Great stay as always. Breakfast is excellent. If you need to leave before they are open for the breakfast they will give you a full breakfast to take with you in a bag.

Nice hotel, close to everything, nice breakfast...

Excellent hotel with a very good breakfast and helpful staff. In this travel I stayed in four different hotels in Croatia and Spain and this hotel was the best.

Good location, walking distance to downtown. Good breakfast!

Best breakfast ever, don't miss it. Good location, walking distance to downtown. Staid at this hotel twice, helpful staff.

The hotel was adorable and only a ten minute walk from the main square. The room was small, but very clean and with a great A/C.

Hotel is easy walking distance from the train station. While the neighborhood appears sketchy due to the graffiti, we never felt nervous about our safety. Graffiti is the scourge of Zagreb - it is everywhere. The only issue with this hotel is the WiFi service. While loading of websites was at times an issue, getting a signal was a bigger problem. At times it worked fine and at other times it was impossible to get a signal in our room although a strong signal was always available in the lobby. The WiFi problem is why the amenities category was downgraded, otherwise, the amenities were very good. The location is a bit off the beaten track but the tourist attractions are within walking distance - we are not hikers so factor that fact into my comment.

Helpfull staff located in a great area walking distance to everything. I would stay there again.

Cosy hotel with great location. Wide room, but small bathroom. Very good breakfast. About 10 minutes walking to Old Town.

My wife and I stayed here for four nights. It's a 5-10 minute walk to the main square, and a 5 minute walk to the train station. Breakfast was fantastic each morning, and the service was superb. My only complaint was the lack of a fitness room. I'd still highly recommend this hotel.

It doesn't get any better than this in Zagreb; the Astoria is a recently renovated and very centrally-located hotel. The Astoria is excellent value, and while the rooms are small, they are extremely well-appointed and very comfortable. The staff are very friendly and helpful, with complementary beverages available in the lobby. Many of the personnel have worked at the hotel for decades and seem to really care for it, and all the personnel, young and old, have made the transition to a much more customer-oriented, friendly environment.

we loved this hotel and it was close enough to walk from the train station...staff was wonderful, hotel the most comfortable we stayed in on our 30 day trip...we left it for Slovenia and returned for two more days before heading to Dubrovnik...would go back again

I suffered a bad ankle sprain and the hotel staff were very very helpful in providing ice, directions to the local pharmacy, delayed check out.

The room was clean, the bathroom well organized. The only bad thing was perhaps the bed. There was only one not-so-great pillow and the cover looked old. Otherwise, it was good for the price. The breakfast included in the price was quite decent. The hotel is very close to the main train station and to the tram stop which takes you to the main bus station. It was also close to the post office (open almost 24 hrs) and to the main underground shopping center.

excellent hotel to explore zagreb, near the train station and close to a large shopping mall.
