had trouble with the original online booking and had to get in touch directly to find out if I had a booking or not! had to send two emails and waited several days for a response and apology. I then tried without success to upgrade my room online for 10€ per night. Eventually upgraded on arrival but for 15€ per night! Loud drilling began around 07:00h each morning with strange banging noises in the late afternoon but because of the queues at reception I did not complain. Reception staff were unhelpful and disinterested generally and omitted to tell me that the local Ubahn station did not operate on a Sunday! On checking out they tried to charge me for four breakfasts that I had not had and four mini bar items that I had not had! And they were not interested in the noise problem.
Nice, clean, modern hotel. Price is good for the great quality they offer. Good continental breakfast with a lot of choice. Not near the city center of Dusseldorf, but easy to go there with public transport. Friendly staff.
I booked the hotel online in a rush as I had to come to Germany for a funeral. Upon arrival I was pleasantly surprised. The room I was given was huge, with two single beds. I was staying alone so this wasn't an issue. The gym was well equipped with plenty of space and the breakfast was a nice buffet with plenty to choose from. There was plenty of parking under the hotel and it cost me €20 for the 24hrs I was there and I was able to come and go on that ticket. All in all a good value pleasant hotel. If I come to Frankfurt again I'd happily stay here again.
I arrived at the hotel at 1:00 pm having left another hotel due to unsanitary conditions. I was greeted by Christian at the front desk who went so above and beyond, I cannot think of another employee at a hotel who was so helpful and I have been traveling extensively for work last 20 years with thousands of hotel stays under my belt. He actually called the other hotel to try and get a refund since I do not speak German. When I awoke in the morning he had left me an email to contact the hotel to request a refund. He had obviously been working on the matter after I went to bed because the hotel hung up on him twice while I was with him. You almost never see people go so far out of their way for a stranger and I really appreciate it. Now the hotel. Nice, clean and comfortable bed. Clean, updated room. Very comfortable. Reasonable parking under the building for 10 euro was convenient too. The next day, I got a tour bus up the street to see Berlin. The location of the hotel was ideal as a base to see the city. Thanks for a great stay! Highly recommend.
Excellent business hotel located in a nice area. Close to the airport. Walking distance from the metro. Excellent service. Decent food at the restaurant. Nice bar. Breakfast was great. Rich selection of food including freshly made omelets. Great gym and sauna. Rooms are large and clean. Comfortable beds. Bathroom could be more comfortable but let us not be picky. Excellent hotel and highly recommended.
The staff were helpful and attentive. The hotel is in a great location short walk to plenty bars and restaurants. Only a short taxi ride to the old town centre. The room itself was large and comfortable very clean excellent housekeeping + free WIFI. The lounge and bar area is very comfortable. The Ascot Bar is Fantastic, Original fittings, Katharina & Alizee get 10/10 wonderful hosts.
The normal rooms are renovated and are fitted with a modern design. They somehow have a touch of sea / yacht. The premium rooms are bigger, have a bigger bathroom and are also modern but with no special touch motto. Friendly staff, food is good and the cozy bar is a good place to have a drink at the end of the day. The hotel is about 20 min away from the airport. During the day we attended a small event on the first floor. Waiters there were not so great. It sometimes took forever to bring fresh drinks or coffee.
First, the hotel is too far from main attractions (convention center, old town, etc). Secondly, I originally booked a room for myself, as I was going on business. I later decided to bring my wife and daughter, as the photos of the room showed ample space with the couch in the room. When I arrived, I was told that I couldn't have more than 2 in a room as it wasn't "safe", even though they confirmed that there was a couch in the room. After much arguing, they finally accommodated me by "upgrading' me to a room that would work. Unfortunately, it was a smoking room and smelled terrible. What was even more disturbing was that for my daughter's bed, they simply put sheets on the couch in the room. Frustrating. Oh yes, they also said that my upgrade allowed me to have free access to the mini-bar in the room. In most hotels, that is a fridge with a wide assortment of items. Here, it was one beer, one sparkling water, and one coke. Some selection! ADditinally, when my wife would go to the front desk for information on how to get to different places, she always, and I do mean always, received wrong instructions. When asked where to get on the train to get around town, they sent her to a station that was closed. When asked how to get to a specific attraction in the city, they sent her to the completely wrong side of town. There were other instances, but I will not go into them here. All in all, I cannot recommend this hotel.
Excellent hotel, very comfortable room. Breakfast is fine, plenty of seats in a warm atmosphere. Had a Nice time at the bar. Check out took very long, a queu of 10 people. Also the additional fee for parking in the garage should not be charged.
