Cozy and comfortable with easy access to UW campus.

Quaint, nicely updated, and convenient to campus. We were able to walk to Washington University in under 7 min, and enjoyed easy access to coffee shops and casual dining as well as the 1 Line. Looking forward to returning!

Charming and easy; comfy room with a nice window bench for reading. Parking easy if you arrive late in the evening; upstairs loft has all the amenities of a kitchen and living room including seattle tour guide books; make sure you know that there are stairs only to the upper floors

Proximity to UW

Unique Euro-style hotel; quaint setting, and small but well appointed cozy rooms. Do note that not all rooms have en-suite bathrooms, so some caution in booking a given room is necessary.

The room was very clean. IT is an older hotel, but it has been nicely updated. I was glad I changed my room to the room with an attached bathroom. The bed was worn out, but comfortable.

I loved the loft area and the excellent breakfast. I didn’t like the fact that the last night of our stay, I woke up and the second landing window had been open all night. Security issue as well as a heating issue. It was freezing!!

I made this review very hastily and didn't note that the hotel rooms lacked both a bathroom and air conditioning. Having one men's toilet for a floor full of people isn't acceptable. The room was about 95 degrees when I entered with no way to cool it down other than to open windows. Also, a single light switch turns on and off all of the lights in the room. The location is great, but for $170 a night, one can do much, much better.

No bathrooms in the rooms, no televisions, no elevators.

Thank you for staying with us, and we appreciate the nice review. You are correct that only our "Premium" rooms have Private Bathrooms. And our more economical "European Style" room have shared bathrooms. We try to make this distinction very explicit in our room descriptions, but if a guest happens to make an error in their room decision, we are happy to upgrade them to a Premium room for a small fee if we have availability.

Thank you for staying with us. Sorry for the issue with your bed. We updated all of our beds in the last two years, but I will be checking yours out to determine if there is something wrong with it or the boxspring.

Thank you for staying with us, and I am glad that you enjoyed our Loft common area and our complimentary continental breakfast. I am very sorry about the open window. It is part of our nightly procedure to regularly walk through the hotel to ensure that everything is in order and secure. Clearly an open window in the middle of winter means that this didn't happen often enough on the last night of your stay. I will be reviewing our processes with our Innkeepers to make sure that this does not happen again.

I am sorry that your stay with us did not live up to your expectations. We are a historic and budget-friendly European-style hotel, and we do try to be very upfront about our amenities in our listing and then in the confirmation email that follows. Currently we do offer four toilets and four showers per floor, but based on feedback like yours, we will be adding bathrooms to our larger rooms this winter in order to give our guests more options. Also as you note, we do not offer air conditioning in our rooms, due to Seattle's generally mild climate. Unfortunately it appears that you visited us on one of the hotter days of this summer, and our ceiling fan was not sufficient. We do have extra fans available in the office if needed. And all rooms do have bedside reading lamps in addition to the main overhead lamps.

I am sorry that you did not enjoy your stay and wish that you would have provided us with more information about what went wrong. As the brand new owner of the College Inn, I take our guests' feedback very seriously, and make sure that we do everything possible to resolve any issues so the next guests do not have the same experience.

Thank you for staying with us. Our hotel is 110 years old and on the National Historic Register. Unfortunately not having an elevator is one of the limitations of our 110 year old building, but all of the rooms are on the 2nd and 3rd floors, so there are not too many steps. Also, we are a European-style hotel which means that we have shared men's and shared women's bathrooms on each floor, a sink in every room, and complimentary continental breakfasts. I am the new owner of the property, and really appreciate getting feedback from our guests, which helps me prioritize our improvements. You will be happy to know that we will be adding TVs to several of the rooms, so when you come back make sure to check the amenities if this is something that you would like.
