We stayed at this hotel last year so decided to stay again this year. The hotel is very good but starting to look a bit tired in places. Our bathroom was a bit tired looking. We were in room 310 on the 3rd floor which overlooked Al Riqqa Rd which we were happy with. It also overlooked the childrens fairground which starts up at about 7pm and goes on till around midnight. We didn't mind this but if you are a light sleeper the noise from the dodgem cars may keep you awake. The staff are very friendly and the housekeeper who looked after our room 310 was brilliant. He was always smiling and ready to help and he really made a difference to us.The bed in our room was HUGE. It must have been 7 foot wide. This hotel is central for the Union Metro station and the shops and restaurants on Al Riqqa Rd. The hotel restaurant does a varied self service breakfast. (The fairground is only for small children)
Smooth check-in, friendly and helpful staff. Rooms are spacious and offer minibar and television - unfortunately our remote control for the tv was broken and the fridge/minibar did not cool, but apart from this the room was fine. Wi-fi worked fine 90% of the time. Breakfast buffet had a large variety of food and even offered the "Omelet man" which would prepare your eggs according to your wishes. Neat little swimming pool on the top, not too big - but not a problem as it was never full during our stay. 9 sunbeds up on the rooftop, might get crowded during peak season. Good location - within walking distance of a large supermarket, the metro station "Union" and all the shops at Baniyas Square and Al Sakhba Road - close to the airport as well. We had room 106, and as there were soccer matches on the pitches outside of the hotel every night around midnight this gave a little bit of noise-so if you are very sensitive, a room on the other side (un-even numbers) might be better.
I booked the delight hall for my daughter's baptism last april 6. It was indeed a success, because of their great menus. The foods are all delicious and mouth watering. I gave 4 star because the last star is for the air-conditioning. It's a bit hot.
Rooms were disguating. Pee stains on the toilet seat. Room was damp and smelled. No hot water in the room, when i phoned to ask about it they said theyd check it out but obviusly never did. i asked for a wake up call at 4.30 which was 20 minutes late. I asked if we could get out hotel to airport transport earlier than the first suggested time and they said they couldnt, instead we left 10 minutes late from the hotel. Staff were rude and not helpful. Do not stay here
The hotel is situated in front of the Al Rigga metro station and is within walking distance. The rooms are spacious and clean, if you are not happy about something the staff will do their best to remedy it whether it is the size/condition of the room or any aspect of the customer service.
while under normal standards, the Landmark Grand is not a five-star hotel, but it was five-star for me. The hotel room as spotless, spacious, and well appointed. (By the way, the housekeepers are all male.) The hotel staff are all gracious. The location is just three blocks from the Rigga metro station. Although the area is a bit grimy, it's lively through the evening and totally safe. The roof-top pool area is small, but very nice. At about CAD 100 a night, I found the Landmark Grand to be great value. Highly recommended.
First impressions were very good with a complimentary airport transfer. Its not very far from airport but we arrived in middle of night and there is a surcharge in Dubai for a taxi taken from the airport. Check in was good too, we were asked for the type of room we preferred, twin or double and the whole process was quick. We were asked to pay the tourist tax on check in...doesn't matter it has to be paid anyway. Our room was on 6th floor on back of hotel. Actually the hotel is the wrong way around. The standard rooms are on the back and have the better view over a small amusement park and then onto Al Rigga Road. The Junior suites however are on the front of the building and over look the buildings on opposite side of road. Neither the fridge or the tv in our room was working on arrival but a phone call to reception and both pieces of equipment were swapped within half an hour so no problem there either. The bathroom was a shower over bath arrangement with a shower curtain. All were clean and the usual free toiletries were there. The room featured a bidet, unusual for UAE. We prebooked breakfast and the choice was good. Hot and cold selection and eggs cooked as ordered. There is a pool on the roof, simple but large enough to swim. The hotels location is excellent. Just a short walk to Union station where both lines of the metro are available and Union bus station is also situated.. A word of warning here not just for this hotel but anywhere in Dubai..USE THE FOOTBRIDGE or WAIT FOR THE CROSSING LIGHTS TO SHOW GREEN..people were being fined 200 dirhams for crossing road on red whilst we were there !!! obviously not the hotels problem but you should be aware because you will have to cross busy roads while you stay at this hotel although the hotel itself is not situated on one. Al Rigga road has lots of amienities and all of the fast food and some better restaurants are the just a short walk from hotel. Also the large ALGhurair mall is very close with the usual selection of international name shops. We are in Dubai three or four times a year and this was our first stay at Landmark Grand. We will very likely stay again.
First, the hotel itself was a normal hotel for a long layover stay. Beds average (cots super hard), old/rusted bathrooms, nice pool on the roof, staff are pleasant but wasn't prepared for a trio reservation (isn't that why we pay higher charge to have a 3rd person?). Location is great, 5 min walk to metro. Mall nearby with restaurants open late for a midnight arrival. This is why I marked it low. I discovered when we check out that I was charged way too much and the quality of the property is not worth the costs. I would not consider it a luxury hotel for $250/night. I'm not sure how prices are set when using a booking site... We did not book through Landmark Grand probably should have. I got ripped off by someone... Here is the example... we booked 8 days out from our stay so sort of late but not last minute. Yes, it is peak season in late January, understandably the PGA tour was in town the following weekend so I would expect an increase. However, we paid $250 USD for a standard room with a (rock hard!) cot in the corner to make it a triple--no breakfast. When we looked at the website the day we checked out and again a week later, the hotel was offering EXECUTIVE suites (2 rooms!) for $220 and it said our standard two twin room + cot was actually $108 USD. Why the expensive mark up? That alone is a huge red flag! I didn't have time to do more research on this until after we paid... Be super careful about who you book through!
Staff are so friendly and helpful. very delicious and enough meals. clean at all times.the hotel is just a few minutes drive form the Airport. The best part is also that they very close in just a walk away distance to the town centre.
Nice hotel closed to the airport with large room. Breakfast is simple with salt and sugar food. Front desk is friendly and helpful. You have plenty restaurant surrounding the hotel. Just stayed a single night before continuing my journey.
