Please keep your Hotel staff they very were excellent for cleaning, reception, restaurant and bar . We would all come back to Edinburgh .Taxi's, Buses, tram system. People are very friendly in Scotland and lots to do.
The location of the hotel is good as it is close to the main city of Kendal. It also has a great view of the river. The breakfast was delicious but it's the same every day which gets boring by third day. The bed in the double room is small for two, however they managed to change it to a room with king size.
One of the comfiest beds we slept in. The staff are superb especially Diana at the reception, warm smile and very helpful. Location although at the end of the market but it offers quiteness at night. Having a Tesco at 2 mins walk is a great plus. Lovely place we would come again
This hotel was very cosy and warm. The staff were excellent and very professional and capable in the hotel and the restaurant. The evening meal was tasty and the breakfast was very original which takes a bit of work. The rooms were small but immaculately kept.
Really enjoyed my stay here. It’s super close to the tram stop which takes you right into princess street where all the shops were. Only downside is if you drive the hotel only has about 8 spaces. 1 of them is disabled. The parking around the hotel is all permit holders only so you do really struggle to park! Other then that it was really nice, clean and comfortable!
The hotel is located in a good place, near enough to city center to walk in and on tram line if u prefer. 3 night stay Tues to Fri. Good size rooms nice and clean, the bed sheets feel great. What make's this Hotel is the staff, every single one we have come into contact with has been lovely. They are genuinely nice people that smile naturally and what to make ur stay as comfortable as they can. Only down side is had a wee bit of noisy fan in bathroom but could not hear when bathroom door closed. Would def come back.
Without doubt one of the favorite hotels I stayed during my time in Edinburgh ! The staff is extremely friendly, specially Slawek and he deserves a special thanks. Note, this is not a 4/5-star hotel or so, but the atmosphere is so special that it really felt like home to me. All respect for Slawek who does a great job here; a true sample of excellent hospitality!
I was attending the Edinburgh Yarn Festival and chose this hotel for its location to Waverley train station and the location of the festival. I also received a £10 voucher as I booked directly with the hotel. This was greatly appreciated and I used it for room service. I travelled on my own and found the whole experience fantastic. Friendly and helpful staff greeted me. The breakfast was lovely and I will definitely come again. Being close to buses and trams and local bars and restaurants is a bonus. The room was perfect. Thank you.
Everything great except the food, quality very good but very poor portion sizes for the money asked in the restaurant for evening meal. The breakfast consists of a continental buffet but the hot food is from a set menu which doesn't really allow for flexibility of choice. The service is very good
Within walking distance of princes street this is a great choice as it is very close to Haymarket train station. We stayed during Edinburgh yarn festival (at cornmarket exchange) and found the hotel excellent for venue and sightseeing.
