This guest cottage is part of a private 7 ½ acre oceanfront estate (the entire estate sleeps 12 and includes 2 properties: See VRBO #1213467) and provides 180 degree open ocean views and is the perfect base for sailors, boaters, nature enthusiasts and families escaping daily stress. In addition to the amazing ocean and coastal views, a perennial fresh water stream empties into the ocean from the private cove that fronts the guest cottage. Depending on seasonal rain and Spring snow melt, the cove can be a gentle running stream or a small waterfall emptying into the ocean. While privacy abounds, you’re within three miles of the East Boothbay General Store and two great restaurants and just 5 miles to the charming sites and activities of downtown Boothbay and a large grocery supermarket. The property offers a 2 bedroom, 1 bath home with private entry, a new oversize deck and a lovely grassy area directly fronting the ocean cove.

A stand of trees between the two properties offers privacy to each property. The guest cottage offers amazing rocky coast, open ocean and island views from the deck, family room, dining and kitchen areas. The guest cottage was fully and painstakingly remodeled in 2017. The home is furnished with every amenity, including chef’s kitchen, new stainless steel appliances and informal dining and living spaces. The décor is New England prep, featuring quality and comfortable furnishings with clean lines that merge modern with classic. You’ll feel at home in our coastal room shades punctuated with colorful nautical accent art work and comfortable seating. The inside to outside views become difficult to distinguish as home and cottage blue paint hues and white trim paints mimic the sea and sky. The flooring throughout is charming wide board honey pine.

The guest cottage sits atop a three car garage. It can be directly accessed via a private first floor entry door or directly via the deck staircase and entry. The guest quarters feature an ample Gourmet Kitchen with Island, an Eat in kitchen area, a spacious family room with couch and chair seating, a centrally located full bath with tub and shower and hall access to both Queen (one a 4 poster, canopied Mahogany Rice bed) Bed bedrooms, with new mattresses and linens. Stainless Steel appliances are top notch with electric oven and smooth top stove cooking. There are ample kitchen cabinets, recessed lighting, fully equipped small appliances to include toaster, coffee pot, blender, mixer, etc. Flatware, knives, serving utensils, kitchen bar and serving glassware should meet your dining and entertainment needs.

The new in 2018, 12' X 24' custom deck dramatically expands the living area by bringing the outdoors indoors! A new full size Washer and Dryer are located in the garage on the lower level. The surround picture windows and sliding glass doors bring the outdoors in and offer perfect ventilation. A corner TV allows you to watch morning news, cooking shows, not miss a favorite sporting event or watch a movie with attached DVD/VCR player. The cottage offers internet access, Spectrum TV channels and ROKU access.

The home provides a gas grill (shared with the main house) and outside furniture. .

Pointed Fir Cottage is available for Weekly, Monthly or Seasonal Rental. The property comfortably accommodates up to 4 guests. There is also a pull out sleeper sofa that could accommodate an additional short term guest, for a small additional fee.
