Me and my other half stayed last year and bought my daughter with us this time. Yes hotel could do with a lick of paint and a little tlc but we paid £50 for 3 of us in a family room with breakfast. Staff are friendly. My daughter unfortunately got ill on the way here and was sick all day. The manager bought her soup and a bread roll once she finally stopped being sick. "no charge, really hope she feels better soon" Like I've said cheep and cheerful.

Stayed here many times over the years...big improvements from last stay. Still a little "tired" but very warm décor and updated rooms with good heating and décor. and staff are very freindly and welcoming. Breakfast is really good. Got a good deal through TA but always value for money to stay here. Great seafront views and across to the pier. Would definitely recommend this Lions Hotel to single and family visitors.

Grand UK 5-day break. All Staff treated us wonderfully. Food excellent. Good service in restaurant. Good price for house wine. View from our room was great. Needs some updating in rooms, but overall they were clean and comfortable.

We are staying at this nice hotel for our first wedding anniversary and I can say no matter the hotel itself is old and needs refurbishing the say was a pleasant one. The staff is really friendly and willing to help and make you feel comfortable. They arranged is a complimentary drink for our special occasion which was very kind. We even have a room with a see view :) The restaurant had few not very good points but I guess it was because the hotel was closed for quite some time as far as I know. Anyway we enjoyed our staying a d would recommend it if you need to stay somewhere for few nights.

We were the first group to visit in 2018, many had rooms missing the basics eg toilet rolls but the staff were more than happy to to resolve without issue The breakfast and dinners were substantial but some requested their dishes to be reheated The hotel decor is very tired but the atmosphere is good and in such a wonderful location and the price is brilliant

My sister and I went on Grand UK New Year Holiday to this hotel the bedrooms need some refurb, the staff were very good and food good, only thing that spoiled it was the New Year celebrations as no dance floor and poor entertainment. There was another large party at the hotel and they had the use of the ballroom, making us feel like second class citizens. The staff were so busy and working long hours but they still had smile for everybody. I would maybe go again if it was not so over crowded.

Travelled with a large group to this hotel for New Year’s Eve . Hotel itself is rather tired and needs a refurb, but the staff were fantastic and a mention for Ruben who went out of his way to help where he could. Food was good and mostly plentyfull. I would have liked a bar to have been open later than 22.45 as I am used to in other hotels .

we had to change our room on arrival as it was looking out over the kitchen roof and also the room was sparse with furniture the staff were polite food was not up to standard except on the Christmas day dinner there were issues with other nights such as lack of choice and some were tasteless bath panel was broken in two places entertainment was very poor and one never turned up a replacement turned up at 10 o clock there was no bingo and there was no piped music a number of guests went to theire rooms there was no information from management at all as it was a t/t week end it was a shambles

I have just spent a Christmas break at this hotel with my mother and aunt. The main reception rooms were in good decorative order, however, the corridors and bedrooms Were not. Very bad condition, in need of 're-decorating, and pictures on walls etc. My mother and aunts bedroom was in very poor condition, especially the bathroom! It was a seaview room, which they were charged an extra £100 for, which, considering The state of the room..I found incredible! Also, the heating in the corridors was incredibly hot, unbearable! The food was all good, and all of the front of house staff were amazing, friendly and Helpful at all times. Reuben the manager was excellent. S.p.Hardy.

A one good thing- a sea view room. Overall poor! The main disappointment- untrained staff, lack of knowledge of dietary precautions, poor customers service during meal times. Not to mention the food quality :(
