fast check in - valet parking included with room easy walk to Cobo

Staff was very nice. The hotel just wasn't as nice as the pictures suggested. Our room door lock was broken upon arrival and, after switching out keys, they had to change the lock. The door would wiggle 1/4 inch when closed. This has that 80's hotel feel..

Some of elevators did not work the first night I was there. Other than that, this hotel was terrific and very close to the Court where I had to do business.

Room was very clean but smelled a little stuffy when we first walked in. Other than the very inconsiderate people in the hallway yelling at 2am and again at 6am it was a good visit. Guys at the valet were awesome as were the front desk people!

The hotel was convenient for our venue. Personable staff. Liked the fact there was a bar/ restaurant onsite.

Check in is supposed to be at 3. Our room still wasn't ready at 4:30. The staff just kept saying you have a large room. When we finally got keys they were still changing pillow cases. Heating unit was leaking all over carpet. Carpet was soaked. Shower was moldy and pretty much a piece of plastic from 30 years ago. Disgusting!!

We had a great experience with all the staff at this hotel. We loved the location as we could walk nearly anywhere in the city and were right downtown for such an affordable price.

Nice hotel, didn't expect to pay for valet as the driver said it was included with our stay. Overall good though.

My first visit to Detroit with family, when inquired at front desk if they could assist with information about city tours, they were neither helpful nor knowledgeable about it. Valet parked the car 12 blocks away, it took more than half hour to retrieve our car. Breakfast ends at 9 30 AM even on weekends. beds were not made despite removal of privacy sign. Elevators refused to move after closing the doors on several occasions , only to start back up after several open-closing of the doors, totally unpredictable and scary. Dirty and sticky carpets. Hotel was packed, smoking rules not enforced despite our complaints, quiet time rule after 10 PM was simply a joke. We were woken up by loud human and mechanical noises at 330AM . Holiday Inn! go change it, you are far better than this abomination. I am a loyal customer of your chain, this place truly disappointed me.

Check in not ideal and noisey first nite, but after bringing it to the management attention, every effort was made to accommodate us. Staff exceptionally nice and efficient. I would go there again.

Room is not clean , very old & service also bad . Why so expensive ?

WE HAD A GREAT TIME IN DETROIT, WENT TO A BALL GAME, WALKED AROUND, WENT TO GREEK TOWN ROAD THE PEOPLE MOVER. HOLIDAY IN WAS VERY CLOSE TO ALL, PLACE WAS CLEAN, EMPLOYEE WERE VERY NICE. THE BREAKFAST WAS GREAT. ENJOYED ARE STAY, WILL STAY AGAIN.

close enough to Atwater Brewery and Comerica Park. good breakfast and clean room. We all enjoyed our stay here very much.

Perfect hotel for a short weekend getaway. Very clean, super friendly staff, and the morning breakfast was very tasty. Definitely will stay again in the future! Our only small issue was the hotel shuttle service - we waited a bit (15+ minutes) for the shuttle but it never arrived, so we walked to the people mover to get to our destination instead. Not a huge issue since it is pretty close. Thanks!

This hotel was super clean, kudos to the housekeeping staff. The breakfast staff kept everything very tidy and everyone was very friendly! We ran into some maintenance glitches...no hot water in the sink (tub was fine), and we kept losing power in the room. The shuttle and valet service was extremely efficient and got us to and from our destination very promptly. The hotel is old but is run very well. For the money I would prefer to stay closer to Ford Field, but I felt that we were treated very well!

The hotel is nicely located by the people mover, so you have direct access to the entire city within minutes. The hotel was clean and staff was friendly. The only thing I noticed that was not the best was that the walls are very thin, so you can hear everything that is happening in the rooms around you.

Great location to stay at for concerts at the Fillmore or a game at Coamerica Park.

Was very clean, staff was more than friendly. Area of town was nice. Whould recommend for a place to lay your head.

It was as expected. Comfortable beds and the amenities such as fridge, microwave and coffee maker are standard. A Good morning breakfast included. Thought parking fee a little high at $27.00 but the Free taxi or shuttle to within 3 mile radius of Hotel made up for it. Hotel was close to most everywhere I needed to go.
