The entrance and lobby as well as The Restaurant make a way better impression than The rooms. They Are somewhat small and can be noisy. The Location with Ocean view is nice, but there wasn’t much to do in The area. The Food was good and the staff friendly.

Great location and well managed hotel. Very comfortable rooms with good beds. Very clean. Many rooms with balconies overlooking the beach. Excellent breakfast. Good wifi. Hotel offer shuttle to airport for about 100 Rand. My favorite hotel Port Elizabeth.

This hotel was booked for us by the travel dept my room was at back of hotel which was terrible no sea view just a brick wall. Lovely beach within walking distance but we were told not to walk as it wasn't safe. Nothing to do round hotel so had to eat in hotel didn't find buffet meal good. Breakfast ok. Make sure you request a front room.

Room allocated for 5 days was terrible - my husband didn't want me to complain. People that came for a sleepover had the best views, We were given a room facing the back. What a money waster - hubby wanted to book at Road lodge I persuaded him showing him the ad of the room facing the sea. The service at the restaurant was excellent as well as their food. Bar service and staff was attentive

Stayed here as part of a group due to it's proximity to the airport. The hotel itself is nice. Check in was swift. Rooms are modern and spotlessly clean. Bed was comfortable although a little on the small side. WiFi only worked in the reception area. The one thing I found let this hotel down was the service, it was unbelievably bad. After check in, my partner went to the bar for a drink, we ordered a beer & a coffee. Waited 20 mins for the coffee. Bar or restaurant weren't busy, plus there is plenty of staff walking around the hotel so I don't understand the delay in serving the coffee. Dinner service was worse. Waited 1hr 15 mins for our starters!!!! Once again plenty of staff in the restaurant and the kitchen ( I could see into the kitchen from my table, which by the way looked spotless, all culinary staff in hairnets, gloves etc.). After an hour waiting I was offered the dessert menu, I was still waiting for my starter!! Our starters weren't waiting for, my calamari was rubbery and as for my partner's soup!!! Oh my word!! Soup!! It was supposed to be potato soup, think they got wall paper paste mixed up with the soup. It was extremely thick, pale and bland plus it was served in a cold bowl. It was truly disgusting! On the other hand our mains ( t-bone steak) were absolutely gorgeous, albeit portion size was a bit on the small size. We cancelled dessert as my patience had almost ran out at that stage. We then proceeded to the bar to have a nightcap with our fellow travellers. Once again, you wouldn't want to be thirsty, service was extremely slow. Not a hope of getting a drink after 11pm, well u can get a drink but you must proceed to drink it in your room because the bar literally gets locked up at 11pm. Breakfast was good. Unfortunately this hotel provided the worst service in my 2 week trip to South Africa and is more memorable for the bad reasons than the good.

Although we only stayed for one night, our stay was very comfortable. The hotel is easy to find and in a nice location. Parking is ample and check is swift and effect. Rooms are big and clean and bathrooms are excellent with a nice walk in shower. Near to lots of shops and bars. Nice breakfast and good service. Very close to the airport which is also very helpful. Over all a very pleasant stay.

I stayed there for 2 nights on business. The hotel is clean and the staff are really friendly and helpful. The rooms are modern and comfortable with all the amenities you need. Rooms either have a garden or sea facing view. I had a garden room which had a lovely outside area to relax in. The breakfast buffet was good. I would recommend this hotel

The are closely situated to both airport and main beach so you don't have to travel any distances. Rooms are clean and tidy, both restaurant and bar are comfortably elevated. Both buffet and a la carte lunch selection are well priced and of good quality. It is of wooden design (not throughout) which gives it a classic feeling. Staff is friendly and helpful. I would not classify this as a 4-star bit rather 3.5....

We arrived here late one afternoon and left early the next morning. Our room (no 32 on the first floor) was bright, clean, comfortable, and big enough to open two large suitcases. The reception area was the best area to get Wi-Fi, with easy access. The staff were pleasant and helpful. The hotel is perfectly situated to go for a walk along the promenade and pier. Breakfast was very good with freshly made omelettes.

To see an hotel built with wood in this day and age takes your breath away. Just a few blocks off the beach in Port Elizabeth is a really old world looking hotel. The staff are friendly, it is after all the friendly city, and the rooms well appointed. Well worth the stay in this day and age of concrete blocks
