We stayed at this hotel only for a one night. We got a better room than we booked so we were really pleased with that until we got to the room. It was clear that someone had been smoking in it even though they claimed it was a non-smoking room. The window in the room didn’t fully close and in the 6th floor the wind was pretty strong and noisy (obviously if you could close the window it wouldn’t be a problem + it got quite cold in the night). The Location near Königsallee is great but to me the hotel felt dirty and old. The cleaner lady also entered our room without knocking an hour before the check-out time. I guess the room had been empty for a while and the staff used to go to smoke there? The bathroom was old and the lightning was bad. Even though we got a better room than we payed for I wasn’t pleased with our stay and I’d recommend to look for a cleaner and a lately renovated hotel.
Located reasonably close to the main railway station and a short walk to the shopping district and old town. Standard rooms have twin single beds and the bathroom has a bath located shower with ineffective screen.
We were pleasantly surprised that we were given early check-in after a long drive from Amsterdam ! The reception staff is amicable and quick with the check-in. She patiently attended to us and offering us option of the “City View” or the “Courtyard View” and whether we would like to stay on the high floor. This helped to ensure that she is meeting the different needs of the guests and thank you so much for it. The room is comfortable and spacious with clean sheet and towel ! The bathroom has a decent size bathtub and good supply of hot water ! It is conveniently located near to the Graf-Adolf-Plafz U station and Albert Heijn (both are 1-2 min walk.) It is also near to the shopping district Königsallee and Christmas Markets (5 - 8 min walk.) You might to take note that complimentary 2x bottled water are given on your first day and it is not given the day after. The bathroom does not have anti-slip mat for you to take a shower while on the bathtub. Bathroom slippers are not provided. In all, we had a lovely stay here with the courtyard view.
Reception was horrible, I booked 3 rooms but only got 2 at the arrival. Even with the writing confirmation, the front office staff insisted to say I only booked 2 rooms. Worst, I did prepay the 3 rooms and never got refund, let's say I've been stolen. Their hotels are also really too expensive compare to the quality of service AND product.
Contemporary nice hotel, stayed there for 2 nights, one breakfast. Check in was a little slow, at 4pm ish on a Thursday only 1 staff member and 4 guest were actually queuing. Overall sanitary conditions are impeccable. Standard double bed room in this hotel was very nice, with comfortable bed, well designed room not too much and too less, to make it cosy, bathroom was a little small and just a bathroom with a shower over tub. Breakfast was € 19,95 pre booked at the reception the day before, otherwise € 25, hence the usual in hotels. However, make sure to say the nr of person, otherwise they will bill you the number of people per room. Consistency of the breakfast, simply everything you can think of from cake to English breakfast, throughout vegan. Just delicious 😋 😋 Checkout was quick and easy, billed me 2 breakfasts = number of person per room, hence double bed. That was then sorted quickly. Overall good experience, but nothing breathtaking just a more vibrant hotel thanks to its contemporary design and deco. Good location to get into Düsseldorfs heart either for shopping or partying or simply chilled out weekend ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
After a bad start to our holiday with a mix up at another hotel this hotel was a savour, We walked in the decor was lovely and Christmasy made me feel at home and the staff where really pleasant , spoke perfect English which is always a bonus. The room was pretty pricey but from what we saw in the lobby area we thought the rooms where going to be worth the money but sadly they weren’t , although it was incredibly clean the room was so basic for the price we paid, we asked for a double room and got 2 single beds which wasn’t a big hassle just had to rearrange the room a little bit , the bathroom was small but very clean and had everything you needed including a face flannel which came in very handy. As I’m quite a light sleeper the walls felt like paper! I could hear everything from doors slamming , people turning on taps, people’s phone alarms going off very early in the morning and even heard conversations between the people on the next room!. But the location was what made the hotel as it was situated in the centre which was absolutely perfect for us as we could get to everything on foot. So overall the staff, location and cleanliness was perfect but everything could do with a little attention. I would stay there again but take ear plugs and hopefully pay a little less.
While I may not be as demanding as some of the other reviewers I found my stay fairly pleasant. The best thing about this hotel is the location. The hotel was clean and well kept. The rooms were of a decent size as well.
So this hotel ended up being quite a let down. The hotel is supposed to be a four star hotel and is in the most expensive part of Dusseldorf. On arrival the hotel, or rather my room wasn't clean and two days into my stay after two room service cleans, I still found hairs and such in the bathroom (see pictures) that I can assuredly confirm could no way be mine. I also had a night where I was extremely ill. I can only deduce from the food at the hotel as that day everything I ate came from the hotel. They are also very stingy with room extras. They refused to replace the complimentary water in the room on subsequent days even though the day rate each day is the same saying that they only give a bottle of water for free per stay. After a heated discussion explaining this isn't acceptable given the standard the hotel is supposed to be and the fact that the each day costs as much as the previous, they agreed to give me an extra bottle. I certainly wouldn't stay here again and am sure you could find a better hotel for the same price or cheaper in the surrounding or neighbouring area.
I stayed here on my own and while the staff were friendly and efficient my stay was horrendous. I could here every sound/movement on the corridor and in rooms beside me. The turning on of taps, showers and flushing of toilets. At 6.50am someone was vomiting in a toilet beside me. On checkout I told the receptionist to which he replied oh la la and that was it. I paid €156.60 without breakfast for the privilege. NEVER AGAIN.
The hotel lobby is quiet grand and makes you feel welcome. The receptionist was efficient which made her appear unfriendly but not rude. The room was spacious with comfy beds and a good view towards Konigsallee. The breakfast buffet had everything you would expect with hot and cold plates but you had to hunt for you own seats and I took the staff a while to clean away other guests dishes so it was hard to know if tables were available. The only other down side was the pipes in the bathroom were noisy in the middle of the night and it sounded like someone had snuck in and was peeing in our toilet. Don’t let this put you off. The hotel was well situated and great for a lot of the tourist stuff nearby.
