I stayed for over a week while at the UCI Paracycling World Cup. Nice facility in a park like setting. rooms with nice balconies, indoor swimming pool large outdoor pool with a water slide, mini golf, bikes for rent , bowling alley, spa etc. Well kept. Patio bar really nice. Ate at the restaurant and I think it depends who is cooking schnitzel was good, ribs as well. Breakfast limited choice no variation in menu.
Our first time at this hotel. Lots of amenities we didn't use (Spa,swimming pools), The rooms were spacious, extra pillows were available, Patio doors leading to a balcony with canopy. Food was nice in the restaurant. Had a game of ten pin bowling after dinner, different and entertaining. It was excellent location for the TT Circuit. All the staff were friendly and spoke English
it was very nice, food was good, swimming pool ok, service was less, they did not notice, your are there, or you needed something. But the rest was ok hotel. the wood in surrounding was a beautyfull for bike.
Stopped here over night while on business in Emmen. From the outside the hotel looks OK until you approach closer. The hotel is very tired and is in need of a major refit. Everything seems to be unchanged from the late 1980's. I had moved to this hotel from another in Emmen as it did not have air conditioning, and this hotel did, however I was told on arrival that the air conditioning was not working in the whole hotel! The facilities on site are good, especially the pool and spa area, along with the bowling alley. The on site restaurant however is too over priced for a standard meal. I probably won't be staying here again unless the hotel has a makeover.
This is a good hotel if you visit Drenthe ornthe city Emmen. Nice bicycle tours ans walking trails. It's very relkax there. Hotel is good, nice rooms with a balcony, restaurant is good. And we've also visited the sauna. small but ok. Hotelsrooms were clean and the peole were very nice
We enjoyed our stay here. This is one of the better quality Fletcher hotels, which usually are somewhat old and tired. The hotel has many facilities, some free (like the indoor swinmming pool), some paid (like the bowling alleys). The rooms are nice, each one with its own balcony and electric sun shades - actually the first Fletcher with NFC-based room keys - no magnetic strip or chip, just hold the key in front of the lock. Real soaps and bathroom amenities, different from the dispensers you find in most other Fletchers. Nice breakfast. We did not try the restaurant for dinner. Well located for making bike trips through the nature of the Hondsrug (forests, heather fields, and country roads through the old peat-harvesting areas.
Reasonable hotel for good base price but be prepared to pay extra for any amenities including towels for the swimming pool, use of fitness center, mini golf etc... The restaurant is fair quality and reasonably priced. The grounds are nicely appointed
We've been 4-5 times here now and we love coming back for it's peaceful and lovely location, ideal for relaxing and taking off a few days of City life. We enjoy our daily visit at the Spa, we had the feeling of having the place for ourselves, because mostly we are the only ones using it when we are there. A small flaws though, the hotel lacks few amenities, there's no coffee/tea maker, slippers and bathrub for Spa costs extra. Still, it's a nice hotel worth staying for a few days.
This is a very nice hotel in a very nice location, nature wise. Plenty of opportunities for walking and biking tours. The hotel was is nice, luxurious and clean and compared to other Fletcher so called 4 star hotels this is truly 4 star. Rooms are spacious, clean, quiet and each room having their own terrace, making the evening sun easy to enjoy. Overall staff is friendly and service minded. The choice for dinner in the restaurant is rather limited but this seems to be the trend nowadays (and is understandable).
Due to the beautiful surroundings and the facilties in the hotel you have a very relaxing stay! It is perfect for a weekend out and relax in one of the suana's. You can hike or bike in the woods surrounding the hotel. The food was very nice! The restaurant inside the hotel was very good! Also all the hotel staff were very welcoming!
