We stayed at Stadthotel while visiting a trade show with work. We needed around 6-7 rooms so that was the only option. Location is convenient for the “Messe” and not far from airport and equally convenient for Altstadt dinners and drinks (10-12 Euro taxi). Rooms are very basic and out of date. Amazed there are still hotels with single beds! It was clean though. Breakfast was disastrous for 11 euros. Please do not do it to yourselves! Buffet was limited to a couple of items and quality uncertain! Would not go back.
Small rooms, clean. Area not very interesting. Half an hour walk to city center or take the tram or metro. Good breakfast. Next to traditional German restaurant, see my review. Parking in public parking house nearby.
Nice, clean and wifi. The large double rooms are ok. Moquette and furniturepefhaps a little d, as the completely white bathroom; but clean! I was here during the Drupa fair and it was quiete silent. Breakfast more than ok. 20 min from airport, 10 min from fair, next to main shopping street and several restaurants etc. Rapport price - quality = positive!!
I stayed at the Stadthotel Duesseldorf for 3 nights during a business trip. My room was spacious, modern, clean and very calm. Wifi was free, but sometimes slow. So why not 5 stars ? My room was kinda cold, even if I turned up the heater to the max. Especially at night. And the breakfast is not worth the 9 Euros. It's not bad, but also nothing special and just too standard.
Very good location: tram stop right across the street that brings you to/from the train station (tram 707), tram stop around the corner with several tram lines as 715 that brings you to the old town, shopping area and reastaurant/pub street! It is clean and well maintained, good check-in/check-out times. Walking distance shopps, restaurants, supermarkets and some nice visiting sights. We booked this hotel also because it featured free wifi. We had 3 devices, different manifactureres, none of which got any signal at all for the internet, this caused some issues as we were supposed to check e-mails from wirk and we have been unable to do so at the hotel. Very rude night shift porter, unwilling to help at all!!! The morning recwptionist could not help either but at least she approached the matter in a professional manner. We did not get any refund for the inconvenience but we paid for a service we did not recive!
We recently spent three nights at the stadthotel Dusseldorf and really enjoyed our stay. The hotel is in a great location, just a 10 minute walk to the Alstadt, but with plenty of shops, bars and restaurants in the immediate vicinity. There is also a bar joined on to the hotel reception. The room we has was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed for a short stay, including a map of the city which we found useful. the breakfast was fine for the price, with plenty of breads, cold meat, cheese, eggs, bacon, yoghurt and a waffle maker. We would definitely return.
This hotel was double the price simply because there was a fair on while I was staying there. The price was double the normal rate which I had no problem with until I realised that it was far from fully-booked. In the morning at 9 a.m. there were 2 other people having breakfast and only 4 or 5 tables had been set and I only saw or heard 2 or 3 people in the lift or lobby. I feel this practice of greatly inflating prices is unfair particularly when the hotel is far from full. The hotel itself is fine - reasonably quiet, the room was clean, spacious with a big bathroom and breakfast was average. All ok but not at that price.
Clean and bright room, excellent location, but stuff should work on their English. That is not objection, but suggestion. Hotel is modern and light; but restoran is completely opposite - dark and old.
the staff tried to make us pay twice for the rooms we had. a *** star hotel whitout any internet computer??? 1980:s or The parking arrangement nearby the hotel was not existing, The hotell gave away tickets to some parkinghouse but, charged us for 100€ noting nice to say,the staff spoke very litte english.
This hotel is very nice. The rooms are clean and modern and gives you a good feeling better than your average 3 star hotel. The room included free internet and breakfast, which was a plus! The staff was friendly and welcoming. We arrived late the first day and that was no problem. The breakfast was good for a 3 star hotel. There was a mix of canned fruit, yogurt, cereals, croissants, and bacon & eggs. The problem was it seemed that they fill it early in the morning but once it gets eaten they don't refill things. By 9AM the eggs were all gone. Still I think this depends on the day. The location is not bad for Düsseldorf but you are not in the historic Altstadt (old city). You are right off of Nordstr, which is a nice street with shops, and some nice restaurants. I used to live in Düsseldorf and this is one of my favorite parts of the city. To get the center you have to take a tram for about 10 minutes. Overall I liked the hotel and the next time we go to Düsseldorf we will stay here!
