check in early also which was a bonus.

Good location not too far from Haymarket train station, nice room but it was not an impressive view. This hotel is very close to bus stop or tram from the airport. However, be cautious before you put coin to buy a ticket. It should be only; 5.50 not 9.50, if you need only go to the airport. Breakfast is OK because they did not have enough vegetable to feed me.

our Room was excellent and we slept really well. Hotel has a good location in Haymarket and easy to find from tram and railway station. Good location for reaching the centre of Edinburgh but without the noise of being in the centre. I Would stay here again. I visit Edinburgh a few times each year I will be going back..

I recently went to this hotel as I was seeing the wedding singer at kings theatre. Lovely hotel room, with brilliant staff. The food was lovely in the restaurant too. I have tasted pasta in Italy and this was cooked just like I had over there! The only thing I had to say was that the covers and pillows were feather pillows, which I am allergic to, but I had antihistamines with me. Very comfortable though :)

The breakfast and hospitality were the best parts here. The reception area is deceptive, looks like a back door check-in, but it's the only place to check in or out.The rooms were good if you got one on the back side of the building, otherwise the rooms on the other side of the hall were stifling as there is no AC. Everything was clean and when there was an issue the staff were on it right away. The breakfast not only consists of a Full Scottish Buffet but you can also order items off the menu. Everything was top notch and delicious-by far one of the best hotel breakfasts I've had. The location is great as it is right by the train station, bus stop and taxi line-up.

Ideal hotel for brief stay. On bus route. Seemed to have business groups in for meetings. Meant that if they also used restaurant then there were long waits for food/service. Quite noisy in restaurant when it was busy.

This hotel is slightly off centre in Edinburgh, but well worth a visit. It is suggested that you book direct as this may result in discounted services. We found the hotel very well appointed in the rooms with most items you would require including bottled water, iron, ironing board, trouser press, hair dryer and cooling fan, all discreetly placed in cupboards. Large TV and free good WiFi, plenty of lighting options. Bathroom equipped with easy operation shower, shampoo and shower gel provided. We were on top floor, very quiet, lift provided. The hotel arranged the same room for us when we returned a week later. Rooms adequate size, and getting out of bath is a long step no handrails. Restaurant is located at front of hotel and has a good selection of well cooked and nicely presented food for breakfast lunch and dinner. Would recommend this hotel. Area around Haymarket has many places to eat and drink. If you use bus to go into Edinburgh ensure you have correct fare as no change is given. Walk to Princes Street takes 30 minutes approx.

Stayed for one night when attending a concert at murrayfield . Very easy to find just 2 mins walk from haymarket station, Tesco express and cafes just outside .check in was quick and easy and twin room v nice with a lovely bathroom . 20 mins walk to murrayfield so perfect after the concert you can also take a tram from outside station to murrayfield if you don't want to walk. Would stay here again if at murrayfield .
