Best Western Exeter Lord Haldon Country Hotel

Worth finding

We had trouble finding this hotel. We drove down lots of single track lanes and had to reverse back a couple of times. Stopped to ask someone if they knew where the hotel was and he stated "I wish I had a pound for every time I have been asked that question". We eventually found it and were pleasantly surprised. The view was fantastic and the rooms were very comfortable. We had a lovely meal in the dining room and discovered that breakfast was included in the price. Excellent value!!!

Hampton by Hilton Exeter Airport

Incredibly convenient to Exeter Airport

If you're traveling to the SW of England, Exeter is a really nice airport to deal with--small with nice short lines and pretty good connections. This hotel is a 5 minute walk from the terminal (there is a shuttle too if you have bags) and is pleasant, clean and efficient. Nothing exotic or with great local color, but that's not what it's trying to be. For what it is--a place to stay immediately on arriving (we were driving out the next day) or before an early morning flight, it is perfect.

Collaven Manor Hotel

Awesome 2 night stay.

We where in the UK for a wedding and decided to take a separate trip to Devon/Cornwall for a few days. Collaven Manor came up on the search and I booked it not really knowing what we would be in for. Great location thats less than 1.5 miles from the A30. Full of character and old world charm with very friendly staff. You get a full English breakfast included and they will ask if you want to have Dinner there also. Our suggestion is to have Dinner there at least once as the cooking is very high quality and the menu varied. The only slight issue was the wifi connection in our room kept slowing down. But hey, you don't go to Devon for the wifi so overall not a big issue. So glad we chose it - highly recommend !

Mercure Exeter Rougemont Hotel

Nice place to stay in Exeter

The Rougemont is a 3 1/2 star facility directly across the street from Exeter Central Railway station and within easy walking distance to the cathedral and downtown restaurants. The room was clean and quite. One note of warning. The lift/elevator only goes up to the third floor, so if you have any heavy luggage or a difficulty climbing stairs, make sure you request a room on floors one, two or three. The stairs to the forth floor are many and in one area, quite narrow.
