Leonardo Royal Hotel Düsseldorf Königsallee

The best part of this hotel is the location with easy accessibility to city center and any other location. Both underground trams and on ground trams offer easy commute to anywhere in the city. Altstadt/Old town is a few meters walk and hosts a lot of good restaurants to get a glimpse of the culture/party life in Dusseldorf.

Overall, a good hotel. Great location, only a short walk from Railway station (or a good service tram) and close to Aldstadt and attractions. I had an Executive room which was big and clean, good bed and shower. Staff were generally friendly and efficient. The price/value was good and there was a good breakfast with plenty of choice. However, I do not know what I did to annoy the maid. She never once topped up my coffee/milk in room, I had to ask at the bar for some, my only Negative.

Great location, very good breakfast, small room. The staff at the reception was insufficient. They were typically polite, but all the times I asked for information about events, transportation etc it was obvious they were not happy to spend time doing the job of a concierge (the hotel has no concierge). The purpose of my visit was to attend a congress which was taking place at the university. There were 4 employees at the reception when I asked were is the bus stop to the university, and only one of them had an answer for me which was to go at an underground station which was 8 minutes walking in the rain, to take a particular line because this was the only that could take me to the university. Two days later I found by accident that there were other 2 lines of the underground, that l could catch from a underground station just 10 seconds from the hotel and take me also directly to the University. I wonder: if they don't know their job why don't they shut the fack up?

Clean, nice, very good breakfast. I would recommend an update to the TV Grundig from the room. I wanted to play some movies from my portable HDD - it was not visible in the "media" menu of the TV. I took an USB stick from nearby Saturn - it was visible, but the movies couldn't play. I should have been bought a chromecast or a miniport-hdmi cable for my laptop too solve the issue, but I didn't had time. I didn't asked at the reception for a solution - but I hope they will take this feedback into consideration. In the other hotels from the same range I didn't experimented this issue with the TV. And one more remark - I would improve the heating system as well. I had the chance to be in DUS during some extra-winter days during the spring time. The air conditioned system could not help too much for heating the room and the heating system was functioning only couple of hours during the evening. But once more, very nice hotel !

I stayed with my friends, the hotel so comfortable and the important for me is cleanliness, with nice staff. The breakfast is great, tasty and varies. Location also great. The wifi's speed also great.

I stayed in Leonardo Royal for two nights. First impression was great. Clean and tidy room, big and soft bed, enough space for my stuff. There were electrical sockets on both sides of bed, which is the only right and acceptable option, regardless I was alone in the room. I also liked possibility to open the window fully (because in some hotels you can only crack open the window). Now to the things I unfortunately found really disturbing. First of all, elevators! There are two main elevators and two in the middle of the halways. One of the main two did not work and the other one was super slow. And beside that, there was notice it can handle 8 persons or 640kg, but the elevator was buzzing all the time when there were barely 5 people in there. We were not 5 of 100kg, not even 5 of 80kg, now you do the math. Let's just say, that we can overlook the main lifts. The second day of my staying neither the "halway lifts" didn't work! I took the stairs 3 times from 7th floor, and it wasn't pleasant. Now I feel I must compliment something, so I will praise the staff. They are very nice, ready to help and they are talking great English! Next flaw: One eavning I wanted to take nice, long bath (to calm myself because of elevators :p ), so I filled the tub. And guess what... the water was leaking through thightened drain.. so I find myself in empty bathtub in 10 minutes. Let's go on.. I should mention free fitness and sauna usage. I went in the fitness and it was very small for this kind of hotel, only one running track and only one bicycle. I was lucky it wasn't busy. Overall, the hotel is great, also good breakfast and cool location.

Having had enough of hotels in Cologne massively hiking prices for events at Koelnmesse, we decided to stay in Dusseldorf this year, and chose this hotel due to it proximity to the station. The rooms were huge, staff friendly and location great.

Travelled on Christmas day with both our elderly mums, upon arrival there seemed to be some confusion regarding our booking, the hotel had us down for three rooms for the first night and only two rooms for the following four..we repeatedly told them that we only required two rooms for all five nights and they assured us that we weren't to worry and it would get sorted out!!!! It didn't get sorted and after a very lengthy argument on reception on the day of check out, we had to leave it unresolved as we were in danger of being late to the airport. After lots of emails, phone calls and letters, we are still very unhappy and we will never return, the Receptionist could also benefit from a Customer relations course, but maybe that's too late!!!!

I stayed three nights.Nice and clean hotel. Friendly staffs. good Breakfast but they could improve. Lobby area really nice. Bar also good. Location also good. Very close to river side. If have chance will stay again.

Very nice rooms, with good views on the street. The place is 3 min from one end of Konningsalle and 10-15 min from the old city by foot. Excellent breakfast, but did not have the opportunity to try the restaurant. The room charges depend on the season, they are in the medium to high range, but fair for the city standards.
