Travelling with friends and spent one night in Hotel Lero in Dubrovnik. The accommodation was great, location good- takes about 20 minutes to get to the city center on foot, if you want something quicker there is a bus stop in front. There were 17 of us at the check-in and it went great. Waiters at the hotel restaurant are a little bit clumsy, cannot remember orders and we had a weird situation with the bartender that one night. He told us he cannot serve us because he is about to close the bar (did not warn us about this) and then went on to serve another gentleman who showed up a minute after that. Really rude and unprofessional.
Good service and great breakfast options. Although Dinner was very meat orientated so not great for vegan/vegetarians, besides from that had nothing negative to say. Great rooms and great staff aswell.
If you are looking for a nice place with comfortable rooms, good food and in a location that allows you to see the sights at a good price, you really can't go wrong. Although it's not in the old city as such, it really is close enough and is certainly not inconvenient! We stayed in room 464 and found it great. We were facing the front but set back from the road so was not noisy, and the sea was visible from the window. The hotel was clean and comfortable - I'm guessing recently refurbished as much of it looked very smart and new. The walk to the old town was perfectly fine - it is around 20 mins but is easy to follow (one road all the way), mostly all downhill and you have some great views over the cliffs and coast which make it worthwhile (pics attached). We got taxi's back up (approx. 60kn for a taxi, 20kn for an uber) as it would be nearly all uphill and after being out all day, it seemed the best option! For the price and convenience of the hotel I was really impressed - staying any nearer the old town is likely to be far more expensive and for the room, breakfast etc I really think it's a great place to stay. The staff were friendly and helpful - we fancied a wine tasting and when our chosen option was closed, they quickly looked into and arranged another for us. Breakfast was great - plenty on offer and a good standard. All in all a great base to explore the city from..!
The accommodation is not great. My bed is not very comfortable. The room is pretty small. All negative things. Good thing is we have tea :) And the food is nice. Not the best hotel I’ve been to. Just look at the sink :(
VALUE: - very clean rooms; - Wi-Fi speedy everywhere; - kind and helpful staff (but, only one speaks italian very well); - very good breakfasts and dinners. DEFECT: - Old Town at 25 minutes of walk; - moquettes in the rooms (allergy!); - the windows of back rooms (third floor, too) have a rock very high at only 4 meters of distance.
Excellent hotel, superb staff, great food, everything is top notch. The room is large and the staff keeps them clean. The food in the restaurant is varied and top notch and the staff. Only the bus parking is missing!
Nice hotel, about 30 min walk to the old town, easy to find, friendly helpful staff, about 10 min walk to a rhe beach. Good breakfast, it can get crowded in popular times. Big comfortable room, free parking.
Staying at Hotel Lero will be an unforgettable experience but unfortunately for a bad reason. My friends and I stayed here for 4 nights. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel due to the untrustworthy cleaning staff. The cleaning staff entered our room when the ‘do not disturb’ sign was on our door on different 4 occasions when my friends and I went down stairs for breakfast (we were still in the hotel at this time). During this time they stole around 2000 kunas from our bags. We reported this to the hotel and the police. The manager was helpful enough to exclude 2000 kunas from our bill but, the cleaning staff who stole the money have not been fired and are still working at the hotel. It could be argued that we should have put our money in the safe but, the cleaning staff had absolutely no right to enter our room when the ‘do not disturb’ sign was on our door. They clearly had an agenda to take our money every time we went down for breakfast. This is very unfortunate as the hotel is clean, in a good location and serve good breakfast, but it would be a big risk to stay at this hotel.
We stayed here in October. Our room was spacious and clean. It was nice having a bath but it was a strangely little bath that was hard to get in and out of due to the position of the shower screen. The staff in the hotel were friendly and helpful. The food at breakfast was particularly good. The evening meal was good but there wasn't a always a big choice for the size of the hotel. We ate out a couple of times in the evening. The hotel is positioned about 20 minutes walk down hill to the old town but there is a bus stop if required.
The staff here are brilliant. Always friendly and helpful. The hotel is modern and the rooms are a decent size and well equipped. The breakfast caters for all, good healthy options as well as cooked. The location is perfect, not too far from Old Town and quite close to the port and Bellview beach. It's a very well run 4* hotel.
