Serviceable, good location, affordable, helpful staff.

I have stayed at this motel a couple times during my visits to see my daughter at college. Friendly staff, quick check-in and check-out.

The staff overall handled our check-in and check-out with no problems. Both staff that my husband and I encountered were courteous. The 1st floor room we stayed in was quite clean overall--carpet vacuumed, no marks on counters, no stains/hairs in the bathroom, bed made very well (we had a king-sized bed). Of course, we could hear people walk around in the room above us, which is typical, but we couldn't hear ANY verbal noise. The room temperature adjuster worked just fine with different fan speeds, too. The bed was comfortable to us, but I know everyone's bed-comfort level is different (I can tell you that it was somewhat firm and definitely not saggy). The door to the bathroom is a little far in for the size of the bathroom, in my opinion, but that's how it was made--to fit 1 person (sink is outside of the bathroom). Shower water was soft and temperature adjustment worked just fine! One could also use it for a bath, since there was a drain adjustment switch, and the tub itself was long enough for taking a bath. Breakfast was decent--waffles, bagels, breads, orange juice, apple juice, danishes, 2 cereals, flavored yogurts, flavored oatmeal, hard-boiled eggs, and fruit. Just to note--there was a sign on the entry/exit door, saying that they were still doing renovations and something to the fact of accepting their apologies for it (something like this), but it didn't affect us. Overall, it was a good place to stay, and we stayed on a Saturday night to Sunday morning.

The front desk person was very friendly and helpful. The room was very spacious and clean.

You get what you pay for. Hotel needs refurbishing, breakfast is extremely limited. Fitness center was closed in the morning. Staff person at the front desk was very friendly.

Was there for business very old looking inside but very clean. And was the right price.

The room smelled. My sister in law saw a cockroach on the walls. The towels were all crusty AND on the last night we were there, we couldn't get in because our room key wasn't working. The front desk guy tried all the master keys and couldn't get in. He then contacted the manager and after about 30 minutes we were able to get into our room. We were out late too and were exhausted. The last thing we wanted to do was wait in their humid, breakfast room.

Under construction but it was alright for one night

We were pleased with the hotel. We stayed on a cold night and we're comfortable and service was good.

Great time, was a great value for the money, good breakfast, very peace full, warm rooms, bathrooms were small, parking lot was really full, breakfast was done by the time we woke up which was pretty lame, doesn't have pool or hot tub which is very ducky, would stay they're again because the price was good

This was a pretty positive experience. The only complaint that I have is the complimentary breakfast. It wasn't very well attended to, and the hotel ran out of things. There also wasn't much to it.

Passing through Eau Claire on the way to Grand Marais, this hotel served its purpose. the room was dated, but clean. pillows and bedding need to be replaced. (i usually wont stay at hotels with those old polyester bedspreads). Only one blanket in the room and it was too small for the bed, you pull it up to your neck and it would snap down to your waist. I didnt expect much from the free breakfast, and didnt get much either. Very small eating area too. oh, rooms still use keys, and door knobs were loose and need replacing too.

Cheap price. We got what we paid for. The room was not dirty

1 nite stay. Good but not great. Good location near campus. Old tube tv. No idea about breakfast. Very nice work out room but small.

Very clean and great value! Breakfast was minimal but got the job done for the price.

Good value for the need. No frills. Just a bed to crash on.

Clean, pet friendly, excellent value. The hotel was near the interstate and easy to get to.Close to campus.

Close to the university and a nice place to stay for the price

Checked in on a Wednesday afternoon and came back at midnight, left early Thursday morning. Didn't use weight room or pool. Breakfast was average. Location was good, close to interstate. Room was great, only thing to complain about was that there was no iron and ironing board. just a little outdated.

Thanks for the good comments. Sorry about the wifi issue. We had just fixed all access points with a new switch box as well.
