Our room was very small and cozy for the two of us. It was a little hot in the room and no thermostat to adjust. But it served its purpose. Bathroom was clean, but water was weak when you took a shower.

We were very surprised with this hotel given other reviews. My friend's bed had a stain from a bodily function on it. In addition, that same bed had a sharp coil sticking out from the side. Beds were uncomfortable as well. The TV was basically a computer panel stuck crookedly on the wall. Additionally, I was extremely ill one night and the staff was not particularly helpful. It was just a bad experience. We were in 2 other cities in Ireland and had much more positive losing. This was just a disappointment.

Overall good experience. Parking is off site and you pay for it. Breakfast is an upgrade, not included. Staff was super friendly.

The staff was really incredible, including Maria. I stayed there twice and she did not have to ask my name on my return visit. Very personable and welcoming.

Breakfast buffet was ok but I'd go elsewhere for the money

The staff was extremely helpful and hospitable. The rooms were up-to-date and comfortable. Great location in a beautiful neighborhood at Merrion Square.

The hotel is in a nice location. The staff was very nice. The room was a little small, but it suited our needs for two nights. I would stay here again.

The hotel was beautiful and situated in a great location for what we wanted to do. The staff were so friendly and helpful and were always ready to help with anything we needed. Such a great experience, will likely stay with them again if we come back!

The O'Callaghan Mont Clare Hotel was a very nice location.

Hotel was very nice, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Only small complaint was that water pressure in the room was pretty low, though this may be a city regulation.

This hotel is a great value, in good location, has friendly & helpful staff, very clean. Only complaint is lack of free Wi-Fi. Happy to recommend!

They could not find reservation. Night manager did not seem to know how to find reservation. Finally received out two rooms. Day staff wonderful.

The O'Callaghan Monte Clare hotel, overall, was very pleasant for the 4 days and 3 nights we were in Dublin. The location was excellent we were within walking distance of everything! Pros: Great Staff (we had an early flight and they were able to get us checked in by 9am which was wonderful), Comfortable Beds, Clean Room and Bathroom, Windows that open, Elevator. Air Coach from the airport stops super close. Cons: No Wifi, unless you're willing to pay $$ for it. Almost no water pressure in the shower. Our window wouldn't close all the way. The carpet is getting old and the television wasn't always working. Food there is expensive I recommend walking around the corner and choosing one of the many cafes.

Shower was either extremely hot or cold, room was hit and stuffy milk with coffee was bad

Grrat location but everything else wasnt great. Shower was awful, either freezing cold or extremely hot, milk provided was old, room was stuffy and hot.

A friend and I spent two weeks in Ireland, and the Mont Claire was our base of operations for our last few nights in Dublin before our departure. We arrived after a long night drive from the west coast. While the staff was nice about us coming in late, parking our car overnight would end up costing us €20, and the lot was a few blocks away. While the decor won't win any awards, the room was clean and set up in a quiet part of the hotel. The problem arose when we tried to access the hotel's WIFI: outrageously expensive. They wanted €15 for 250 KB of data. 250 *kilobytes*. That's barely enough data to sync one's email. Perhaps an internet connection isn't so high on the list of other travelers, but... dang. Needless to say, we had to find some other way to stay in touch with our families.

The room was small yet very cozy and beautiful. It was close to quite a few restaurants and a shirt walk from Suffok St. I would happily stay there again.

The staff is very friendly and helpful! Unfortunately we had a flat tire on our rental car about 5 minutes into our drive to our hotel. After we walked to our hotel the front desk manager, Kris, helped us find a tire iron and get on our way. Our stay was wonderful too, very nice place.

We stayed in room 252, and we could hear every sound from the street below, including frequent busses and the pedestrian crossing light beeping all night long. The main room and closet were extremely small, and we were tripping over our suitcases. The bathroom was also small, with only enough space to hang 1 towel, even though the room was intended for 2 people. A simple towel hook on the back of the door would have been an easy fix. Wireless internet access was slow as molassses, unreliable, and expensive. The location was excellent, within walking distance to most of Dublin's main points of interest.
