Stayed here on a stag do with 24 of us with 4 people in 6 rooms. No reports of thefts etc. Although no safes meant our money was hidden in socks etc which isn't ideal. Room done its job for the few nights was clean and spacious. It was a 10min walk to Altstadt which is where all the bars are (they don't like groups of English lads so break up into 3/4's when entering). The breakfast isn't worth getting up for - head to the Irish pubs for that. The Friday night was decent over there, the Saturday was full of locals so hardcore German music was being played in most bars and on the Sunday all the bars shut at 12am.... so see your night Dolce Vita (google it) you'll not be disappointed..... If your considering Dusseldorf for a stag - go to Prague instead - offers so much more things to do, groups are tolerated and drinks are 5 times cheaper.
Stayed here on a football/stag weekend and didn't expect the Ritz due to the price. Rooms were very basic and could have done with a bit of a revamp, but the worst part was they didn't have a safe. Our group had booked three rooms and every room had money and items disappear during the times we were out. The hotel staff didn't want to know when told , I can only assume it was the cleaners or other hotel staff. I will not be revisiting, we thought the rooms were cheap but when you take into account the money stolen , not so cheap.
Recently stayed here on a stag do and it was a nice enough hotel for what we wanted, and the breakfast was lovely and the staff seemed nice. But on the first night I got back and 60 euro had been took out my bag and on the second night a friend had 50 English pounds took out his bag, when we told the hotel about it they implied that we had lost it and that not much would be done. We also had loose change taken, not the end of the world but it's the principle.
ideal hotel for our weekend 15 blokes on a stag/football trip booked bed and breakfast witch was okay nothing fancy the only negative was we had a watch and money taken from 3 of the 4 rooms , staff not really interested on this matter although helpful on any other matter . if you use this hotel be careful with your valubles
Looking for a place to stay with the four of us, not too far from the Dusseldorf airport, we found this place which had a four people bedroom for a very reasonable price. After having taken out our bags, we found a parking spot close by (parking garages were closed in the weekend). The place is located close to a lot of Asian restaurants. Try Tang Wang e.g. We left too early to try the breakfast but the room was clean, ok bathroom, enough space for the four of us and there are bars and restaurants close by. The airport was about 20 minutes away, but it was early morning and no traffic..
I visited Germany with my partner last week and we stayed here for two nights. Easy to find, conveniently placed, and centrally located. Our room was about €70 a night and was much larger than we expected: it had a separate kitchenette and was more, like a small apartment. This would be great for anybody wishing to self cater. Also a good TV, warm heater etc. Also clean and tidy. Breakfast was good; continental and lots of it. The staff were helpful and friendly, especially given our rather poor German :) The only thing I would say is that there weren't a lot of staff around, so if you're looking for accommodation with lots of hosting, this isn't the place for you. Overall a good experience.
Had a weekend with a couple of mates in this region of Germany and stayed here for one night. Really can't find any faults with the place for what we wanted- comfortable beds, good city centre location, clean (good shower rooms), and friendly reception staff that speak English. It could perhaps do with modernising if I'm going to be picky but I'd imagine most of the clientele are not coming here for a spa weekend!
a good basic hotel - simple and maybe a bit outdated however descent and very good value for money - it is located in the very interesting Asian quarter - There is no elevator -, though if you are in the fourth floor ... service is a bit distant -
City Apart Hotel is located between the main train station and the city center, shopping area and restaurants. Polite and helpful staff working for hotel however you don't need them very often because you will have a key to access to your room any time from the other door when the reception is closed. As well, the location is properly good and you don't need to ask someone for address. A simple but good quality breakfast is offered in the small lobby of the hotel.Free WiFi is available in the rooms for free. We used this hotel for one night stay on the way of our flight back to hometown via Dusseldorf.
You get what u pay for. The room was good in space and spotless clean. Truly basically furnished but it was just for the night. The reception was unprofessional but enough to fill out the registration and to get keys and wifi code. Wifi was strong and free ( room 208) around you find lots of ( Japanese ) Restaurants and Bars . Centrally located. Recommended place
