The staff is very nice and room was clean. Breakfast was your average hotel free breakfast that we were thankful to have provided to us. No frills, but quiet and safe. Our German Shepherd wasn’t bothered by anything in the room or at hotel, so that is always a good thing!
Nice hotel, nice staff who went "above and beyond" when we needed some food items. The breakfast area is small but adequate. Large parking lot with plenty of space to walk our dog. Located "in the middle of nowhere" which means that we had plenty of space.
The whole place was gross. The room smelled and we had to stay there, but we really wanted to just stay in the car. The hotel needs renovation, and the pictures on here are old. I would really just like my money back.
As a group of 4 couples, we reserved 4 rooms well over two months in advance at this Quality Inn. Upon arrival we had difficulty checking in at the quoted price. We specifically reserved rooms (4) for 3 nights because they advertised an indoor pool and hot tub. Upon arrival we found that the hot tub was not working and had not been for several days. We were told by the desk clerk that the maintenance man would be there the next day with parts to repair it. We checked in on a Thursday and stayed through Sunday - the hot tub never got fixed. The "indoor pool" was ICE COLD - mot heated. We mentioned that to the desk clerk and she told us that they shut the heat off in the pool over a week ago because the water reached 90 degrees. We were unable to use the indoor pool because of the temperature. They FINALLY turned up the pool's thermostat on Saturday - one day before we left! The "exercise room" is no larger than a SMALL closet - with three pieces of equipment and barely enough room for two people to move from machine to machine. The "bar" was only open from 3pm to 10pm and the desk clerk had to man both the front desk AND bartend - - and the desk and the bar are at separate ends of the complex! In two of the rooms, the "in-room" refrigerator's did not work! In one room, no matter how the fridges thermostat was set - it literally FROZE everything in it spoiling food that had been placed in it. In the other, the fridge defrosted itself in the middle of the night and soaked the carpet beneath it. And no - we did not leave the door of the fridge open! We were misled on the facility and totally dissatisfied! I would NOT RECOMMEND this hotel.
We were looking for a clean inexpensive hotel for the night and found it. Rooms were nice and clean. Beds are very comfortable. The trip to Platteville is a piece of cake. Standard continental breakfast, no frills but worked fine. All in all I would stay here again in a heartbeat.
The motel has been totally renovated. The new owners are really making this place nice. The desk clerk made me feel welcome and made check in easy. My room was clean and had all the amenities that I'm use to. The bed was comfy. It was nice that I could go to the in house bar and have a night cap before bed. Breakfast was plentiful and kept clean. Loved the salt water pool. Very reasonably priced. The truck stop, across the road, had a good restaurant for dinner.
We stayed here the night of our wedding as well as had over 20 other rooms booked for our family who came to town for our wedding. Some stayed a day and other stayed up to a week. The new owners have redone the entire hotel- all rooms, carpeting, walls, decor, bedding, style- everything and it looks so fresh and nice. The pool is actually a salt water pool and there is a small bar BUT what makes it nice is that it is only open certain hours (not normal up to 2am bar hours) most of the time unless there is a party that requests is to be open longer- this makes it a very quiet hotel. Lovely service and all staff was helpful. The owners themselves helped us to organize and go over our lists of family coming in- their special requests for some family that were elderly or had other physical limitations; got everything right and was a smooth stay for all. Rooms are so quiet and lovely.
My stay here was pretty typical. Desk staff were friendly, the room was clean and comfortable. Even though it was homecoming for a nearby college town, it was relatively quiet. Typical breakfast options were plentiful (cereal, fruit, toast, eggs, etc...) Because I was there for such a short time, I can't really comment on most of the facility. I would stay there again.
Beer ticket instead of cookies upon check in - Only in Wisconsin. The building has been recently renovated inside. The room was large, clean, quiet, and comfortable. For some reason we got the "disability" room. My only issue here is that there is no counter space in the bathroom - none. The shower is adjustable so I was able to get it up high enough. The towels were of a good size and relatively thick. The water was very soft and the soap lathered really well. Again we left early in the morning so we could not partake of the breakfast. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. Belmont is only a few miles north of Platteville. I think the hotels in Platteville are over priced due to the university campus. So if you are planning to visit Platteville give this hotel a consideration.
hotel was average, breast fast was poor all they had was cereal, toast, and a few rolls, rooms where clean, shower rod was loose and wouldn't keep the curtain close while in the shower. The main reason we choose to stay at this hotel was do to being the start of the tri county atv trail. leave form the hotel hit the trails and its easy to get to with a big group, truck and trailer
