Excellent location!
We have been coming to Dewey since the mid-nineties and have stayed at the AO since the early 2000’s and we were pleasantly surprised to see so many changes. It seems that the owners are really trying to create a good property with the two motels combining and it seems to be going in the right direction. Everyone was so friendly at check in and checkout.
The patio and extra patio was amazing. Close to the beach and the bay was a big plus. Staff was super friendly. Room was great, wish the windows would open but the AC was quiet and cool.
This place was so unorganized and bad service that it was absolutely not worse it for $545 per night at all! The door lock jammed the next after check in and we couldn’t get in, we reported to front desk, they said they will replace the door lock, we had to leave for dinner after rerun from dinner, we couldn’t find the front desk to return our keys, we were locked out for 45 minutes and trying to call the hotel phone number or night shift, but the didn’t pick up the phone, finely close to midnight he showed up, the next day we were behind in check out and they started at 11am calling to non-stop to check out!
It is very good location, room had everything I needed, staff is friendly.
This was the greatest week of my life, the beach is pet friendly and after 5pm dogs are able to roam free on the beach. The property is nice and staff were very nice and professional. The breakfast options were a little small but for a complimentary breakfast were more than adequate. My boyfriend and I will definitely be back again!

Close to the beach and staff is very nice. Got an efficiency room but the table was wedged in the corner and not useable. Called to see if there were utensils in the room and was told yes. Only had 2 spoons. Asked front desk but didn’t get any. All things considered, was ok.
good price; dog friendly, responsive cleaning staff. Ocean side so an easy walk in the am and at dusk to the beach with our dog. Bed was nicely made but very hard & the location - across from the Bottle and Cork - makes for a lot of noise until the wee hours on weekends. Otherwise, great place. We will likely return with our dog!

Perhaps if the weather was great and you were only in the room to sleep it would be fine. That being said, it rained all weekend so we got a really good feel for the room. Very noisy... can hear neighbors tv, ice machine in the hallway (all night), music from live venue across the street, and lots of drunk people coming home from bars. Shower has only lukewarm water. Very rough towels. No iron in room. Tiny tv. Can not open curtains unless you want people to look in when walking by. Only pro’s that I see: one block walk to beach access, Dewey beer co has good food & drinks and is only 4 blocks walk.
It was a nice little hotel close to the water. Had a outside swimming pool too.
The staff was pleasant but the hotel room was not clean, the rug as filthy and the room spelled bad.

This motel is located in Dewey Beach, DE which is a great place to bring you dog. The beach is dog friendly and so is this motel. They only charge a small amount night to have your dog in the room with you. But, the outlets to charge your devices are so old that most plugs just fall out of the wall They do have fast and reilable wifi. The room I had didn't have a phone and no place to hang up my clothes. Also no iron, hair dryer, and ironing board. There was a fridge and microwave in the room. The other room we had the tv was full of static and hard to watch. The TNT channel was completely unwatchable. The pool was nice and the sun decks are comfortable.
The staff was very nice and helpful, price and location was very good. Just needs some updating and cosmetic work.
Atlantic Oceanside is in fact not a resort. I checked in on Thursday 3/16. My stay was until Sunday 3/19. The first thing the front desk asked me to do was call from the room and let them know my address to verify our stay and confirmation from Orbitz. The phone in the room did not work so I called from my cell. Perfectly fine. Okay no harm done. I notify the front desk that I am calling from my cell phone from room 116 and that the phone to our room was not working. The woman at the front desk shrugged it off and we went about our day. The following day we were too have housekeeping as stated from there confirmation email that housekeeping services are provided from 10am-2pm daily. Throughout our entire stay we never got housekeeping services. We had to turn down and change our own linens after requesting them 4hrs earlier and nothing had been done. We had to take out our own trash as the hotel staff stood in our doorway after we notified them that no one came to our room to provide such services. We had to call two days in a row for toilet paper and fresh towels to be supplied to us. And had to wait over an hour after two phone calls wereade to the front desk in a half hour time period. Asked to speak with a manager and no one ironically was on site. The venue is dirty and just a horrible place/experience.
