rented 2 rooms, the rooms were clean and the hotel is close to public transport services, however the staff were very unfriendly and unhelpful. Will definitely not visit there gin, until the stff is trained to not be so rude and racist!!!!!
Room and bathroom were very small but clean. Bathroom is extremely out of date and needs to be updated.
There are so many things wrong with this place.1. the location ... .they claim is really easy to get downtown which isn't. 2. we spend there one night, when we checked in the ,,nice'' lady at the reception asked us if we are tourists, we were so we said yes, she didn' t said anything until we checked out, but when we did, she asked for a tourist fee that we didn t know about. she got angry when we asked where is this fee mentioned in the reservation and she start calling us names and offend us, not to mention she was racist. She couldn't fined anywhere mentioned the fee but we paid it anyway because the situation was just ridicules and embarrassing and we wanted to get out of there. 3. The room that we got for almost 150 euro was a disaster. when we got in, there were like 30 C degrees in the room, we tried to open the windows but that was not possible, one was nailed and the other one was just broken, there was quite a lot of dust all over, the bathroom door could't be shut, the shower drain was clogged, we had to stay in the water while showering, and get out of it as soon as possible to avoid the water to run over the shower tub, even so the water somehow managed to get in and the floor was disgusting. the liquid soap they have is so full of chemicals that requires a warning on the bottle ,, not allowed to be used by children'' , the carpets where stained 4. if you are there while a religious holiday you will be woken up by the church bells 5. you need the TV remote from the reception if you wanna watch TV 6. they gave us a password and a username for WiFi, but surprise it didn t worked, our phones couldn t even find the WiFi network.
We are from Dortmund and expected guests from Ecuador. They had booked this hotel for three nights, but when they arrived our situation at home had changed and we were able to let them sleep at our home. We were 45 minutes late for a cancellation on the first day, that was a pity but okay. But we had to pay for the other two nights as well although there had not been any effort or usage of the room at all. That was unfair in my opinion, and I never got an answer to my email in which I asked for a compromise (50% refund). Very immodest!
the hotel was clean and comfortable, better then Ibis budget up the road, sadly there was no police control in the area, we were kept awake most of the night by rowdy drunk men out side the front of the hotel , it would be advised to ask for a room at back of hotel. Cheek to charge 6 euros for parking it should be free. Internet poor service!
Not a very nice area for the setting of this hotel. Wouldn't have felt comfortable walking to or from the train station. Receptionist was abrupt, smoked at the entrance way and wasn't very approachable. She took an issue with the fact we said we wouldn't pay for parking as it was confirmed as free parking on our booking but since we had booked they had brought in charge of 3€ per day. Took one look at our room 'CUPBOARD' and decided we were not staying. It was tired, drab, basic and unappealing. Left within 10 mins of arriving and found a much nicer, more welcoming place to stay 20 mins drive away.
Very dirty carpet with burnt spots from cigarets (although my room was confirmed as non-smoking), smell from canalization in the bathroom, dirty ceiling, drapery turn off, for plug in the lamp you need to lift up the mattress. At least bed and bathroom clean, nice staff at the reception, breakfest normal. However never again ... I could not believe I am in Germany.
Pretty good hotel, comfortable, quiet and very safe. The train station is 5 min walk away. The breakfast is a traditional continental style. Staff are pretty friendly and helpful. Restaurant, coffee shop and giant supermarket all nearby
Bedroom was very clean, shower took a while to warm up but was good once going, check-out not until 12.00pm and staff spoke good English. Easily accessible by car with a free private car park. A few minutes walk to the local train station for an 18 minute journey to Dortmund hbf. Just a shame the only direct train runs only once an hour. A bargain!
Check-in is very late at 3 o'clock. Communication was a little bit less cause of the lack of english of some personal.
