Hotel was in a great location and the room was fairly clean. There was a very strong odor however and the room had an ant problem as well as cobwebs.

This is a $75 or less/night motel. the staff is sub par accommodating/service. the room was not cleaned properly. soap rings left on the shower shelf. if the motel wasn't upgraded in furnishings, this place would have felt grungy. the grab and go breakfast is all processed food, i.e., packaged muffin, granola bars, and quaker oatmeal. Coffee was good but they only provided coffeemate creamer in large vat with all that sugar in it instead of little creamers. the first room we were given had an awful fish smell. we weren't told at checkin that you have to request a coffee maker in the room so in the morning when I awoke and needed my caffeine fix, I was fit to be tied. You just assumme there's a coffee maker in the room, esp. at an extended stay with a full kitchen.

The night staff lady was rude and their website said they had roll away beds but did not. Other than those this hotel is nice and wonderful for big families.

My experience was pleasant! Price was reasonable and the room was more spacious than I expected!

Clean and comfortable for my stay. Ok value for the price.

This property is just what the doctor ordered for business travelers on a budget. Nothing fancy, but it's clean and well kept. The staff is very friendly and helpful. It is located conveniently close to dining, shopping and commercial areas. If all you need is a place to sleep and shower in the morning, this is it.

wanted to try an extended stay motel, we only stayed overnight, it was a good test stay. we will look for similar motels for future stays of three or more days, the full kitchen would be handy for light lunches, snacks, and cold drinks.

I am tired of staying in extended stay hotels where I am supposedly provided with a "non-smoking" room, but the room reeks of stale smoke which either comes from the ventilation system, or indicates that the room was originally a smoking room and the smell has never dissipated. Having a fresh and clean smelling room, that doesn't pollute my hair and clothes, would make my stay more enjoyable. This seems to happen frequently with the Extended Stay family of hotels. Having shampoo provided in rooms would also be helpful.

I got what I paid for. However, considering my room had a kitchen and a couch, I got a little bit more for my money. However, the sheets lightly smelled like smoke, and the hallways reeked of cooked food. The front desk service was good, but I only interacted with them during my check-in/check-out. I've stayed in better places, but I've also had a lot worse. The area is a commercial district with a nice resdential neighborhood nearby, so I felt pretty safe in the area. Very close are plenty of restaurants and a grocery store next to a mall. The bottom line is it's a place to stay; nothing more.

Everyone was courteous and helpful as always !!

The staff was attentive and courteous but the room was not properly cleaned. It appeared as though perhaps the sheets were not changed and the bathroom was not thoroughly cleaned.

we went to the state fair and seen some famly

i was there for my bachlorette party. we went to the iowa state fair for the first time then out to the bars downtown. i enjoyed the kitchen because we were able to make mac and cheese in the middle of the night. they even have a dishwasher and i dont even have one!!! impressed with the whole stay! staff was wonderful to us.

I booked my room through a 3rd party site for a 1-night stay. It's OK for the price. The room was rather depressing because the furnishings and decor were very dated and showing some wear; I was definitely reminded that I was traveling on a budget. I can't really address the noise level, because whenever I stay in a hotel I always run the fan in the heat/AC unit nonstop to drown out any possible noise. (That said, I didn't hear any noise over the fan.) The hotel is conveniently located and is very close to the freeway/interstate and plenty of nearby places to eat.

We arrived in Des Moines & was greeted by an amazing clerk, [...]. We had questions on where to local An Eagles club and she helped by calling someone she knew personally. Every time we spoke with her she was very friendly.

We loved the location (walked to restaurants & stores), appreciated the refrigerator, stove, microwave & useful utensils. However, we always book a hotel with a pool. Upon check-in we were told the pool was not open & probably would not be all week-end. The pool was small but looked sparkling clean and clear. We were told the chemicals weren't adjusted properly. We asked about reciprocal agreements with other hotels and were told they did not have any. We paid for admission to the city pool in Clive. Hotel pool never opened.

no coffee refill for day 2 noisy
