We had a very nice one night stay here. It is clean and quiet. The staff seems friendly and willing to help if needed. Although no elevator was not a problem for us, it might be a consideration for others. Nice pool and very large whirlpool. Great breakfast...waffles with a variety of toppings, scrambled and hard boiled eggs, sausage, cereal, biscuits and gravy, muffins, bagels and toast.
Back on Aug. 4th I reserved a room for my elderly mother. I booked it for the senior rate for the night of Aug. 16th. Upon our arrival we were informed there wasn't an elevator and the room would be up on the 2nd floor. My mother walks with a cane and it's really difficult and slow going for her to try to climb steps. We requested the young woman checking her in to please see if she had a room that would be a little more accessible for her. It was obvious the rude young woman didn't want to be bothered with trying to accommodate her. She had a real pissy attitude and said it was the only room available. The room was not only up on the 2nd floor but as far away from the front desk as possible!!!! I would think senior citizens should at least be booked in rooms they can access! Customer service really lacking!!!
The level of disappoint my husband and I experienced today is unfathomable! We came to AmericInn to stay for our first night of our honeymoon. I had called a week before our reservation to ask for an early check-in time. We arrived at 1:30pm and our room was not ready. I was okay with this because even though I called and asked to check in early, I understand sometimes it just can't happen My husband and I went on with our day and arrived later at 5pm (2 hours after check-in time) to check into our room. This should have been plenty of time to get our room ready, but this did not happen. We came to find out that they had given another gentleman our room by accident. Better yet, they didn't have any rooms for us. Wonderful! I will NEVER be back to stay at this hotel and will not hesitate to share my disappointing experience. Never has this happened to me before. I'm still in awe at what happened to me and my husband this afternoon! Worst hotel experience I've ever had.
Nicely situated near town, friendly to a fault staff, great breakfast spread, fairly priced, and clean rooms, hall ways, and stair cases. Convenient parking to the room. Quiet. Not much else to say...just a nice place to stay.
Best part of stay, comfortable room, surprisingly quiet, excellent coffee and breakfast. Helpful, courteous staff. Fellow travelers were courteous as well and helpful in breakfast room, giving additional help to some of we "older" travelers. I found that to be quaint and gave me a comfortable feeling. A motel where decent, kind people migrate to. What more could one ask for??
We booked this hotel online after reading TripAdvisor reviews. We got a jacuzzi suite which was very nice. My husband said the jacuzzi was nice and the jets worked well. The room was spacious with a comfortable king size bed and lots of pillows. The jacuzzi was in a separate room with a sofa bed and TV. Pool area was nice with a good size hot tub. Staff was friendly and professional. Breakfast was more extensive than most hotels we've stayed in. Many hot item such as biscuits and gravy, two types of scrambled eggs, hot cereal, waffles etc plus toast, English muffins, bagels, fruit ...too many things to list. There's coffee and other hot drinks in the lobby all the time. Great place for families and couples.
We always stay at AmericInn when we are able. Very clean rooms with comfortable beds. our last stay we left extra early Monday morning, I wish I could remember the front desk clerks name but he had breakfast ready by 5 am (normal start 6am) that was a bonus for us. he mentioned that a lot of traveling utility, construction type people stay and need to be out early. So he makes sure they have a hot breakfast before they leave.
After staying at many of the dive hotels in town, we decided to look a few miles out of the city center and spent a little more money. The value was tremendous. I wish we would have found this place years sooner.
Nothing fancy but an Upgraded clean hotel. Polite helpful staff. Rooms were comfortable with adequate space. Fairly extensive breakfast included in stay. Pool and hot tub were great! Adults only from 10-12 nightly and the swimming pool was bath water warm. Price was very competitive with other area hotels. Maybe 10 minutes outside of downtown Eau Claire but very accessible.
Super pool, Jacuzzi in room was amazing, large quiet rooms, super friendly staff! The breakfasts that were included had something for everyone, even the pickiest eaters. The beds were comfortable and LOVED that they offered a discount for families visiting college students (since we came to watch my daughter graduate from UW Eau Claire THAT was a wonderful bonus) I have stayed in AmericInn's before and this one was really top notch!
