We arrived in town at 4am and this place was open and inviting. Staff was very friendly, and they gave us the last room they had. The room had a few shabby aspects, but it was mostly great -- a fridge and microwave in the room, a bathroom with a nice new sink and everything working. Plenty of TP and a hair dryer. The beds were comfortable, too. Oh -- and breakfast was included. The breakfast nook looked small, but there was plenty to eat -- plus a waffle machine. Thumbs up!
We stayed here as part of a tour package. The room was rather small but updated and clean. There is no elevator to the second floor. The coffee was great! Nice and strong as we found in other Quebec establishments. It was a hot and cold breakfast which we had to present coupons to eat there. Not sure if it was extra but was part of our package.
stayed here as a central point touring the area. The rooms haven't been upgraded so would classs as just fair, staff at desk was friendly and helpful in giving directions o various areas, the breakfast was good but the person running it was quite stern and not friendly, a couple had their dog their(not a service dog) which really surprised me.
As we arrived, it was nice to know that the counter guest clerk, Diane, knew both English and French. We had a minor problem that our heat control button was missing. My husband went to the desk, but the button the desk clerk took off another unit did not work for our heat control. We did not trouble her again with the problem. We had one queen bed, a sofa, and desk with chair. The bathroom was beautifully prepared.
Very nice hotel and it accommodated seven of our so we always had to book three rooms. Close to relatives and restaurants. Close to things we wanted to see and very affordable. Clean rooms with lots of fresh towels everyday.
Were supposed to stay one night but decided to stay three. Staff was friendly and competent and able to answer all our queries. The hot and cold free breakfast was a pleasant surprise. The place was quiet an provided a good night s sleep. Will surely come back.
My experience at this place is unbelievable. There for only 2-nights, less than 48-hours. Actually in the hotel for a lot less, and there was NO WATER at all for almost 10-hours. No washing hands, no toilet flushing, no brushing teeth - nothing. All afternoon on the second day and evening. Water came on by the next morning. Actually had to go to restaurants along a highway walking, (did not rent a car) to use the bathroom. No apologies, and no discount! The head office said I would hear from somebody from the property within 72-hours, and of course, did not. This place is to be avoided at all costs!
While traveling through the area on Friday 8/21/1015 we needed a place to stay and stumbled across the Comfort Inn. Just a few miles from downtown sites, close to several restaurants, the CI fit the bill. Not many frills, but the staff is helpful, friendly, and fantastic, even taught me a little French! Very clean too!
Front desk reception was helpful, friendly and efficient. My room appeared to have been recently refurbished, as all amenities were undamaged with minimal use. Room cleanliness was excellent as was bed comfort. Complimentary breakfast service was also very impessive with all items being replenished and well maintained. One point deserving note is the hot items, scrambled eggs etc are served b the attendant, thereby avoiding the food being mishandled. Would stay again if passing through Sherbrooke.
The Comfort Inn is a satisfactory, clean, mostly quiet(it has a quiet time beginning at 11pm), real breakfast included in room rate, moderately priced place to stay. The staff is helpful, hospitable, and most are bilingual. It doesn't have a pool nor is it far from a main thoroughfare- King Ouest or rte. 112. However, the noise from street isn't a problem because there are double sliding glass doors and the rooms are well soundproofed. And it accepts dogs for a onetime, nominal fee. It has complimentary in-room wi-fi, as well as a public use computer with printer in the lobby. I would recommend this place to anyone who wasn't looking for a fancy place.
