Oceanfront 5-bedroom villa with pool & chef on Sri Lanka's Southernmost point

Silverlane Beach House is uniquely positioned in Dondra, on the very Southernmost tip of Sri Lanka. Look south and there is nothing but ocean between you and Antarctica! The spacious five bedroom villa is designed with families in mind and comes with a full-staff to look after your every need. Sleeping up to twelve the villa comes with a full staff and a private chef to look after your every need.


On the ground floor of Silverlane is a spacious entrance lobby which leads through to the indoor dining area which has views to the garden and the ocean beyond. The large dining table comfortably seats twelve. In this area is the guest fridge in which you are welcome to keep drinks etc. Chef’s kitchen is adjacent to the dining area. Also this floor is a guest cloakroom and the master bedroom.


Outside is a long shady veranda which runs the width of the house, here you will find a further dining table and comfortable sofa seating. The veranda overlooks the back garden, pool and the ocean.


The master bedroom looks out toward the ocean. It has a king sized bed, a dressing table and ample clothes storage. The ensuite has a large walk-in shower.


Moving up to the first floor you will find four bedrooms arranged as two "Jack and Jill" suites. On the East side of the villa are two king-sized double bedrooms separated by a shared dual-access ensuite. Each bedroom has private access from the common areas as well as its own door to the ensuite.

On the West side of this floor are two further bedrooms and a bathroom laid out in identical fashion. One of the rooms has wo sets of bunk beds whilst the other has a king-sized double. This suite is ideal for a group of kids.


On the top floor is the roof terrace. This has a bar area along with stools and tables overlooking the ocean - just the spot for sundowners.


The large back garden is very private and overlooks the ocean, all the way to Antarctica :) The large pool runs almost the whole length of the garden - great for laps - and is lined with sun loungers. At the ocean end of the pool is another dining area, lovely for barbecues in the evening.



Silverlane comes with a full staff to look after you including a fabulous private chef to shop and cook for you. Breakfast is included in the rental, for other meals all you have to pay for are the groceries and transport.


Dondra was the ancient capital of Sri Lanka and not only boasts the largest and (in parts) oldest Temple in the country but also the famous Dondra Head Lighthouse; the tallest in Sri Lanka and built entirely of stone brought all the way from England. The Lighthouse is just a few minute walk from Siverlane and is adjacent to a sheltered sandy cove with safe swimming. Directly in front of the villa is the famous "Dragon's Mouth", a rock pool which marks the islands very Southernmost extremity.
