this is an airport hotel just ok for overnight stay

This is a good convenient choice if you have a flight to catch the next day. Staff was friendly and efficient. Breakfast bar had coffee ready before 5 am - thank you! One suggestion, the early morning shuttle to the airport should enforce the head count of reservations for shuttle taken at the front desk. Our shuttle was very overcrowded.

Very busy. Long wait in line. Remodeling so when asked for another chair (only a desk chair there) told during this time all rooms are the same. broken window in restaurant. Staff weary and wanting to leave when it was not close to closing. Broken window stills yet to be repaired. Things looked nice. Beds comfortable. Glad we did not pay top dollar.

Stranded here with a toddler after a missed connection at DTW. Charged extra to use their crib. Staff seemed indifferent to basically everything, including when the airport shuttle left before the scheduled time without us even though we had "reserved" a spot. Manager was in evidence, though, and he seemed passionate about having happy customers and frustrated with his staff, so things might move in the right direction later. Breakfast wasn't anything to wrote home about, but it was a large step up from dry cereal and prepackaged pastries.

Room condition poor, cracked ceiling, water damage, peeling wallpaper. Bed was hard, road noise too. I believe they are in the process of renovation. Good deal for 1 night stay plus 7 days parking

quick drive from the airport to the hotel. Good room for this class of hotel

Arrived late on a rainy night with my handicapped mother, sister and nephew after a long day. Had previously spent hours on the phone booking the reservation to be sure we would have a handicap accessible room and not be surprised late that night. There was no handicap accessible room. No offer for a refund. No recommendation for who might have a room in the area at that hour. Mom decided we should stay anyway and she would use the public restroom in the lobby. Found the "handicap" public restroom to not actually be handicap accessible so she just held it all night. Hotel was in terrible disrepair. Finally got into the room and there was water pouring through the ceiling in three locations. Switched to another room and same problem. Finally, on the fourth room, at 2am before a 5am flight, two hours after arriving at the hotel, made it into a dingy room where the beds were at least dry. I felt terrible for the young man at the front desk. He was trying so hard to make things right but he was working with crap.

Comfortable bed. Clean as a whistle. Shuttle fast and on time.

Remodeling but nice real happy with my room comfortable. .

This hotel is quite old, but we were staying just in the middle of a major revamping work. Our rooms, as well as corridors, felt newer and clean (except some little rust around the bathtub faucet - but for one night, who cares? Other than than, bathroom was clean). Outside as well as the restaurant are either in the middle or before of refacing, but it seems these will come soon. Overall, for just about $100/night our long weekend stay with 7 days parking was a good deal. The reception desk - however - claimed that no third party, including Orbitz, had a right to reserve airport parking rate - which is supposed to be done exclusively on their web site, they said. They honored our Orbitz reservation though, so it went without much pain. Better double check with them or Orbitz before you book.

Looks like they were remodeling the hotel. What is done looks very nice, but the parking lot had supplies everywhere making it hard to get through.

Since we planned to be gone all day, just looking for a clean place to sleep. We didn't need a lot of amenities. We were surprised how quiet it was despite being across street from the airport.

Have stayed here on multiple occasions, always to depart very early the next day from DTW. Nice staff. Clean and neat rooms, but just off the mark for creature comforts. Linens, towels etc could be higher quality.

There was no mirror in the room. The breakfast wasn't why I was expecting,, fruits wasn't fresh.

I usually fly out of DTW 2 or 3 times a year even though I live 2 hours from DTW in Ohio. My flight is always a very early flight leaving the country so I drive up the night before and stay the night. Since the first time I did this about 5 years ago I have stayed at the Days Inn. I have to admit my first thought was being able to eat and have drink and just go straight to my room and that has also brought me back many times. But the friendliness of everyone from the front counter to the restaurant area is very good. I have a great time with a great rate! Thank You!

It is close to the airport, and rental car. It has a nice restaurant inside for a quick bit to eat. All in all, it was good for the price.

Great location for traveling to Detroit Metro, right next to car rental returns. Hotel is old but decent rooms, while some rooms are much better than others. Day time staff is business like and sometimes stone-cold and appear arrogant, but that graveyard shift/late night/early morning guy is the exception--he is very friendly and efficient, a stark difference from the day time staff. Breakfast is too simple: biscuit and gravy, hard broiled eggs, toasts, yogurt and apples, but no any other forms of eggs.

The hotel was close to the airport. Much nicer than others that I've stayed in overnight before catching my flight. There are a couple of fast food joints nearby & being on Middlebelt Rd makes it accessible to the freeway. The room itself had ordinary decor but the TV had nice channel selection. Bed was really comfy!!! Shower was awesome although needed more towels in bathroom. Rug needed shampooing but was clean other wise. The furnishings were a little old but serviceable. Didn't try the lounge & bar but another guest told me it wasn't bad. The shuttle to the airport was prompt however. Would definitely stay here again.

We arrived at DTW late, stayed at DI it was a great clean comfortable room. Would defiantly stay next time I fly out of DTW

Not a very good stay becaues of the following: -piles of trashbags on the side of building DISGUSTING -NASTY NASTY carpet througout the hotel that needs to be REPLACED -MUSTY odor throughout the hotel becaues of the OLD building and HORRIBLE carpet -airconditioning unit raised off the ground inside of the room and LOUD - staff came to the room in the morning asking us if we needed anything UNPROFESSIONALLY dressed in pajamas and a headscarf -people were actually living in the hotel like and apartment complex and they were being LOUD and walking around the hotel in pajamas -went down to continental breakfast and it was PITIFUL no meat!!!! just horrible I thought since they had a restaurant on site they would have cooked more than biscuits and gravy -restaurant opened for lunch late 1 1/2 hours late which was a DISAPPOINTMENT so my husband and i went somewhere else -the picture was misleading becaues the lobby and the restaurant are very nice and updated really well but the minute you get of the elevator on your floor your in the ghetto -THE WHOLE HOTEL MAD ME ITCH PLEEEEEASE RECONSIDER STAYING AT THIS HOTEL!!!!
