Stayed here recently for one night. It is located in Lockyer Street, which is very close to the Hoe and the town centre. The railway station is around 15-20 minutes away on foot. My single room was most comfortable and was nicely decorated. The bathroom was quite small but the shower was powerful and hot. The owners were friendly and helpful. I unfortunately missed breakfast due to oversleeping, but the cost of £60 for the night was most reasonable.
I recently had a fabulous stay here, the staff were very friendly and welcoming, the room was perfect, not too hot, I had a great sleep, breakfast was great with a variety of choice, the staff were always willing to accommodate, situated in an ideal spot, not far from the main shopping centre, I like the view from the window, the street was pretty quiet too, I would recommend this hotel to anybody and I will definitely stay here at a later date, but next time I will be bringing my children along,
We stayed overnight before catching the ferry. The hotel is beautifully decorated. The owners are really friendly and provide a really useful folder in the room with suggestions on where to visit, eat and drink . The public areas are also very smart and the breakfast was outstanding. Free parking is available . The location is also excellent for exploring the town, the Hoe, and very handy for the ferry.
Beds were so comfortable. Amazing breakfasts. Staff were very knowledgeable about Plymouth and any requests were met with enthusiasm. Small bath towels but you can ask for larger towels for the larger bodies!
Great location, manager was friendly and made us feel welcome , recommended a fish restaurant in town called platters, it's really reasonable and the food was fantastic ! Our room was lovely , breakfast was very nice plenty of choice from full English to kippers or cereals/porridge , all the staff were friendly will recommend to friends and will be back soon hopefully ! A relaxing break
Booked a single room on booking.com last minute so I could view properties in Plymouth. Beautiful compact room with a real designers touch. Excellent wifi. Staff are lovely and efficient. Bar but no restaurant, just breakfast served which is also excellent, nice choices I really enjoyed my kedgeree. Plus you can ask for the gluten free menu.Ten minutes from the central shops, restaurants and bars. Really comfy bed slept like a log! Would stay again!
Stayed for 3 nights in July, and I honestly can't fault the place Bedroom was comfortable and spotless - yes I was sad enough to check on top of the cupboards and light switches. Breakfast was excellent, especially the full english. Staff were all very attentive and helpful Can't comment on the location as we used it as a base to see our daughter working nearby, and to visit some of the surrounding villages Plan to comeback to see Plymouth and will definitely stay at the Imperial
We arrived recently for a brief visit to Plymouth with my relative from the US. We were met with polite reception who kindly ushered us to your private car park round the back of the hotel. Our relative is not the easiest customer to please but she was very impressed with the kindness of the helpful reception and kitchen staff who attended to her needs. We enjoyed the variety and freshness of the breakfasts served which one does not get in many hotels/B & Bs these days. We were not only impressed by the decor but the special care taken by the staff in maintaining and cleaning the rooms. Everything was well thought of - three lovely pieces of chocolates in our rooms with plenty of biscuits and tea/coffee making facilities. The bathroom is clean and had a great shower. There is a water cooler in the lounge area with plenty of reading materials. This charming hotel combined with the convenient proximity of the Hoe and the city centre makes a perfect holiday stop. We definitely will be back.
Staff very welcoming on arrival, John was very helpful in getting me parked as I was in a large van, even borrowed me some change for the meter! Thanks very much! Rooms very clean modern &a the breakfast was delicious. I will be definelty visiting again on my next trip to Plymouth!
We stayed in Landsend room which was more of a suite as had a hallway leading to bathroom and a back door we could come and go through without even walking through the hotel. Was a lovely room and an excellent bathroom with big modern shower.Staff warm friendly and helpful. The only minor negative was our towels were still bit damp the next morning as radiators we put them on wernt on to make sure they were dry .Breakfast was nice ..we ate in the lounge as was lovely and peaceful .Would recommend the Imperial as great location near the Barbican and on the Hoe ☺
