Dwór Oliwski City Hotel & SPA5.0 out of 5.0

I love this place, so peaceful and quite with great pool and saunas. Away from the city with a huge park next to the hotel. This place might not be best for visiting the city and easily hopping between city attractions but is actually a superior chill out retreat.
A great hotel deserving the 5* if you are looking for peace, nature, good food and relaxation. It is located in a peacuful little village-like area of the city, next to a big forest, with nature and cosiness all around. The buildings look like they could.have been a part of a a little court a few centuries ago - this location and looks of the hotel are probably the best single thing about it. Rooms Are spacious, comfy and modern, in line with the 'old' character of the whole place, though Swimming pool And saunas are very nice and you can relax there or have a nice massage; this area is - like the whole place - peaceful, quiet and well equiped Food Is really good and the restaurant deserves high praises; it is not a 'signature' restaurant or something that deserves stars from the French tyre manufacturer, but the food - both for breakfast and dinner - is fresh, varied, tasty on a 5* hotel level; the dishes, when I visited, combined both Polish traditional and mediterranean cuisine. Room service and reception Good, professional, discrete, helpful, English speaking, did not try other languages Overall this is an expectional place, deserves defo the 5*; recommened for those who rate high peace, nature, those who seek relaxtion and high level of hospitality. For business it can be good as well since it is on the way from the airport to the city centre. Be aware that it is not in downtown, though. We, demanding and in our 30', did not find one single thing we could complain about which was nice and surprising.
We stayed at this hotel some years ago and enjoyed our peaceful stay back then so decided to stay here this time. First of all, the room seemed tired and the décor wasn't as nice as we remembered it and I am not sure if we just had a different type of room or because it was in a different part of the hotel (that part of the hotel was not completed when we stayed here last) That might sound fussy but the pillows and the bed were really horrible and very uncomfortable. I am expecting a 5 star hotel to have exceptionally good quality bedding as that has a huge impact on sleep and we were not rested at all after that night, which was annoying as we had a very long journey back to Asia the following day. The day we stayed there was also some sort of party in one of the rooms downstairs pretty much below our room. The music did not stop until 1 am!! The hotel didn't seem fully occupied and I just don't understand why anyone would actually be placed in a room above a party - unless you are a guest at that party as you would probably come to your room after it had finished. If we would have been informed at check-in that our room is above a party room I would def not stay here. We chose this rural location to enjoy a peaceful night....I did mention that at reception at departure but there was NO reaction from staff at all which was very disappointing. The hotel is in a very rural location and we didn't mind that but if you are looking for a place close to town be prepared to hire a car or use a taxi. The breakfast buffet is great, it has absolutely anything you can wish for and the quality of the produce is very good too. All in all we had a disappointing stay and I am not sure if we will stay here again.
Surrounded by woods, in a quiet place though not far from Gdansk by car, this hotel has a true charm. I've been there in February, it must have an additional charm in summer time with terrasses and garden. Very kind service, excellent restaurant (both cellar and fine dining room), spatious and well designed room, a perfect place to stop by with your lover, or to have a business meeting in a quiet and exclusive place. Only the massage was a bit disappointing, but the presence of the spa is another plus of this hotel
Not too long a drive from the airport, this was a quiet location for a conference. The rooms were large, clean and well equipped. Food for all meals was good. Staff were very helpful. Gym very small but good sized pool.
Quiet location (forests and so..nice ZOO very close).Decent people work there. Our apartament was the biggest possible ,with fine two bathrooms (not brand new but warm, charming style) big bedroom and even bigger living room.Although...we came in 4persons and sleeps in living room I wouldnt consider too comfy.Magic xmas evening,Good food and music, fine breakfast in stylish restaurant upstairs.Interesting :you can take some sunbath at the pool for free (turn lamps on and rest in the corner beds behind curtain).Be aware -To get to restaurant you must go outside-its a separate building. It can be uneasy in december with small children. You can be nice surprised as we were, with small game presents for kids ,cookies and many little, pretty cosmetics sets ...
Really enjoyed my stay here. The rooms were spacious and the grounds were beautiful, located on a lake in a forested area. The hotel had high end restaurants with exceptional food. I recommend the restaurant 1611 and also try to get a room on the second floor for a nicer view.
Well service, rooms, hotel facilities and breakfast are really nice and deserve high rank. I must admit that breakfasts are really top class. I cannot tell the same regarding restaurant which tries to be modern/trendy but lack concept or idea. I'd rather see in such place some reminiscence to 17th century menu rather than copying trend setters.
I can't understand how a restaurant can be as inefficient as this one, I have been waiting for 1 hour for de dinner menu, after 50 minutos I asked and they said 20 more minutes, I gave 10 just in case and finally a just need to go to sleep without dinner. At least the room is nice and quiet.
The hotel location is just great! In theofrest North from the sea. You can have nice run nad bike ride there. The hotel itself is composed from a group of nice buildings nicely renovated. The spa is great with a swimming pool. Service is always good. For the room if you like hotel with charms, you gonna love it but if you prefer modern style, it isn't the best. Internet connection isn't that good in every room.
