Staff were not professional, but not offensive, great room and ensuite, terrible to be woken up by construction at 6:30am, although I'm trying to positive, I wouldn't stay again. Staff didn't communicate with each other regarding bills, overall I wouldn't say the staff were actually managed.
We booked to stay at Lotus Hotel and Apartments from 30th march-1 April 2017. After checking our accounts we noticed that the hotel had taken money for our booking as well as an additional 2872AED. When we queried with their accounts dept. we were told we were mistaken and they had not taken any additional money. We then forwarded the bank statement, highlighting the erroneous amount and were still told we were mistaken. Eventually, a senior member of staff in accounts discovered that they had charged our debit card number for another person’s stay at the hotel!! They then promised to arrange the refund. We still have not received any refund, nearly two months later! We should have seen this as a sign of bad things to come. When we arrived at the hotel to check-in at the stipulated check-in time, we were kept waiting for over an hour because the room was not ready. Eventually arriving at the room, having paid for a stay for three adults, there was one towel, missing crockery and cutlery, the door to the first bedroom didn't close, there was a terrible smell in the room and the corridor outside the room as if something had died in the vents and the toilet in the second bathroom was leaking water all over the floor. I brought this up with the front desk, they immediately sent maintenance to fix the door but when I pointed out the bathroom leak to the maintenance staff, he said , “no problem!” and put a rug down over the pool of water! That was the solution! Eventually the pool of water spread from the bathroom into the second bedroom, soaking the carpet. I brought all this up with front desk a second time and requested to move rooms. They were good enough to arrange this which I was grateful for. When our stay ended and it was time to check out, it took OVER TWO HOURS to have our room checked and bring our bags down. Every time I asked how much longer I was simply told 5 minutes. We were treated as if we didn't exist while waiting for our check-out. I've seen many positive reviews on tripadvisor for this hotel, but I won't be back and I will advise everyone I can not to give their business to this hotel.
Excellent place.. A little out the way of the public beach area and marina mall, but not to bad if you are an active sort and don't mind a walk, or just jump in a taxi.. breakfast was adequate for us, omelette mainly most days cooked to order. Eat outside overlooking marina. No complaints at all. Nice spacious rooms (2 Adults, 2 kids in a 2 bed apartment).
My friend booked a 2 bed apt and I arrived a couple of days later . Upon arrival we were told by the hotel that only one Person was on the booking and I was not allowed in . The guy behind the counter lied and was so rude unhelpful that it shocked me to the core that such staff exist in Dubai hotels . At no point did he try to resolve or help me . He refused for us to speak to a manager and even refused to give his full name to me for future reference . To add insult to it all he told us we are liers and trying to get a free room when we already had the booking paid for 2 bed apt . Never use this place again . I have posted on my social media accounts and have had a few people complain about rude attitude of this particular individual .
Got here early and staff had zero interest in helping me get an early check in. I offered to pay another night and still nothing. Said it didn't work with their cleaning rota!! Pool is tiny. 5 sun loungers. Decent location but apart from that awful.
We received a warm welcome from the friendly and helpful staff when we visited Lotus Hotel Apartments for the weekend. The hotel is in a good location with a lovely pool, which provides shade in the afternoon when the sun is really strong. However towels at the pool were in short supply. There is a well stocked large supermarket just across the road which is really handy. The apartment was comfortable with a lovely view of The Marina and 2 bedrooms with ensure bathrooms and a kitchen. It was possible to sleep 6 but there were just 3 of us. On arrival we only had 3 drinking glasses and 2 towels. Reception soon rectified this by bringing another glass and one more towel. But considering the Lotus claims to be a boutique hotel I would have expected better nicer fluffy towels, at least 2 each and not rationed and threadbare,bedroom slippers. I think the hotel is expensive considering the lack of comfort. Although the apartment was clean and tidy there was a very ominous odour like a hamster cage when we came back in each evening. All in all we felt a little disappointed with the standard bug the location and friendly staff were some consolation.
I booked this hotel because it was one of the cheapest in the Marina area. It's a good location, clean, friendly and the rooms were ok. It's not going to excite anyone but it'll provide you with good value and a good view over the marina.
we booked the apartments so that all family members could stay together as we were attending wedding. Staff very unaccommadating refused family member to come up & visit. Had to pay for breakfast when no need as they could have taken off day we were leaving.
The location is great, overviewing the Marina and a fairly short walk to JLT metro station. It's close to a well resourced supermarket with very good quality produce. The room is clean, with pleasant decor, and the bed comfortable. The bathroom nice and clean. It has a nice though small swimming pool also overlooking the Marina. The price is reasonable. All in all, a good experience.
I stayed here for 2 nights with my partner on a 10 day holiday in Dubai. We had to book somewhere last minute for 2 nights & this came in at reasonable price. The apartments are ok for the price but I would not return. The bedrooms are very dark & feel gloomy. I struggled to get ready in the room as it was so dark. Bathroom wasn't very clean. There was handprints on the glass partition between the shower & kitchen. The towels were very well used & frayed. The apartment had a constant damp/musty smell in it. Reception staff weren't the most helpful or polite. The coffee table in living room has a sheet of glass on top of it which is not secured, this moved about easily & actually cut my leg on it, be careful. On a positive note location is good, very close to marina. The pool is nice, lovely view of marina from the pool. This is ideal if you want to do Dubai & be central, but on a real budget. No frills stay.
