Had a good recent stay. Free breakfast and more! Pool is preeeetttttty small, so your kiddos might be disappointed if they're looking forward to a night of swimming.

Small rooms, lumpy pillows, small pool without a hot tub, and you can here every move in neighboring rooms.

Bathroom vent fan very loud, comes on when u turn on light. Good breakfast. Not great value for the price.

The pros: The staff was very friendly, beds were comfortable, decor was pleasant, it was close to dining and shopping, there was a fridge and microwave in the room, and the breakfast was very good with multiple options. The cons: The price of the room was high, but pretty common for a weekend during the fall color season. The pool was small (but uncrowded), but there was not hot tub. Pillows kept going flat, even with multiple - would recommend bringing your own if flat pillows bother you.

Great price and the staff was very helpful. Breakfast was great. We wish it was closer to Lake Superior.

This hotel was perfect for the type of the short getaway we were looking for. It was close to restaurants and bars we wanted to go to and the staff were friendly.

Clean hotel and very affordable. Location is right by the mall so easy to access shopping.

Very expensive hotel for what you get. Location great for shopping. Not worth the price per night. Loud at night with kids slamming doors and such.

2nd time we have stayed there. It has been remodeled since we were there last. There is one small sitting chair in the room, 2 or 1 larger one would be more comfortable. The bed is all white linens, it could use a nice colorful bedspread. Other than that everything is wonderful. The pool is pretty small and shallow, but the whirlpool is nice. All in all we enjoy staying there and will stay there again. The staff were all wonderful!

Pleasant stay, friendly staff, nice continental breakfast, happy with it all.

The hotel was good for the price. Good not great .

This hotel allows people to bring their pets. I was not informed that they had a dog in the room adjacent to my room. The pet owners went out to dinner and left the dog, which howled for 3 hours. I went to lobby to read and could still hear the dog howling. I feel there should be specific rooms for visitors who bring their pets so others do not have to be disterbed. Also I do not like the idea of being in a room that may have had any pet in there the night before.

We spent just two days in Duluth so my son could visit St. Scholastica and check out appartments. The Fairfield Inn was in the perfect location for our trips to the school, downtown for dinner, and various visits to several appartments. The room was clean and comfortable and the staff was extremely pleasant.

This is your standard Fairfield property. The staff was cheerful and friendly at check-in. The room was clean upon arrival and daily maid service was good. The best part of our stay was the included free daily breakfast. The selection was excellent with 2 belgian waffle makers, hot and cold cereal, coffee, tea, juices etc. A free breakfast for four saves some dollars, which makes the Fairfield a good value.

The hotel is clean and the staff is always very friendly. We've stayed there twice now and I think we'll be there again.

i would stay here again. nice staff short ride to downtown. comfy beds.

Tight quarters in the bathroom. The door opened into the bathroom and blocked access to the shower and came too close to the toilet. The bathroom reeked of old urine. The halway noise was extreme and everthing occurring in the rooms above could be heard. Couldn't understand how a hotel less than15 years old looked so outdated (i.e. linens and decor).

The staff was nice (made sure that we had a room away from the large group of kids staying there). Good breakfast in the morning including waffle makers. The room was clean with what seemed like a decent bed, although my back certainly disagreed in the morning (and I'm only 24).

We had a very good room and the staff was great. Fairfield Inn by Marriott Duluth was well worth the stay.

This hotel was a great place to stay. It was clean, quiet, and beds were very comfortable. Most of all it was located near the greatest shopping places. I would definitely stay here again.
