My sister and I went on Grand UK New Year Holiday to this hotel the bedrooms need some refurb, the staff were very good and food good, only thing that spoiled it was the New Year celebrations as no dance floor and poor entertainment. There was another large party at the hotel and they had the use of the ballroom, making us feel like second class citizens. The staff were so busy and working long hours but they still had smile for everybody. I would maybe go again if it was not so over crowded.

Travelled with a large group to this hotel for New Year’s Eve . Hotel itself is rather tired and needs a refurb, but the staff were fantastic and a mention for Ruben who went out of his way to help where he could. Food was good and mostly plentyfull. I would have liked a bar to have been open later than 22.45 as I am used to in other hotels .

we had to change our room on arrival as it was looking out over the kitchen roof and also the room was sparse with furniture the staff were polite food was not up to standard except on the Christmas day dinner there were issues with other nights such as lack of choice and some were tasteless bath panel was broken in two places entertainment was very poor and one never turned up a replacement turned up at 10 o clock there was no bingo and there was no piped music a number of guests went to theire rooms there was no information from management at all as it was a t/t week end it was a shambles

I have just spent a Christmas break at this hotel with my mother and aunt. The main reception rooms were in good decorative order, however, the corridors and bedrooms Were not. Very bad condition, in need of 're-decorating, and pictures on walls etc. My mother and aunts bedroom was in very poor condition, especially the bathroom! It was a seaview room, which they were charged an extra £100 for, which, considering The state of the room..I found incredible! Also, the heating in the corridors was incredibly hot, unbearable! The food was all good, and all of the front of house staff were amazing, friendly and Helpful at all times. Reuben the manager was excellent. S.p.Hardy.

A one good thing- a sea view room. Overall poor! The main disappointment- untrained staff, lack of knowledge of dietary precautions, poor customers service during meal times. Not to mention the food quality :(

On arrival the staff were friendly, but on our return at 10.00pm the place was totally deserted ! No reception, bars all closed and it was like staying on the Marie Celeste! We had a sea view room which made the room pleasant but otherwise it was a very tired and forlorn hotel., which is a shame as it s in such a good location.

The hotel reception was very welcoming nice decorations new carpet and warm and the staff were very helpful, the bedroom was large ,clean and the beds comfortable with nice linen also the towels were of good quality. The room was nice and warm but we unable to control the heated towel rail in the bathroom which over night remained on. The hotel need to be decorated as the halls and the up stairs were very shabby. Entertainment every evening, same songs but sang by four different people, the guests seemed to prefer the TV in their rooms or visit another hotel. Breakfast was disappointing as we found unless you went for 7.30am the food was not very warm, shame as there was a good selection. I don't know how old the bread was for toast but one morning a piece had mould on it also we pointed out that one of the yogurts was two days over it's sell by date. Evening meals were disappointing as the main meat seemed to be chicken. House keeping not so good at the end of the stay toilet paper not replaced good job the Ladies had some spare ones.

i really enjoyed my stay here , staff and young manager Rubhen were some of the best ive come across, room huge , warm and a proper bathroom, decor some what tired and jaded in places, food exellent, next time i would like a seaview room, but no complaints for the holiday i was on amazing value .

I can only write about the room in which I stayed, which was the worst hotel room I have ever stayed in over many, many years. Why do I say this? well let me describe our accommodation - En suite - window wouldn't shut properly, basin cracked, basin plug did not fit so to use basin, the only way was to keep water running, light not working, rusty fixture, and safety mat torn. The bedroom likewise had major faults - double glazing sliding window had a panel missing, carpet dirty and patched, curtains were of differing lengths at the same window, light not working, toiletries not replaced, and cobwebs in both rooms. Reported lights, heated towel rail leaks, double glazing problems and basin plug issues first morning after arrival but only lights and towel rail fixed. Found out later that other reported issues were not written in the hotel's log. I was advised that I could have asked for another room, but as I was also advised the hotel was full this was not an answer. A room with so many problems should not have been let. There are several steps leading from the pavement to the entrance doors, which may make access difficult for the less abled. The hotel is no longer a 3 star hotel.

we have jut come back from a great stay at this hotel there were a few issues with heating when we arrived but the staff were more than helpfull and sorted the problem out as soon as they were told .The food was good serving staff fab Molly was really helpfull along with the male servers and nothing was too much trouble .The hotel was clean and entertainment was good in the evenings ,bingo was good and Richard entertained us as always .I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a nice place to stay on the sea front the pier is a two minute walk from the hotel and the town is 5 mins . The xmas theme was good and santa even came with a present well worth the money for a tinsel and turkey break
