The location is great and near the old own and shopping area. The service excellent. The rooms large and the decor and facilities excellent. First class hotel . The guest area is great with snacks and drinks available
Great five star hotel in the centre of the City, super rooms and excellent service. I have stayed here five times now and will be staying again in October whilst attending an Exhibition. Really great bar and atmosphere, good cocktails. There are not many five star hotel I return to as it's always good to try others but this is so good I will never change hotels in Dusseldorf
A hotel from 1800's (!) destoyed and reconstructed several times - I would bet that they made it even better on each one. It's hard to find something to complain, maybe could sound too classical and too luxurious if you are too minimalist. But everything made with a fine taste which comes only with years and years of heritage. The service is great and is also very well located.
The Breidenbacher Hof seems to be the top Hotel in Dusseldorf. Newly renovated a couple of years ago, the rooms appear traditional but equipped with new technology such as touch screensasf. The client oriented staff made my stay special.
It was bliss to return to the beautiful lobby of the hotel on my third stay at this property, the opulent design enhanced with a fresh refurbishment. The reception staff were polite and attentive, but, again, implored me to upgrade to a Deluxe room, which was quite annoying. This time I actually decided not to, as I wanted to evaluate the Superior room in this hotel. The Superior room accommodation was spacious and tastefully decorated. The bed was very comfortable with high thread-count sheets. The air-conditioning controls were effective and able to maintain cold temperatures in the summer, rare in this region. The bathroom had a separate bathtub and shower, single sink, toilet and bidet. The toiletries were from L’Occitane, in the evening, the housekeeping even stocked the bathroom with facemasks and small tubes of hand cream. The wifi was slow, but complimentary, with a high-speed option available for an additional fee. The minibar is stocked with complimentary soft drinks and beer. There is a Krups expresso machine. Guests can enjoy complimentary refreshments, biscuits and fruit in the Capella Living Room. Unfortunately, on this stay I did not have the chance to patronize the restaurant. The hotel is perfectly located at the start of the Königsalle, a 3-minute walk from the Altstadt, which is ideal for shopping and dining. I hope to return to the Breidenbacher Hof on future visits to Düsseldorf. During my stay, I paid €370 per night, although not the most affordable option in the city, this property brings assured excellence and an unrivalled location.
I stayed before in other hotel when attending Euroshop years ago. Since it's a long journey, I told myself to find other hotel to stay that will really make me feel like HOME and imagine I'm going to stay for 5 nights. Check and review hotels and finally Breidenbacher Hof. All staff, as in all of them, were very friendly and upon arrival, we are welcomed with their warm smile a big smiley hello. From the lobby, to our hotel room, to the Brasserie, it's just WOW. Breakfast were GREAT! We'll surely be back. This is THE hotel that should not be only recommended but HIGHLY to be recommended. Thank you again to all staff who made our stay really like HOME.
I have always enjoyed my stay at the Capella hotel in Sentosa, Singapore and was happy that we were going to Düsseldorf and they had a Capella hotel. Once again, it did not disappoint. Plus we had our almost one year old son with us. I traveled a lot in the past for work and pleasure and have to say traveling with an infant is a whole different ball game. Upon arrival, the staff greeted us nicely. The hotel is very secure where in order to enter the elevator to the rooms, you had to enter through their living room which is only accessible by a room key. Inside the living room you can have drinks and relax. As I booked through Amex Fine Hotels and Resorts program we got an upgrade to a Capella suite, which was great with a baby as it has a kitchenette. We had requested a humidifier in the room which was there when we arrived. The crib soon arrived with wonderful amenities for my son. The room was very spacious with a separate living room, which is a must when you travel with a baby. We had a balcony which we didn't use but had a nice view of the city. The room also had a Bose system which I was able to use as I bring along CDs to play for my son. One of the best things about this visit and the hotel was that when you travel with a child, sometimes you require entertainment other than toys, books, and iPads. I brought a google Chromecast with me this time as an experiment to see if it would work. I called downstairs and they sent up the IT guy immediately and he helped set up my chromecast so my son can watch cartoons streamed from my iPhone and iPad. It was awesome! I've been at 2 other hotels since and when I asked one hotel, they flat out said no. This situation here clearly shows that the Breidenbacher Hof hotel is truly a five star hotel that goes above and beyond to please their guests. This is what separates a five star hotel from others. We hope to return to the Breidenbacher soon. Düsseldorf was a pleasant surprise to me. I never knew that the shopping was so great and that it had such great architecture.
We stayed in #407 in this beautiful and luxurious hotel . Where you can find real luxury services and strong staff working like a bees for your delicious honey to eat . Their breakfast are perfect ( eggs Benedict ) thats my order always The concierge are super ( specially Mr. Simon & Mrs. Sabena ) they are Tom Cruise in mission impossible. They can do any thing to you professionally. I was astonished and amazed . Thank you so much for your caring, kindness , and most of all hospitality We had a great time. Definitely if we thinking to come to Düsseldorf for a break I will stay in the proud Capella chain hotel ( breidenbacher hof )
I have stayed a the Breidenbacher several times now while attending Euroshop. The location is fantastic. You are only 100ft. from the subway entrance. Just down the block from the hotel is the old section of town with dozens of restaurants, pubs and shops all within walking distance. This is our go to place whenever staying is Dusseldorf.
I checked in and the receptionist too k me to the room to show me everything, electric blinds etc, but was basically excellent personal service if you have been travelling and are tired when you arrive you are looked after. Room was big and very nice. Used gym which is small but sufficient to keep fitness going and used spa and relaxed by pool, all underground but nice and relaxing. Relaxed in living area and caught up with things before meeting next day and refreshments freely available. This area perfect for meetings as enough space for privacy or great for social. Ate in the restaurant and had an excellent entrecote steak with asian vegetables in a broth with gruyere (it worked) and salad with goats cheese with almonds, for 45 euros I think this is great value for money for the quality and standard of hotel that it is. Slept really well lovely bed. Breakfast I had bircher muesli, smoked salmon, ham, some cold rare beef and oysters (sparkling wine available but I was not drinking as working and not sure if it is champagne or sekt as I did not check), and some fruit. All juices available. At 44 euros this is also great value for the quality and variety all is available and lots if dishes can be prepared in the kitchen. I have stayed at steigenberger hotels several times around Germany but the Breidenbacher was better. Unfortunately I was travelling alone but this would be a perfect hotel for a pamper weekend with the wife.
