The staff were great. I arrived a bit early and was able to check in. The room was clean and spacious. I slept in past breakfast but the Waffle House is right next door. I'll stay there again.

Over all the motel was good and price friendly. The big problem was dogs in the area where we were eating breakfast. I'm like pets but not in a the dinning room.

Excellent location & welcoming to traveling with a pet. Had some difficulty controlling the room temp. It seemed to be a bit too cool & we couldn't get it to change. Everything else was great.

The hotel was so nice and CLEAN. IT IS OBVIOUS THAT THE STAFF CARES. NOT LIKE THE LA QUINTA INN AND SUITES IN MONTGOMERY, ALABAMA On Carmichael Road...that was truly a horrible stay!

The staff were good. The breakfast was good. Would have been 5 stars - but, when you pay for "Pillowtop" mattresses and they are sooo old that they're too firm - forget about it... Morale of this story... just get regular mattresses & don't get your hopes up too high !

The hotel was lovely! Friendly staff, great location, room was very clean and nice as well. I'd definitely stay again. It was a little pricey though, $98 for one night.

We stayed at this Laquinta twice. Once on our way to FLorida and on the way back. The service was great, the room was very nice. The breakfast is good considering what we paid for the room. There are better breakfasts around, but not at the price of our room. Would like to have used the pool, but it was too late in the day (my choice). Our only complaint is that the second floor hallway had a faint animal smell. This hotel advertises as pet friendly, so one has to expect some of that. Our room was free of any odor. The hotel is near to many restaurants of various price ranges so there is plenty of choice. The carpet on the stairways is dirty looking. All other carpets (rooms and hallways) are clean looking. We did not try the fitness room or the pool. We would probably stay with this hotel again.

Except for the fact that there is no driveway entrance for people coming from the south, requiring you to drive past the hotel and make a U-turn to get into the driveway, and the fact that you have to drive around a Waffle House in the parking lot to reach the front door, it was a very nice hotel. I had made a prepaid reservation over the internet and arrived about 3:30 on a Saturday afternoon. The parking lot wasn't too full, so I got a good place near the building (a good thing since it as raining pretty hard), but later in the evening, the parking lot was overloaded and people were parking in the nearby shopping center. This is a five story building and the parking lot cannot hold enough cars for all the rooms. The first floor is all smoking rooms and the top four floors are all non-smoking. Dothan is one of those old-fashioned Southern towns still living in the 19th century and not yet willing to ban smoking in all public facilities the way major cities all over the country have done. But, my room was in the back, away from the highway, so it was quiet and I do not believe there was anyone in the adjacent rooms. There are elevators at both ends of the hallway. The room was clean, the king bed very nice and had at least eight pillows on it. The room came with a large screen TV with cable and free internet. The room had a large desk as well as a sofa and coffee table, a microwave and small refrigerator. There is a nice-sized closet with a mirrored door for hanging clothes and getting the luggage out of the way. The location is very convenient, at the intersection of Montgomery Highway and the Loop (Ross Clark Circle) and only a short distance from Main Street (Hwy 84). There is a shopping mall across the street (walking distance) and numerous restaurants within either walking distance or a three-to-five minute drive. There is a free breakfast provided in the lobby each morning; I typically pass on those type of things except for coffee, but for those guests needing something before heading to a business appointment or hitting the road, it is perfect. There is a Waffle House in the parking lot, literally a hundred feet from the front door, a Panera Bread next door, a McDonalds, Wendy's, Krystal, Burger King and several other places within a block, a Cracker Barrel a short distance away and numerous restaurants at every price level and type of cuisine within a mile or so. The staff was friendly and very helpful, the place was clean and everything functioned as it should. I plan to be spending a great deal of time in Dothan in the future and this is most likely the hotel to which I will return repeatedly. Room Tip: Ask for a room in the back away from the main road if you want added quiet, but even the rooms in the front are not too noisy.

This was our first stay at a la Quinta. We were impressed with the quality of the staff and rooms. The location was central to any foo or fun. We were doubly surprised that there wasn't a pet fee when we checked in. Outstanding La Quinta you just gaine a new long term customer.

Just passing through, but enjoyed our stay. Arrived after 1am and paperwork all prepared... no delays getting checked in & friendly staff. Clean room & looks like new furniture. Great breakfast.

The room was clean and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

I was in town for a weekend class at a local college and foud this hotel to be a great deal! It was closer to campus than the bigger name hotel I stayed in previously and located right in the middle of everything...movies, restaurants, mall, you name it. It was also very clean, which for me is the top consideration and the business center was very convenient. Breakfast was very good. Only thing it lacked was a flat-screen, which is very minor for me. Staff was friendly. I definitely plan to return.

My wife and I stayed two nites, and could not ask for better service.Quiet, comfortable, and clean. I would recomend this INN to any and every one.

fast check in. staff full of smiles

overnight on a long trip

After a long day of travel(450 miles) in terrible weather with 4 kids this was a perfect choice hotel to relax and get some much needed down time. The kids enjoyed the pool and I appreciated the SteakOut delivery/dinner by the pool. Quiet, restful nights sleep and a wonderful breakfast for all of us. Clean and friendly. We will stay here again and again.

We were there for the State bowling tournament.Great place to stay. Friendly and helpful staff. Great breakfast. Nice and Clean. Location great! I would definitely stay here again and would recommend to anyone. Price wasn't bad either.

I was passing thru Dothan on the way to the Gulf. I picked LaQuinta as a convenient stopping point and it was. The overall location and accommodations were good, as was the price. Conveniently located to standard chain restaurants. Friendly staff and clean room, with one exception: I had to kill two cockroaches crawling in my tub. If you can look past that, LaQuinta in Dothan was a standard, restful stay.

This hotel was nice and comfortable. Not new but clean. Friendly staff and nice breakfast. A bit noisy one night but changed rooms the next night. I was just in town for business so it was fine. Small fitness center but adequate.

The staff was great but two queen beds in one small room is a bit over crowded. The entry doors are not very good at keeping out noise so you can here doors slaming, people talking and vaccuum cleaners going during most of the hours that people are out and about. The southern hospitality was at its best and there are more restaurants to choose from than you can imagine. The Crystal River restaurant is right across the street and it is run by an impressive gentleman that was injured in the first gulf war. His stories were vere interesting and if you like fried food you will not be disappointed. I didn't know that fried green tomatos is a real thing. [...]...Victor
