My wife and I stayed for three nights here in June. Our flight arrived early in the day and were able to take an Aircoach here and leave our suitcases by the reception counter. We then took the DART and explored Dun Laoghaire for a few hours before we returned at check-in time. The staff members were always courteous and professional, and happily answered any questions we had. As some reviewers have noted, this isn't a brand new building, but nothing seemed shabby. Our room was basic but clean. There was no safe in our room but I was able to lock up my laptop at the reception desk while we were in town. There's a pub on site with friendly bartenders, and I recommend the breakfast --- 10 euros per person, but it's an all you can eat hot/cold buffet with a good selection, constantly refreshed by a hard-working crew; definitely worth the price. Transportation is pretty convenient, if you don't mind researching a bit. Dublin city buses and airport coaches pick up right in front of the hotel, and the DART train is a fantastic way to go not only to city centre (15 minute walk, 20 minute ride), but south to Bray and north to Howth. Overall, a pleasant stay in a safe, largely residential location.

Hotel was clean and quite. Front desk staff was very nice and accommodating.

It was close via airport bus but very old and kind of dirty .

Good value for the price for a middle of the road hotel. Decent location in South Dublin with a bus stop right in front. Hotel staff was great! I had lots of questions and they had lots of answers. They helped plan outings and gave lots of helpful tips on tours etc.. They also arranged taxi's when needed, and let us check in before check-in time as our flight arrived early. There's also a pub/restaurant in the hotel with good breakfasts. Also, there's free parking. We kept our rental parked most of the time as the public transportation was easy to use. No complaints.

Frankly this was only a place to sleep. I would never in a million years being my wife there. Despite the picture, this is an old hotel, plus 30-years. It is definitely in the 'Limited Service' category, despite the fact that it has a restaurant, meeting rooms and a bar. (This is based on the size and the fittings in the rooms - which after-all is that you are renting.) The rooms were small as were the bathrooms, the towels were thin and few between, etc. It was designed in a different era, and given the size (of the rooms) there is little, in my professional opinion, that can now be done. Hints of its age were such things as the bathroom sink was set in a marble slab - completely out of character for today. The beds, well let's just say my 12-year old has a bigger single than what was in this room. Now I don't mind paying for internet access, but when the accommodation is on the [*] side of the equation, I think it should be free!In a medium rise building the lack of sprinklers is always an issue. Retrofitting would be very difficult, but as a traveler I always want to come home. It was the smell of smoking in the corridors that got me. It wafted under the door and I swear one day there was someone smoking in my bathroom! I believe it was a leaky vent that went along with the very noisy bathroom fan! So it this room could really talk you just might overhear.... "Excuse me Sir" the room would say, "Could I have a new bed." Howls of deep laughter would follow, "Right" [...] would say, "In our next design."So as I started, it was just a place to sleep outside the city center in a residential area close to Booterstown and Blackrock.

Really well located hotel overlooking Dublin Bay. Amazing view with the most beautiful sunrise i have ever seen. Rooms are spacious and spotless. The DART train and bus is a stone' s throw away. Some fabulous restaurants down the road in Blackrock and Monkstown. The staff are friendly and the bar is lovely.

This was a nice, quiet place, somewhat old but comfortable, and with stunning views of Dublin Bay (ask for a room facing the bay). The location's a bit far from the center and there's not much around the area except a small grocery next store, though the hotel has its own restaurant. But conveniently there's a bus stop right outside with several lines going to the city center (Nassau Street, Trinity College), a ride of about a 15 or 20 minutes.

The first room was not very nice but we came in at eight thirty in the mourning and our sea side room wasnt ready yet. They switched us the next day to a very nice room with a very nice view of the sea.The only problem that I and my daughter incountered was that although friendly the staff didnt really know the area. If you work in a tourist city you should try to know about the surrounding area.Enough of that. The pub was pretty the hotel was lovely the people were nice but very busy.If I were to visit Dublin again I would stay closer to Oconnell street,Because if you dont rent a car your constantly catching buses the bus system is awesome loved the hop on off bus taking you to 24 different historic and interesting sights.I would like to say to the hotel to please remove and replace the curtains that have holes in them the first room we had gave off a totally different vibe than the second. Also wait upon people quicker in the pub.
