The mountain view was spectacular and this resort is nestled in a Valley. We went here to take the Silverton train ride which was about 20 minutes away. Great room

worn, old. hotel staff not particularly helpful. nowhere to eat breakfast.

I worked here 30 years ago in college and, while different from what it was, it is still a wonderful environment. The views are stunning. The pool was under renovation so we went up to the Lodge at Purgatory. They were great.

I had two adjoining rooms and they were beautiful. The views were grand. The staff were very helpful and nice. I sent pictures to my son and he wants to bring his family in January. They loved the sites. I have no doubts I will be coming back to the same lodge.

The bed was the hardest thing I have ever slept on, that includes the floor. This place is out dated and is need of a remodel badly. My wife grew up in Durango and told me this place is awesome. I guess it was back in the 90's, and nothing has changed. The was cereal from the previous guest on the floor, lucky charms. I specifically asked for them to clean our room the second day, let the hanger on the door for service. Asked them to please vacuum. They removed the hanger and placed back in our room and did nothing to it. No new towels, did not clean the sinks and did not vacuum. I will never stay there again, I am in physical pain from the beds and it was dirty. We did not allow our children to take their shoes of until they got in bed. Stear clear!!!!!!!!!!

Really enjoyed this lodge located about 15 miles north of Durango. Large room, comfortable beds and easy checkin/out. Would recommend to others.

Room was small and window shades were falling apart.

We were first time visitors the Durango area and I was not at all sure if I had chosen the right place for us. I could not have been more pleased. I would happily recommend Tamarron to anybody!

Cool place to base your 4 corners experience. Close enough to town and far enough away from it as well. We did not want for anything, the service was professional, they know what you need before you ask. The spa could have used a few more towels in the rotation, or another dryer to keep up with demand, but this was only a minor blemish. The kids loved the pool and this made for a great place to burn off some energy. We will be back.....

I want to live here! This place is awesome, the room is awesome....one draw back, no pets! Close to sking, cool town. GO!

Very nice hotel. Did not interact much with staff. Quiet.

Vary nice place to stay. Room is big, clean, and quite. But, it may need a bigger sign on road side, otherwise is hard to find during the night.

Stayed at Tamarron that gave us good position between Durango and DMR. Room was amazingly clean and comfortable. The swimming pool was a blast for the kids, swimming inside and outside under the wall. Having an adult only hot tub was a nice touch for me. I will stay there again.

Front desk staff very pleasant, the restaurant is average at best, the location is beautiful and the Glacier golf course is exquisit.

The entire Tamarron experience was better than expected. The resort was a nice distance from Durango & The Durango Mountain Resort. Our room was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped. The maid service was good, and clean, thick towels were provided daily. Would go back there tomorrow if I could!

Overall good experience. Nice hotel, beautiful views! No restaurant nearby, but downtown Durango was great. Our AC didn't cool the room for several hours, which was not ideal at all. Wish we could have stayed their multiple nights to enjoy the amenities. We got lost on the way, there aren't any signs letting you know where to turn.

Great recreational opportunities within comfotable driving distance.

Immediately on entering the room, we knew this wasn't just your average place. The room had recently been remodelled and was very well appointed - and it was bigger than your typical hotel room. Big windows and awesome views of the mountain and golf course. The lodge is really quiet without a lot of activity right on site but you are only a few minutes away from the ski-area where you can find plenty to do. A half-day doing the rides at Durango Mountain Resort was a highlight of our trip. If you want to be in the middle of activities in downtown Durango you need to look elsewhere, but if you don't mind the short drive, this place was GREAT.

Many renovations done, many left to do...the rooms were spatious and included nice kitchenettes. The views were spectacular. The pool and workout areas were nice. No dining at the lodge for "a few months" so check on this if it is important to you. It's about 20 minutes from Durango. Would make a great retreat for a couple or a fun getaway for the family that enjoys the woods and doesn't mind in-room cooking.

We were here on a ski vacation and really enjoyed our stay. The room was very spacious, comfortable, nicely decorated, and included a little stove for cooking, refrigerator, and microwave. This was really helpful because we saved money by eating in. Plates, cookware and flatware were provided. The area surrounding the lodge is very scenic. The only thing I wished the front desk did was inform us at check-in that it was daylight savings and that we should change our clocks. We didn't realize this and were 1 hour behind the whole next day. We almost picked up our kids late from ski-school because of this. Also, the hotel provided a continental breakfast that the front desk clerk neglected to inform us about. We accidently found this out on the morning of check-out. The hotel itself was very comfortable and lovely, but front desk staff needs to be more thoroughly trained.
