This is a gigantic hotel that appears to be set up for large groups. In winter time it's very quiet and almost empty. In that case, it would be wise to not place customers in adjoining rooms - the walls are not very thick. Give them a buffer. The entire hotel is empty, just one empty room in between is all I ask.
It is where we stay when we have DSU events. I have had good luck every time we have stayed here. Staff are friendly. Rooms are clean.
Building was a bit of a maze. My folks got lost looking for the dining area and the lobby. Walls are a bit thin, could hear talking in the neighoring room. Breakfast was just okay despite there being a decent selection. Most notablely the eggs were a bit weird/rubbery. Overall though it was a nice enough stay.
Nice place to stay during our visit to the Badlands; service a little slow at the desk; could use an additional person there during peak hours.
The rooms and halls carpets were dirty and smelly. Had to change rooms to get a better smelling one. Just not enough staff to take care of such a big place

The AC in the room was not working and I contacted the motel and they did nothing. The temps were in the 90s.
Bathtub had a ring around it. Easily noticed, not a stain, looks like housekeeping skipped cleaning it a couple of times. Pool was nice for kids. Just disappointing based on how nice it looked online.
Not really kid friendly. Also mattress for couch was TERRIBLE. “Breakfast” was muffins and granola bars ... was expecting more. Pool was cold.
The front desk employee (Carey?) who checked us in was incredibly rude. The hotel advertised breakfast, but he explained that there was none, not because of COVID, which would be understandable, but because they had “run out” of their Grab and Go breakfasts. The desk chair in our room was broken and completely unusable. There was an empty soda bottle on the floor (so much for deep cleaning). South Dakota is currently the U.S. virus center and none of the staff wore masks. Do not stay here!
Nice hotel. Clean and up-to-date rooms. Friendly staff. And a decent bar which was appreciated after being on the road for 15 hours. Would recommend this place.
Old, run down, and the rooms were damp and smelly. Closer to a 1 star than a 3 star. Should not be a Best Western, more like a Super 8.
The place is clean overall and they have a nice seating area by the pool. Breakfast wasn’t much but okay.
For its location I was pleasantly surprised the size of the property. The rooms were bigger than I thought. There is an excellent indoor pool that guests were enjoying at all times during the day. It’s getting a little on the older side and some easy upkeep could keep it in top form. A comfortable distance from Teddy Rosevelt National Park and Bismarck where we flew into.
The floor around the pool and the hot tub needs to be completely scrubbed and cleaned its mildewy and slimy. Paint is peeling on the walls in the bathrooms. The carpet needs to be replaced. The cable went out twice for long periods of time. Then the coffee pot quit working in the middle of making a cup of coffee. The two highlights at this place are the breakfast buffet and the staff is extremely nice.
Great breakfast! Water pipes squealed after flushing the toilet.
Great value for the dollar and good location. The lobby was nice and provided a good breakfast. The Wi-Fi was good, too.
